It was a bustling evening in Detrot, as street racers were back to their normal groove. Nitro Spark was cruising around in his brand new Lamborghini Egotista. Ponies were looking in awe as Nitro zoomed by them. He was heading to a local bar, where he heard some pro street racers were meeting.

Frost revved his engine as he roared down the street. His Audi R8's metallic paint job glowing in the city street lights. He pressed his gas pedal down to speed up, catching up to the car in question he looked out his window to see is best friend, and racing enthusiast, Nitro. "Heeeeeey nice ride man! When were you able to afford such a killer toy?!" He called out over his music that vibrated the car.

"Ah, went back to the gang's lair and found a load of bits stashed. I was also saving some bits of my own. Figured I'd give the ol' Saleen a rest, after all she's been through. This thing is like WAY better than my Saleen. So where are you headed off to. I was gonna go the bar down the road and meet up with some of the guys there if ya want to come along." Nitro stated.

Frost turned off his music and laughed. "Right! Those bits!" He smiled "I just closed up my shop and was going for a drive...maybe you've heard of it hehe?" He asked with a large smirk across his face. "It's reallllly popular with all the underground racers...hey. You said you were headed to a bar? Mind if I tag along? We haven't spoken in a while." He stated with a friendly grin

"Yeah...I was headed to a bar. The guys over there are really awesome. I heard there was this one guy who won three pink slips in one night! I've gotta race that guy. He drives an FXX...if you seen one of those. They are freaking awesome." Nitro stated as he turned into the bar.

Frost nodded, showing he was impressed. "Three pink slips eh? Well he must be good. As for the FXX I have seen them...but not in person...it hasnt been in the shop...or at least long enough for me to catch a glimpse at it." He said with a laugh. "But I have been upgrading lately.....how about a little race to the bar? For old times sake." He smirked

"I'm gonna win that FXX for our friend Rut. Remember he crashed his Barchetta during that fight with Grindspark? After all that he's been though, he deserves a major upgrade from last time. I know I could beat this guy without having to go all out and cheat." Nitro Spark stated.

Frost nodded "That is true he dies need a new ride....and that FXX would be a good birthday present." He said with a laugh. "Hey! Maybe I could race with you guys....I haven't had a good race in a while!" He exclaimed with a large grin across his face. "Besides..beating you is still on my bucket list." He smirked

Volt jumped in his car out of the Poniville tavern dam

"i will show to that idiot that electric cars are the future!"

 

he said stomping a paper with a red "rejected" mark over it

 

"bucking idiot... i will race with my car and i will win and i will prove you that i am not wrong! stupid obtuse pony"

 

he said hitting the accelerator, in less than 2.5 second his Blue Tesla Roadster almost hitted 100 km/h, an electric car has the significant advantage of being lighter and going in couple much before a normal car

 

"and 200 newton for meter is just enough.."

 

he said hitting almost 160 km/h

 

"i heard that there are some nice illegal races at Detroit.. time to earn the payday Volt.."

Nitro saw a Tesla pull up to the bar. Nitro went to greet the pony who was in it. He really wanted to race somepony so this pony who was in the Tesla would be a worthy opponant. "Well, look what we have here. A Tesla, a Tesla that could be worthy against The Great Nitro Spark." Nitro stated.

Volt looked around, he saw many cool looking car, but his attention was dragged by a grey monster over wheels

 

"what in the name of Luna is that?!?"

 

he saw a pony apporaching to him

 

"maybe i can ask this guy.."

 

Volt parked his car and exited

 

"ehm.. good..goodmorning! I am looking to start a race carrer.. they said this is the right place... i never raced with other ponies before.. i am looking to start just now... my main goal is to prove that the world is ready for electric cars... and that they could race like any other sport cars... oh.. my name is Volt, doctor electron Volt.. nice.. nice to meet you.." he said offering an hoof to shake

"Nice to meet ya...Volt. That's a pretty good looking car there, but it could use some mods, if you don't have any on it yet." Nitro stated. "So...you wanna start your racing career eh? Well, first things first...you've gotta get yourself aquainted with the various regions of Detrot. This right here is central Detrot, which is where most of the racers gather. There's a drag race starting in a few minutes. Winner gets 1000 bits. You up for it?" Nitro asked.

