Shadow sighed "You okay Rain?" he asked concerned.

"What'd I miss?" Plague said through a mirror reflecting the room's twisted version.

 

(I always have to include a fricking mirror everytime I'm gone...)

Sam rubbed her eyes as she walked into view.

 

"Hello everyone," she said through a yawn. "I fell asleep and Daddy put me to bed. Oh, Mister Shadow, are you feeling better?"

"I guess so" he said with a shrug.

Sam smiled.

 

"You responded to Mister Shadow this time!" she cheered. "That's good."

 

She yawned again and sat down, before long her head had rolled to one side and she was asleep again.

Shadow looked at Rain who appeared to be asleep. She looked like she was in pain, it made him sad. Sure, he was a vampire, a few broken bones wouldn't matter to him, but Rain was alive. He walked over and laid down next to her and tried to fall asleep.

Rain stirred a little when she felt someone lie down next to her. She smiled a little in her sleep and cuddled into Shadow, thinking that it was Sebastian as she leaned her head on his shoulder.

Shadow could feel that Rain was not thinking of him, he decided to enjoy the moment while it lasted. He was actually able to fall into a half sleep.

Dakota reached upstairs and locked the doors. "That was interesting." Dakota said to Stitches. Stitches had a rather bored look as he experimented with random things.

Sebastian walked around outside, bored. There was nothing to do and he was sure Rain and Shadow were just working things out right now.

I wonder if now's a good time to go back...

Deciding he had nothing to do, he went to the apartment and opened the door. Seeing Rain asleep on Shadow with a smile, he felt his own disappear and he slammed the door.

The loud noise woke Rain up with a jolt. She muttered dreamily and lay her head back down on Sebastian's shoulder, only to find herself staring at Shadow. She instantly blushed.

"Omigosh, I'm sorry, did I fall asleep on you?" She facepalmed. "Gah, I'm an idiot!"

Shadow was awoken too. "Well that lasted...." he thought sarcastically. "It's alright, probably my fault anyway...." he said

[Victoria and Co. 782]

Sam sat up straight and squeaked in startled surprise. Upon seeing that the loud noise had only been the door slamming she began to calm down.

"I'm so sorry!" panicked Rain, shuffling back a little bit and wincing as she turned one her arms the wrong way. "*hit! This must be so awkward for you, I am so so so sorry!"

Shadow teleported out of the bed "Nah it's quite alright....". He scratched his head. "Probably should go talk to him..." he thought as he teleported out of the room and then to Seb. "What was all that about?" he asked

^it's nothing,^ said Sebastian angrily. ^Just the fact that you were, oh I don't know, sleeping with her.^ He glared at Shadow. ^You're taking advantage of the fact that she's not in the best shape right now.^

"I've known her for years....just because she likes you doesn't mean i can't sleep next to her..." he said "Besides....the whole time she was thinking of you...."

Sebastian rolled his eyes. ^Oh, sure. She was asleep, she probably just thought it was me. That doesn't really constitute it as 'thinking' about me.^ He then raised an eyebrow. ^You don't think sleeping next to her is abnormal? I mean, I saw how she was on top of you, you didn't seem to be objecting.^

"I was asleep, well, 'half asleep' Not like i could immediately teleport away because the girl i like touched me." he said. "Besides, not my fault she decided to do something subconsciously." he said "What if you were there and i saw you two?" he then asked.

Shadow almost laughed. "Why? because she touched me while she was sleeping?' he said "All i'm trying to do is make the last few times with her last...." he said his tone turning more serious.

"I've already come to terms that she will pick you over me as long as i don't say anything i shouldn't like last time....." he said "Don't get too worked up over nothing...."
