As Seth continued to moan within his cell, he heard the door open. The wolf looked up to see a grim looking Shining Armor. Seth stared at him with neutral eyes, not sure what to expect. After several seconds of silence, the prince spoke. 

 

"Did you mean what you said?"

 

"What?" Seth asked, slightly confused by the question.

 

"Did you mean what you said, in the throne room? About..."

 

"No...That was Lust..." Seth said, looking to the floor. "He was giving himself justification for the kill. He would have killed you anyway in retrospect, but he also wanted to see if it would break you and Cadence's trust after what you have done."

 

"Oh..." Shining said, looking away from Seth. "I...I am sorry fo-"

 

"That doesn't mean I don't have my own feelings about you for that day." Seth interrupted, suddenly looking up at Shining. "You killed my brother. However, you did it in protection of your sister. I still have resentment for you because of that, but it is lessened overall. I just hope we can move past it."

 

"...Thank you." Shining replied after some time. "I'm sorry about the cage, I just felt it necessary, knowing your strength."

 

"None taken. But can you answer me three questions?" Shining nodded. "How's Bliss?"

 

"She's fine, just shaken up about everything." Shining reassured.

 

"When this is over, can you get her home? She is in need of her loved one."

 

Again, Shining nodded. "And the last thing?"

 

"What do you plan on for me?"

*A tap on her door, followed by * Blissy? I'm coming in, *caught her large ears to perk up, just as Cadence came walking in, levitating the door behind her shut* I'll be fine soldier, wait out here, *she smiled to the guard. He nodded and left her side*

 

Princess Memioria? I'm sorry for everything... I never dreamed of when I'd finally meet you it would be under such dire circumstances... *she sat up on the bed, trying to look persentable*

 

Bliss, it's fine really, relax, I'm just here to talk *she gave her a gentle reassuring smile and approached, sitting on the edge of the bed with the relunctant white alicorn* And please call me Cadence.

 

*She sighed and nodded, trying to loosen up her already nervous body*

 

It's not the first time I've been faced with problems as dark as these. I remember before I became the Princess of the Crystal Empire, it involved my sister in law Twilight Sparkle, her friends, and my husband, to fight against the evil forces of King Sombra. So trust me when I say, that i've been through worse.

 

I understand... even I can agree that I've been through worse then this...but *she looked into her pink eyes,* this situations involves not only my life, but Seth's...I need your help Prince- I mean Cadence...

 

*She placed a hoof on Blissy's and nodded* Go ahead, I'll do what ever I can to help. What is it that you need?

 

Are you sure Cadence...? Because what I may ask of you...goes against everything moral you might-

 

*She touched her horn against Blissy's, keeping her eyes locked on hers* I will help you in everyway... that I can...

 

Ok... *gulps* I'm infected with the Vampire Disease...as you know. What you don't know is that Seth... Lust, Seth's evil self, is my maker.... He made me the way I am because I was dying of a fatal disease back at a winter cottage outside of Ponyville...It was the only way...and I don't blame him. But I know now that we both need to be cured...And the only way... to do that is to...destroy the father vampire...which is Lust.

 

You mean...we have to kill Seth??!! *her eyes went wide with shock*

 

In a sense yes...but without killing Seth. Please just hear me out...

 

*In the quiet of their room, Bliss laid down the plan to Cadence, going down to the dungon, and taking every precaution on how to go about the plan to end Lust's evil terrorany*

Shining looked away from Seth's pleading eyes, knowing he wasn't able to satisfy their need for the right answer. "I...don't know what the plan is. Cadence is with Lightning truing to calm her. She is taking the situation a bit hard. I also messaged my sister to see if she has anything on vamponies. So far..."

 

Seth looked down to the floor, knowing the answer. "I figured as much."

 

"Do you mind if I ask you a question?" Shining asked.

 

"Do I have a choice?" Seth joked, trying to lighten up the mood.

