(OOC: This is a 1 on 1 RP between Thunder Dash and Raiden NightSong.)

Maya wandered and wandered through the forest. She really didn't know where to go or who she will meet. She just continued to walk with the memory of how she came to being in her mind. She needed someone to guide her, to show her what it's all about.

Meadowlark was in the forest, picking flowers for her garden when she saw a little filly wandering around, she rubs her eyes and blinks for a short while, "This can't be right, a little filly wandering around all by herself without an adult around. Perhaps she is lost" She walks up to the filly with a shy smile and asks her nicely, "Dear, are you lost?"

 

(OOC: Btw nice name for the rp)

Maya turned around and saw the pegasus. She jolted a little and curled up. "D-do-please don't hurt me..." Maya said. She looked at the tall pegasus who towered above her. She was scared. She thought it was going to hurt her, which is why she curled up. She wouldn't uncurl until she knew the pegasus wouldn't do anything bad to her.

Meadowlark knelt down and gently kissed her on the forehead, "it's ok little one, I'm not going to hurt you, I'd never hurt a pony, it just isn't in my nature." She sits down besides the filly and holds her close in her wings, "My name is Meadowlark by the way, what's yours?"

Maya was quivering in Meadow's grip. She looked up at her as a tear cascaded down her eye. "M-M-Maya...Maya Flower...I-I...named myself..." She said still quivering in the pegasus' hold. She was still very scared and tried to keep calm, but it did not work, for she was near crying point.

"Maya, that's a lovely name, and it suits you, because it's pretty, just like you." She gently strokes Maya's mane, trying her best to soothe her, "Where are your parents sweety? Do they know you are out here all by yourself?" She asks with concern in her voice, she did not like the thought that Maya was allowed to wander around the forest all by herself at this age, she will have to have a talk to her parents about it.

"I-I-I don't have...any parents...i-in fact...I wasn't even...born the normal way..." Maya stated as she started to calm down and slowly melted into Meadow's warm embrace. She wanted to tell the truth, but she was a little afraid that Meadow might think she's a monster.

Meadowlark frowned, "Oh dear, that isn't good, where have you been living?" She asks, the concern still in her voice, yet her voice was gentle and kind, she looked down at Maya, she was shivering, and even though it wasn't that cold, she could tell Maya was shivering out of both being frightened and from being cold. She unwrapped her favorite scarf from around her neck and gently wrapped it around Maya's.

"F-f-follow me..." Melody stated hopping off Meadow's lap. She was going to take her back to the place where she was born in that forest. She waited for Meadow to get up. "I really hope this pegasus doesn't become mean to me...after I tell my story..." Maya thought to herself.

Meadowlark got up and followed Maya to the spot, she could tell she was still frightened, "poor dear, all alone with nopony to look after her, to raise her and to love her. Well, I guess I'm going to have to fix that, won't I?" She thinks to herself, "My house is certainly big enough, and it would be nice to have some company around."

Soon, they arrived at a very large flower. Maya then turned to Meadow. "T-this is where...I was...born. I-I...I...am actually half plant..." Maya stated still a little nervous about continuing to tell her story. She was even more afraid now that she disclosed she wasn't a pure pony.

Meadowlark smiled at her, "Well no wonder you are so beautiful and pretty." She leans down and kisses her on the cheek, "Honey, I don't mind that you're not a 'pure' pony, all that matters is you are you, besides, being 'pure' is overrated, Ill let you in on a secret dear, this is something that nopony else knows, I am not a 'pure' pony either."

"Y-y-you aren't?" Maya asked looking up in surprise. She now had somepony to relate to, since they were both the same. She started to uncurl. "Wow. So I'm not alone. I thought I was the only pony mixed with something else..." Maya thought to herself as she pawed at the ground.

Meadowlark sighed a little, "I'm not dear, you see... I'm what you would call a half-breed. I'm actually half Pegasi and half Changeling. My mother was the Pegasus and my father the Changeling. This actually isn't my true form, as you can probably tell, I have the form of a Changeling, but...as most ponies are still frightened and ignorant after Queen Chryaslis and her hive attacked Canterlot, I decided it would be best to stick to my pony form. But don't worry, being half pony, means I don't have to feed off of other's emotions and feelings to survive."

Maya was surprised and a little scared too. "P-please don't...turn into your t-true self..." Maya said quivering. Now that she learned the truth, this made her a little afraid, that if something happened, Meadow might become evil and try to hurt her as much as she could.

"Oh dear, I'd never do that, especially around little ones, besides like I said before, it isn't in my nature to hurt other ponies.. though my father is a Changeling, he is actually quite a sweet, kind and caring stallion. My parents raised me to be kind to all living creatures, be it pony, half breed, animal or plant." She nuzzles Maya, "do you like living here?"

"Yes...I do..." Maya stated. "H-how were you...born?" Maya asked. Now that Meadow assured she wouldn't hurt Maya, Maya wanted to know more about Meadowlark. After that, she would share her story, which now...she couldn't wait to tell, for it was one of the strangest stories.

Meadowlark chuckled, "Oh you know, the 'usual' way. My mother and father made love, i was concieved, my mother carried me in her belly for 9 months then I was born." She thinks for a moment, "Maya, dear. I know you said you like living here, but.. would you like to come live with me? You need somepony to care for and love you."

"I-I...I would but...wh-what would others think of me?" Maya asked frightened. She was slowly starting to trust Meadowlark. But the fact that when she will come to live with her, means that other ponies might look at her as "weird" and because of that, they may pick and tease her.

Meadowlark pulls her in closer with a wing and nuzzles her, "Dear, it matters not what others think of you, but what you think of yourself. Though I think you're a very sweet and cute little filly. Half-breed or not, You will get teased at school, but I do believe there are three other little fillies who would love to be your friends, and if anypony dares to pick on you at school, I will have a serious talk with their parents." She nuzzles her again.

Maya sort of smiled at this. "I-I still want to tell you how I came into being..." She said to Meadowlark as she looked up at her. She wondered who those three fillies Meadow was talking about her, if they were anything like her. She started to quiver a little.

Meadowlark smiled, "Of course dear, I would absolutely love to hear about how you became into being, and those three fillies I were telling you about. Well they're just average little fillies,  two of which are sisters of two of the mane six, they get teased because neither of them have their cutie marks yet, but they don't let it get to them." She gives Maya a kiss on the cheek, "Now, let's hear about how you came into being, then I shall help you get your things and take you home."

"Well...I...started out...as a tiny little seed. This sage, who used to live in this...forest was trying to plant a flower that would blossom into anything he pleases...so...when he planted that seed, he tried to quicken the growth by um...pouring a mix of potions on it...but...they didn't work. So...he just...abandoned the seed, left it there just to rot...soon...a day came when there was heavy rain. The potions reacted to the water and thus a large flower grew. Soon, the flower blossomed and...there I was." Maya explained. "I actually sleep in the same flower I blossomed from. This one here..." Maya added pointing her little hoof to the big flower.

Meadowlark snuggles her closer, she didn't quite know what to say but felt she should say something, "that's a lovely story, much more lovelier than mine." She didn't wan to rush things, so she just snuggled Maya close to her for a while, gently pressing her close to where her heart is, so that she could hear and feel the beating of her heart, hoping it would soothe her.

Maya slowly started to uncurl as she felt the warm embrace of Meadowlark. "Y-you-you're so...warm and fuzzy..." She said burrowing herself onto Meadows fur. She felt so warm and comfy, that she soon drifted off into a deep deep sleep. She snuggled in deeper into Meadow's fur.
