Sebastian shrugged. ^No idea. They haven't bothered me much until now and if I have, I've sent them packing. I destroyed the old base, they've moved on. I can easily track them, if you wanna come. They're not overly strong separately, but together I'd need a backup, especially with the medic one still around.^

Shadow teleported on top of the nearest building. And laid down on the top of it, staring up at the stars, Waiting for someone to take him out of this place.

Sebastian nodded. ^Well, we'll do it another day. I'm not exactly in the mood to watch anyone else die right now, evil as they may be.^

Sam was about to follow Shadow, but decided against it, he clearly wanted to be left alone. She would just have to go find someone else to visit.

After a minute or so she managed to find Rain. Sam poked he in the back.

 

"Miss?" She called.

Rain looked at the little girl.

"Hey," she said kindly. "Who're you?"

She cocked her head and smiled.

 

"Hello," Sam started. "I'm Samantha Davis, but you can call me Sam."

 

Her smile faded.

 

"Why are you so sad miss?"

"Oh, no reason," she said with a smile. "You have a nice name."

[Victoria and Co. 782]

"Thank you but please, tell me."

 

Sam suddenly looked irritated. She stomped her foot in frustration.

 

"It's because I'm only seven isn't it?"

I wonder what happened to her, dying so young...

"It's just something stupid. Something I shouldn't even be upset about. It's nothing."

The answer calmed Sam down a bit.

 

"I'm sorry for the outburst," she started. "It's just I hate it when people think I'm too young to understand. They think that since I died so young I have no life expirence..."

 

Sam stopped for a minute.

 

"C'est vraiment ennuyeux, je sais plus que la plupart des gens qui viennent ici, et ils me traitent comme un gamin!"

 

(She can speak French now)

"Well I'm sure your very smart." Rain paused and then blinked awkwardly as she started talking in a random language she didn't know. "I uh...can't understand you."

(I know limited French, so I used my friends and Google translate to fill in tha gaps yes.)

 

Sam giggled.

 

"I said 'It's really annoying, I know more than most people who come here, and they treat me like a little kid!' In French of course."

Shadow teleported own from the roof. He saw Sam talking to Rain he paused for a moment and began to walk off. "That guy better have a legit reason for me being here." he thought

Sam continued giggling.

 

"No silly," she managed through her giggles. "It's a language, a way of speaking. Have you never- oh that's right, your a pony too. Just like Mister Shadow!"

(Yeah, since I'm in Canada I'm a French nerd, I was kind of confused by the literal translation XD)

 

Rain started then stared at her. "You shouldn't be hanging around people like Shadow, Sam," she said sharply. Dammit, he should know better!

*She asked with a hint of pity in her voice.*

(Yeah, I expected it to be off, I only went with French because my friend said he wanted to give it a shot. All I can say is 'Do you speak English?' 'Do you know where x is?' and 'Have you seen x?')

 

Sam giggles burst into laughter.

 

"Oh miss, you wouldn't like half the people I hang out with! But like my dad says, knowledge is worth risk!"

 

Suddenly Sam cheered.

 

"Speaking of daddy, he's on his way back to the city! I'm so excited, I've really missed him!"