 

"Well, why did you come here of all places when you and Bliss were infected?" He asked.

 

"Well, the truth is...I wanted to save her. The only way to save her... is sacrificing myself"

 

"Seth? Why?" Shining demanded.

 

"I hold Bliss as her master. If I were to die, she would be free of my hold." The wolf replied. "I just hope she accepts that one day."

*She nodded reluctantly* I understand...no remorse...no mercy...we push Seth untill...

 

Until the evil shows his face... *She placed her hoof on him* I will need your help when that evil finally emerges... he has a will over me...he'll say things to throw me off, maybe me order myself to attack you... without your help I'm not sure I can't fight it.

 

We will do it together... *she took a deep breath, then unchained her hoof* Im ready... are you?

 

Ready as I'll ever be... *she stood up and followed Cadence out the door*

 

Guards! *Cadence called* Take us to the dungeon...we have business to do. *The followed the guards down, eyes narroed, hooves clopping the floor firmly, revenge in their eyes...*

"I really hope that another solution presents it's self before you would take that choice." Shining said. "You ended a war that should not have started, I wish I could learn a lesson from you on that." 

 

Seth gave the unicorn a small smile at the compliment. "The one thing I ask it that you take care of Twilight. She is a wonderful mare and a loyal friend. That's the first step to being a diplomat: keep the people you represent close, but keep your family closer."

 

A sudden knock on the door to the cell caught both of their attention.

 

"Prince armor," A guard called from the other side. "Your presence is requested. It is a message from Princess Sparkle."

 

Shining looked to Seth. Seth gave him a smile. "Got see what it is. It might just keep me alive. It's not like I'm going anywhere."

 

Shining knocked on the door. It opened as he departed from the cell. After he left, the door closed and sealed once again. As the time passed, Seth looked into the reflection in the water. After what felt like fifteen minutes, the door reopened.

 

"Good to have you-" Seth looked up, expecting Shining, only to see Cadence and Bliss. "I was expecting Shining, but it's even better to see you Bliss. How are you?" he asked as he remained chained to the walls.

DIDN'T YOU SETH! *She yelled into his face, showing her fangs* You knew I was married...and an alicorn... you couldn't keep your eyes off me COULD YOU! *she bit his ear hard, drawing blood but she took care to let it fall to the ground* I don't want your filthy blood in my mouth...

 

We know now that the only way to rid this pure, poor little mare, of your evil light... is to destroy you... I'm merely here to watch as she takes her revenge. *The princess stood fast, and watched*

 

You always wanted me to yourself, Lust knew that from the start, here merely acted upon those feelings of yours...thats why you took advantage of me while I was sick... A noble wolf would have left me to die... but your not a noble... your a rogue, writhraff...outcast with no home...But you saw me and you saw an opprotunity to fill that lonely void in your evil heart... You turned me into this because you wanted me all for yourself! You tried to take me away from my family and FRIENDS, MY HUSBAND NIGHT LIGHTS!!! *She kicked him in the face, forcing more blood from his nose* Oh So sorry... did I hurt you? Pathetic... no wonder Lust took you over so easily...Then again... he's not here now... I wonder who's weaker of the two Cadence? *She winked at her*

 

Not sure... But I'm guess Seth is at the moment *she giggled back*

 

Hmmm... I'm willing to bet on that... *She looked into Seth's eyes then* Come on Lust... you weak? Or is Seth weaker... Come on Master... can't control your little alicorn minion? I'm about end it for the both of you...and YOU DONT EVEN HAVE THE NERVE TO SHOW YOUR FACE TO US! *she raised her hooves up and stamped on his paws for good measure, and waited for his response*

Seth cringed at the physical attacks, but the mental attacks were worse. He looked into Bliss's eyes, blood poring over one of his.

 

"B...Bliss? I... I never wanted this to happen. I didn't want you to die. Please Bliss... please. I'm sorry" He began to cry, tears mixing with the blood. With his sprites killed, his energy drained with it. He laid his head on the cell floor, his fur laying in the blood pool from his mouth and ear. "...Please...Bliss..."

