Should the story of Equestira Girls be different?

Okay, so you bronies and pegasisters have seen the movie Equestria Girls right?

Am I the only one who thought that the movie had some holes in it?

Like in one part when Twilight met Pinkie she said "Do you have a twin sister that has a dog that looks exactly like that one?" So, when Twilight went into the Alternative universe there was a human clone of Twilight what? And they never made the other Twilight's appearance..where was she? It's like they just mentioned it one scene and then just bailed it! It was pointless to put it there...and when Sunset Shimmer went into the human universe wouldn't she have a human clone as well?

 

I think if they took more time into making the movie it would be better. Or maybe if the story was written differently like Twilight goes to the human universe and she finds people like her friends in ponyville, she ends up friendnig them and every week she goes to visit them and writes to the Princess about the humans and how they are a lot like the ponies in ponyville, some are nice and some are mean BOOM a spinoff! 

 

I am not not saying I didn't like Equestria Girls, I actually quite enjoyed it and I can most certainly watch it again. I just think if the story changed a little it  or wouldn't have holes in it

The movie had some holes in it, but even if you change the story the movie will still have some holes in it so the purpose of changing the plot would just be pointless.

I basically agree with this.

 

I liked the film, and for the films main premise there is not much else they could have done ! 

 

All I would change is maybe not reinforcing snips and snails being evil henchmen all the time, I feel like they are being a little buit ruined by it.

I agree too. If I was to change the story of the movie, I would exclude Snips and Snails also give time for Twilight and Flash Sentry's relationship to develop the right way instead of having it be an awkward one.

I totally agree, everything is far too convenient, but it always will be with stuff like this. If someone you knew turned up as though they had never met you (or at least this incarnation of you) before, your first thought probably wouldn't jump to identical twins.

 

I suppose the quasi-whimsical happenings in the show are acceptable because they take place in a magical ponyverse, but when it comes to a world deliberately engineered to mimic our own, familiarity makes us notice quirks and abnormalities more easily.

 

I always wished that sunset shimmer took her henchponies back through the portal and there was a story continuation in that direction but, once again, as is so common in the series, the ending tied up far too quickly. 

 

I think you're right, it was probably quite rushed because of the hasbro execs on the writer's backs, plus I guess it would be difficult for the single writer Meghan McCarthy to get it perfect with deadlines etc.

I always thought of Twilight's human self in that world as the Twilight that never came to Ponyville, perhaps as a result of meddling from Sunset Shimmer. Perhaps Human Twilight was the girl that Sunset Shimmer competed against for the spring fling? Fluttershy just refers to her as a girl, not by name, so I always assumed it was Other Twilight who moved there but was instantly humiliated into leaving town... or Trixie, since Trixie seems to not have any friends at all in the movie.

 

I also felt that the other Twilight left it open for a sequel, since Equestrian Twilight would be unable to return to the human world for some time, and thus Human Twilight could move into town and to the school without removing Twilight from the cast of human characters.

The Human Twilight wasn't a plot hole. I've always surmised that the human world is a few years behind Equestria and Human Twilight just hasn't meet the Human mane 5 yet. One day she will if you believe the two worlds are connected.

If theres going to be another EG Hasbro should make a different plot. Maybe if the human mane 6 goes to equestria and the pony mane 6 goes to the human world. Theyll struggle into their new surroundings and i think seeing rarity panic and over react will be hilarious XD

When I think of another movie I can't help but feel it would be about them going, conveniently, to college together. That could be where they meet human Twilight. I'm not even convinced they would involve the ponies, but it's likely they'd want to if possible.
