Opinions on Rarity in season 4

She's been amazing so far. Well of course I would say that... only because it's true(it's totally not my unconditional fanbronyism of her saying that, except maybe a little).

Good supporting roles/dialogue so far, an absolutely amazing episode revolving around her, beautiful songs/singing parts- Rarity has returned to being as great as she was during season 1, thank god. And with another episode with her having a central role coming soon(Simple Ways), I see no signs of her momentum slowing down. Season 4 is the Return of Rarity baby.

still 'any unicorn' can learn how to find gems, if ponyville unicorns don't want to learn magic that's other 2 bits.

Well, according to Twilight herself, she only knows the spell because Rarity taught it to her. We've never seen any other unicorn than the two of them use the spell, and Twilight is the Element of Magic, so it makes sense she could learn it. Indeed, she seems to have powered it up. Any way, that still doesn't prove "any unicorn" is capable of it.

 

I'm really glad Rarity seems to have experienced a popularity surge recently. Many fans are now discovering what we've known all along... Rarity is one fantastic pony!

 

As for Rarity Takes Manehatten, her generosity was highlighted, perhaps even a little too much, but that seems to have been to silence those who doubt that aspect of her. Even her breakdown and freak out is very understandable if you consider all the emotional turmoil and stress the events leading up to it put on her.

 

She's the same pony I always loved, she's just being focused on a little more than in Season 3.

Rarity has been a wonderfully written, VAed, and animated character so far in this season, a lot better than most of the other Mane6.

i think Season 4 was really good season of Rarity  Some good episodes of her and writers really stepped up from the lack of Rarity we all suffered in season 3