 

His head began to cloud as he slipped into his mind.

---Mind of Seth---

 

There were two wolves, one standing over another again. However, this time it was Lust over Seth.

 

"Wow... I didn't see that coming." Lust said trotting around Seth. "I was beginning to think you had won. Boy was I wrong." He said, stopping and kicking Seth hard in the rib cage. "Now... it's my turn. They requested me, now time for a show."

Seth's head raised from the blood, except his eyes were Green. He began to chuckle. It slowly turned to a evil laugh. "Well... you have me Blight, now I make my request. Give yourself to me and take this pathetic excuse of a princess out for good. You already did worse to Seth." He said. "You still owe me for the first time you failed me. If you succeed in this... I might be mersifle."

*Candence reared up as well and aimed along with her, both of them charging at the chest of chained wolf*

 

*They both hit their marks, their horns glowing within the evil vampire's body as Lightning Bliss began to cry* I'm so sorry Seth...I had to draw out Lust...and the only way to do it was to lower your...defensees... *cries louder as both the alicorn of love along with the alicorn of peace concentrated, diving their minds into the wolf's mind...readying themselves for a battle of unknown...One thing was for sure...they were either going to destroy Lust...or die trying*

Where are we? *she asked curiously at the artic terrain, taking a few steps on the snow.* It's snow...? But I don't feel cold.

 

We must be in Seth's mind... its the reasonable explanation, which mean my magic along with yours must be working, and- *She stopped suddely, spotting the body of Seth. She galloped to it fast as she could, skidding to a stop and laying next to him* Seth? SETH WAKE UP, ITS ME!!! I... *she saw his eyes were full of sadness and despair...making her realize just how evil she really had to become.*

 

I'm impressed...*Blight spoke sluggishly from her still sedated caged bubble* You...tapped into my powers...to bring out that anger...you...Misses Peaceful...So proud of you...

 

*She ignored Blight, inspite it was true* Seth...what I said to you...*sobs* It...it was a ruse...I had to say those horrible things...to lower your guard down...it was the only way...I don't want to lose you to this disease...and I'm intent on destroying it...but not by destroying you along with it my friend... *she lapped at his face, being passionate and truthful in her words* Please Seth...me and Cadence are here to help you...but you got to help us too...Please..

*She looked up to see at Cadence direction. There...in a setting sun horizon...was the dark black wolf...his eyes glowing red and green...fangs out...angery...and confident*

 

Right.... *She stood up, before giving Seth a peck on the cheek, to prove her motives, then turned to face the evil force* Cadence... you got me into his mind...you should leave now. You don't need to risk yourself getting hurt.

 

No Lightning Bliss *she stood next to the smaller alicorn's side* We are in this together. I'm with you!

 

*She smiled, another tear dripped down her face, then turned back to Lust* LUST!!! Your reight of evil over MY FRIEND SETH AND ME, IS OVER!!! THIS MADNESS WILL END WITH YOU DEAD!

@@Lightning Bliss, @@Lightning Bliss, As the dark wolf approached, the sun set on their surroundings. All that could be seen was the green eyes of Lust. Knowing he was hidden, he began to laugh in his maniacal way.

 

"Bliss... Nice to see you here. Or, should I call you Blight after that little performance with Seth earlier? That was something else, I must tell you. He was willing to sacrifice his own life for you just to end all of this, and what do you do? You walk through that cell door and break that poor wolf's soul. It was quite touching to here what he said about you when he was trapped in here through this adventure. He kept saying how you husband... whats his name, was probably the luckiest dragon in the world. How you were more loyal then most wolves.

 

"Then you come along, right to the point where he literally was going to give his life to you, and you punch the romantic in the face. You ponies have been saying that Blight and I are the embodiment of the devil. But you, miss Bliss, you are truly evil."