"well i didn't mood my car much... i just added  rollbars for safety, replaced glasses with plexiglass, trunk and doors with carbon fiber... i pretty much reduced only the weight... also i replaced the standard ion battery with a lighter one of my invention... i was thinking of a wireless powered system using Tesla coils and stuff but i hadn't the time yet... i still have ideas for other mods but.. no bits left for them eh eh...the car isn't much fast... but i assure you that it has a lot of acceleration... advantages of direct drive, no transmission, electric motors and light weight... so yeah! i think i can join that drag race! i hope it goes well for a first race eheh

"Alright then...good luck." Nitro Spark stated. "I'll be waiting at the finish line." Nitro Spark stated as he went back to his Egoista and gunned the motor. The motor roared loudly, enough to make a pony flinch. He then drove to where the finish line of the race was, and waited for Volt.

he jumped in the car and turned on the main electronic computer unit, he inserted the map for maximum acceleration

 

"let's go!"

 

he followed the monster on well to the finish line, he opened the windows and waved with his hoof

 

"i'm ready!"

Nitro saw Volt as he crossed the finish line. "That was a great race Volt. That thing went pretty fast. Unfortunately, the guy got you by .01 of a second. Don't worry, there will be plenty more opportunes to win bits. Suddenly, Nitro's cell phone rang. "Hang on Volt, gotta take this call....Hello?" Nitro stated. "Yo Nitro, it's me! Thunder Dash!" Nitro stated. "Thunder! What is up dude!" Nitro stated. "Well, I'm coming down to Detrot for a while." Thunder stated. "Really, that's awesome! I can't wait for you to meet my new friend Volt, he's really cool." Nitro stated. "Ok!" Thunder stated. Soon Nitro hung up the phone. "Sorry, that was my friend Thunder Dash. He's coming down soon. He can't wait to meet you." Nitro stated to Volt.

"ah no worries, i saw the problem and i think i can fix it, the rear spoiler was set too high, too much drag, well still a good thing for my first race.. next time i will check better, also i will redo the programm for the ECU, well it was fun! may i ask who is this guy? this Thunderdash? "

"Oh, it's a surprise. He's got something that is just pure epic. Soon, a bright yellow Hennessy Venom GT roared down the streets and pulled a 180 spin and came to a stop. Ponies moved out of the way. A tall yellow pony got out of the car. "Well...it's great to be back here in Detrot." The pegasus said. "Thunder Dash!" Nitro yelled. The pegasus turned around. "Oh Nitro! There you are! How's it going dude?" Thunder asked. "It's going great!" Nitro stated. "By the way, this is Volt, my new friend." Nitro stated.

Volt without stoppoing watching the car got closer to the yellow pony

 

"yeah yeah nice to meet you..... oh my Celestia an other awesome car! looks like i am the only one without much bits around here eh?, oh sorry, i am being diserespectfull"

 

he turned to ThunderDash and shaked his hoof

 

"nice to meet you ThunderDash! i am Volt, Electron Volt, i am new here.. looking to start a fresh racing carrer eh... nice car buddy! I drive that Tesla roadster over there.."

"Well, now that there are the two of us, we can help you with quite a few things." Thunder stated as he gathered some electricity and made a book appear. "First, take a look at this, it's a beginners guide to street racing. Of course, that's not all though. But...we'll help you as much as we can." Nitro stated.

Frost had stopped by the bar to grab a drink. When he walked out he was slightly buzzed, but not enough to stop his driving. He jumped in hus Audi and started driving around. Looking for his friend. He turned up his bass to 11, causing his cars frame to rattle, ponies weren't fond of it, but he liked it. When he saw Nitro he pulled up slowly, waving at the group, he recognized Thunder but there was a pony there he hadn't seen before, but he waved anyway.

"wait wait wait wait  what .. what is that? aren't,. .. aren't you a pegasus?? where that books come from?!?... ow well... this day is getting more interesting each second that passes..."

 

Volt noticed a noise car approaching

 

"uh.. who the hell is that pony above there? he is going to destroy the paviment with that bass cannon eh.."

"Nah, that's just Frost with his usual dubstep...yo Frost! Come and meet and the new rookie!" Nitro called out. "That thing I just did...it's actually an ability of mine. I can wield electricity and convert it to magic, which has served me very well in my racing career. I'll tell you more about it a little later." Thunder stated.

Frost smiled and turned his stereos down as he pulled up to the group. He opened his door and stepped out. "New rookie? You mean this guys is joining the team?! Awesome!" He said as he stuck his hoof oit to the stallion for a shake. "Names Frost Typhoon, but you can call me Frost!" He said with an eager tone.

"electricty? cool! i can just strap you on my trunk and forget about the battery eheh" laughted Volt, he then turned looking at the car approaching

 

"ehm hello... i am Volt, Doctor electron Volt.. ehm yes i ma new around here... nice to meet you.. friend.... eh eh.... so i understand you are a team am i right?"
