Foal villains

  1. 1. Would you consider that evil foals could be good villains?

    • Yes, of course. Now that I think it, a foal villain could be excellent.

    • No, a foal villain could spoil everything

Throughout the course of the series we've seen the next villains:

- NightMare Moon

- Discord

- Queen Chrysalis

- King Sombra

- Sunset Shimmer

- Dr. Caballeron

- Suri Polomare

We love them and hate them at the same time. They've been essential for the series and a headache for main or secondary characters.

Now, I don't know if it's your case but in mine I think that series could get even cooler it is whether the correct type of villain is introduced. What kind of villain?: Creepy Child or Enfant terrible.

That's right. A maniacal, evil, ruthless, mysterious and cunning child/children is what the series could use to increase its audience and, at the same time, give the CMC their very own really stories and be a nightmare for Mane 6 and, maybe, for princesses as well (At least from my standpoint).

"But wait, aren't Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon supposed to be the little bad brats on the show?"

Yeah, that's true; but many of us know they're so unimportant that they barely appear as, at least, cameos in many episodes. In short, both of them fall into the trope "Kids are cruel" meaning they're just a couple of misbehavioured brats whose unique role is bullying others.

Really, you'd settle for that?

A foal villain/s would make interesting changes if he/she/they is/are like the Delightful Children From Down The Lane from Codename: KND, or The Infant from Inuyasha, or like The three espers from AKIRA, or like Eric Cartman from South Park, and I can suggest and suggest psycho children for hours.

In other words, the series is pretty good but a foal villain/s could make it more interesting.

Here are the links from above-mentioned tropes:

- Enfant Terrible: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EnfantTerrible

- Creepy Child: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CreepyChild

- Kids are Cruel: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/KidsAreCruel

Well, what do you say? Agree? Disagree? Anything else you'd like to share? What name you'd give to he/she/them?

I feel a need to point out that "antagonist" and "villain" are hardly the same thing. Polomare was deceptive to win a contest but far from a villain worthy of listing alongside Chrysalis. That's like putting a neighborhood bully on par with Al Quaeda.

As for a foal villain...Could be interesting. Though personally, I'm still awaiting the surprise future episode where it turns out that Flutterbat, prior to being cured, set off a batpony plague across the land. >:3

Not a bad Idea. I feel like the Creepy Child trope has more of a home in horror games and creepypastas, however you may be on to something with the Enfant Terrible example. I could definitely see an episode pulling off an evil child who wins the other character's trust by acting cute and innocent before leading them into a trap of sorts, preferably with a lot of Evil Gloating.