 

At that moment, his green eyes blew away like they were bust in the wind. When they were gone, there was no light.

(My OC figured, in order to bring out the evil for her to face, she had to be cruel to Seth...its something she never wanted to do, but did it so she could save your OC...by becoming a bigger evil)

 

*Her legs buckled at what Lust said...she then turned to Seth...knowing what she did...*

 

It was the only way to make you show your ugly face... *she yelled back to Lust, turning to face him again* It was YOU who brought out that evil in me... NOT SETH! So SHUT UP AND FIGHT ME! *snorts*

 

Bliss... *Cadence tried to assure her*

 

No Cadence... He's right... What I said was evil...the most evil i could speak to any being... But the only way to fight evil... is to let out a bigger evil... I realize that now... I only pray in my heart...when this is all over... Seth will be able to forgive me... *She started to sob*

 

I'm sure he will Bliss... remember you did this so you could save him...

 

SHUT UP CADENCE... *she blurted* I was evil to him!! JUST SO I COULD SAVE HIM!!! AND I WONT FAIL!!! *She ran up to Lust...stopping just ten feet away from him* Fight me coward if you dare...Or are you afraid to face an even bigger evil then yourself!

At that moment, Seth disappeared from sight. After a second, a light appeared. What it revealed was two bound and gauged beings. Seth and Night Lights (pony version). Lust was standing over both of them. Each had pleading eyes towards the two princesses.

 

"You came to my mind Bliss, my homefield." Lust scoffed, placing a paw on Night's head. "Now, which of these two are you willing to save? If you attack, I'll probably lose, but be able to take out at lease one of these two. Your pick. Do you save the love of your life, or the one who saved your life? The choice is yours."

*Feels her fangs push forward* I either...attack...and risk killing two beings I love...or... I attack you...and I can't even decide... *she fell to her side and curled up in a ball* Show me what to do...somepony...show me what to do...

*Flashes came over her mind as Seth gloated of his plans...Flashes of her friends and family...Flashes of Seth and that silly moment of his face when he was found adrift in the air when she carried him. That touching moment when he supported her when she came down from the cold...Then her husband...his trusting eyes and gentle nature, that he was so proud and confidnet in her...no matter what she did...*

 

No... *She rose her head up to Seth then, dusting her shoulder off as Cadence came up next to her*

I'm fine... I'm just realizing something. *She took a step forward to Seth* You're right Lust... I do have poltential for a great evil things... I do hold it back alot, and there are those who would say its a hidden nature. But I've come to realize something... *She smiled just as Blight suddenly reappeared not by her choosing*

But you see... Just I choosed to use my dark nature to bring you out of hiding...so do I choose not to use it. That evil is a part of me... *suddenly Blight began to turn into mist, and flow into Blissy's form*

 

NO NO NO!!! I DONT WANT TO GO BACK!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....*fades into Blissy's being*

 

Yes... Blight is me...her dark impulses are my own... Just as you are Seth's evil personality and choices... But just like all of us who have dark personalites...its the choices we make...and who we choose to be...is what makes us good or evil... *takes another step forward, her horn glowing brightly...* I choose...*her horn suddenly erupted the entire terrain, making Cadence shield her eyes as well as the two beings underneath Lust...Then in the bright rainbow light, magical tendriols grabbed hold of Lust, holding him firmly in place so that she could fly up to him* To be good...Good bye Lust...

 

*She thrusted her horn into Lust's chest...the magic erupting within him...till he became a dark black shadow...forcing him to perish back to where he rightfully belongs...to Seth...the real master of this realm. As the shadow returned to Seth's mind...the disease of the vampire evaporated away*

 

*Her fangs finally vanished...the green tint in her eyes gone...the hunger pains forever gone...and Lust...fianlly back in the quiet depths of Seth's personality*

 

-- Outside in the real world --

 

*Both the mares woke up on the floor next to Seth's body, and looked at each other for a moment*

 

What did you do Blissy?

 

I...I ...I think I banished the vampire disease...if it truely worked... Seth should wake up, no longer a vampire

At first there was bliss, then came a subtle pain. As the pain grew, Seth slowly opened his eyes to see he was back in his cell. His head was in a puddle of his own blood. He slowly looked around the cell to see Cadence and Bliss looking over him. The pain increased as he realized what it was. He looked to his chest to see a large gash near his heart. It was already being healed, but he was bleeding quite bad. He turned back to Bliss.

 

"B...Bliss... is that... you?" he asked in a weak voice.

He smiled at the alicorn looking of him. It felt great to finally be over the curse that pledged his body for so long. "Thank you... for everything." He said as Bliss came close to him. "you have already done more than I can ever ask of you, Bliss. I can take a little flesh wound." He said with a bit of a smile. "Although... maybe getting out of the chains would be a reasonable request."

Of course my friends, *she smiled and headed for the door when she heard a familiar stomach growling sound* Um... Blissy? *She stopped and looked at the mare worryingly* You're...not hungry for blood are you?

 

Actually... I'm STARVING for some potato salad...or some apple pie, or green bean cassorole or or-

 

Oh good *she giggled* I bet your both faminshed for your deal. I say it wouldn't hurt to have a royal feast for you both. It is worth celebrating after all, getting over your illness... But first things first, the chains...and a doctor for Seth *she winked to them both and galloped off, calling the guards to their aid*

 

*Smiled as cadence left, and one of the guards unchained Seth* Seth... what I said before... I never really meant it... I'm... what i said was horrible, whether I meant it or not and... I know you don't have to forgive me...I just wanted you...to live your life the way you deserve it... *sniffs*

As Seth recoiled his sour limbs, he looked into the eyes of the sniffling mare. "I can't lie... what you said did hurt. But that should say something. I wouldn't let it hurt me unless I didn't care about you." He said, giving a caring smile to the mare. "You are a great mare. From what I can tell, you have been through a troubling life, but you always over come it. I thank you for solving this challenge with me and in return..." He said as he bowed before the princess. "I am in your debt, as you have same my life, I would easily do the same for you no matter what the cause." As he stands he looked at her with a joking smile "And don't be humble and deny it, wolves are a suborn race."

 

A pair of guard appear at the end of the cell door, a medic fallowed shortly. He enters the room and toke one look at the wound, then turns to Seth. "How in Celestia are you standing?" 

 

Seth gave a slight chuckle. "Doc, through all that Bliss and I have been through, I shouldn't technically be alive." The doctor shrugged as he forced Seth to sit as he works on his chest.

"Well Lightning, you can finally return to your awaiting husband. No fear of biting him in his sleep." He joked.

*She grinned happily thinking about Night Lights*

 

You know, I could send him a message! He's probably worried sick where I am, I was supposed to be back home today. He'll probably be pacing our cave entrance right now wondering where my gryphon escort is. They were supposed to take me home. *Giggles* what a surprise he'll get when he gets a magic scroll stating that I'm at the Crystal Empire, come pick me up!

 

*She let out a hystical laugh, like she hadn't laughed for ages* I'm going to get started on that note right now!

 

*After the doctor finished patching Seth up with bandage gauz and a tapern to hide it, Shining Armor and Cadence approached with guard escort smiling to them both*

 

As rulers of the Crystal Empire *Cadence proclaimed* We hummbly insist you both attend with us for lunch. We've gathered all the avaliable appetizers and plates for you both to try.

 

I've even took the liberty for the cooks to make you some fish and rabbit stew Seth *Armor smiled to his friend* It's the least we can do for you both after your ordeal.

 

*She smiled to the Empire rulers then turned to Seth* Shall we? After we're done eating and I send the note to Night Lights. He could take you back to wherever you like to be before taking me home if you like?

Seth's mind slipped at the sound of meat. He hadn't eaten since day one. Rabbit was always nice, and fish prepared well was brilliant. 

 

After a second realizing he had zoned out, he looked to Bliss to answer her question. "I would take you up on your offer if I knew you were not missing your husband to the extent you are. I can walk myself home on this one, you be with your husband and enjoy the time you have together. I would hate to disrupt such a thing." He said as he stood up and walked for the door. "However, I will take up the request of escorting you to lunch."

 

The two of them along with the prince and princess walked out of the under ground cells to the royal dining hall where a a vast table of food was waiting for them.

 

"Well... I must say this is better than any spread from a diplomatic conference." Seth joked. It might have not have been humerus, but it had some truth to it. The guards showed the two to their seats at the head of the table. Seth sat down and waited for Lightning Bliss to sit before he began to feast. Troth be told, he was trying to hold himself back from stuffing his face until he had digested food poring out his wounds.

*She grinned at his polietness and sat down quickly, just as eagered to get some real food down her stomach.* Go ahead Seth, I don't mind *she grinned and levitated the nearest bowl of greenbean cassorle to her spot*

 

Oh Princess Cadence? *She asked Cadence eagerly* May I have a quill and parchment? I must make haste to write to my husband Night Lights, he may be worried for me*

 

*She nodded and teleported a pink quill and light brown parchment in front of Bliss and watched as the white alicorn wrote quickly levitating the quill with her magic while eating at the same time*

 

*Once she was done writing and was able to pull her snout away from her plate. She focused her magic, using that transmission spell to send the letter to her cave where Night Lights is*

 

There... he should get that now. And knowing his flying and ability to shape shift, he'll probably turn into the fastest being that flies and make it here within a few hours. And please Seth, I insist, me and Nights will take you anywhere you need to be. it won't disrupt us in the slightest.

As Seth began to feast on some freshly roasted rabbit, memories of his dining back in the empire returned with greatness. It tasted just as he loved. A thick gravy was poured over the lovely meat, only adding to the taste. After finishing the second rabbit, he turned to Bliss while wiping his mow on a napkin.

 

"That's a bit of a show off move what you did with the paper there." He said with a smile. "As for the ride, I would like to meet you husband, but I wish not for there to be any doubt in his mind about your loyalty to him with my presence. I would hate to ruin such a bound you have with him." Seth said with a warm smile.

 

Seth then took a sip of the drink that was provided, which happened to be a well aged wine. It was rather good choice for the meal he had been given. Seth then turned to the princess and prince. "I must thank you for helping Bliss and myself with what just happened. I truly find it honorable of you to help even after we nearly killed you both." He said.

*Grins at him as he speaks to Cadence and Armor while enjoying a heaping bowl of cheese potato soup. She felt the warm brew run down her throat, and the savory sweet and salty potatoes as she lightly smashed them between her molars... The cheese just pushed it over the top for her.*

 

I admit that spell can be a bit of a show off *she remaked what he said after sending the letter* But it was a given to have according to Princess Celestia. It was really the only magic spell she taught me since she said that my duties require travel, so do that rulers need to have some way of contacting me if I'm not at home or I'm at another meeting. But of course I abuse this spell too, even my mother can use it simply by writing the secret magic password on the scroll, then burn it, and it will be immediatly sent to me through my horn. Kinda like air mail litterally. But it does wonders for sending it to my husband. I should have done it from my gryphon soliders...but I was too weak to perform spells.

Seth was laughing at what Bliss was saying and was going to say a pun about non magic using ponies, but realized something. Looking around the room, he said. "This might sound a bit racist... I'm not sure... But I just realized that I am the only one here who can't use magic. Also, I'm the only one who isn't royalty. And I'm... not a pony... Wow, I stick out like a sour paw." Seth said, feeling a bit out of his norm.

 

He returned to a bowl of soup that was calling his name. He felt a bit off eating so many animal foods in front of equines, but... it was so delicious.
