private Romance in Philydelphia

It was a warm summer day, Rye was walking the campus grounds with his magic carrying his text books. He thought he saw one of his classmates from World History. He ran to try and catch up with her to see if she was going on the extra curricular field trip too?

Aura walked along as she made her way through the large campus. She was still amazed at the size, though being from a small community she expected to be. The mare heard footsteps and a familiar voice run up from behind her. Turning around, she recognized him instantly.

 

'Oh. Hey Rye. What's up?' She asked with a smile.

"Hey Aura, I was just wondering if you were going in the extra curricular field trip to Philydelphia for World History?" Rye smiled along side her while they walked through the campus. Rye was awaiting for her answer as they both walked through the halls of the campus and the trees were casting shadows through the windows.

'Oh, that? Yeah. I'm going on it, seems a waste not to. Trip to Phillydelphia! What's better?' Aura said with a grin. The two walked through the campus. The sun was going down. She turned back to Rye and waved. 'Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow. I believe that's when the trip is. So yeah, see you there.' She waved before leaving.

Rye smiled and walked away from Aura as she walked down the hallway. Rye got home and packed his stuff for the trip tomorrow, he was so excited that someone he knew was ping in the two person trip to Philydelphia just like him. He hopes he would make lots of good memories there, and even maybe meet a special someone. For now he was going to bed and later he would go back to school and ride the bus to adventure!

Aura walked into her small room. She say down and sighed as she began to pack. Nothing much. Just some clothes and books and other things. She placed the bag by the door and flopped into bed. The day was finally over. She drifted off to sleep with the trip on her mind.

Rye woke up and grabbed his stuff he had left at his door. He picked up the bag and ran out the door to grab the bus. He checked his bag again to see if he forgot anything. Oh nothing important just his lunch, 'god dang it how could I be so stupid?' Rye thought as he reached his bus stop and stepped off the bus to go to his World History class.

Aura rushed to her class. She had to beat Rye for once. Her bag was still relatively light, so she had that advantage. Probably. She zoomed into her class and took a seat, waiting for Rye to get there. Then they were free to leave.

 

She still couldn't believe she was going to Philydelphia. She smiled as she waited.

He stopped by one of his friends locker to talk for a while. He walked into his class and surprisingly saw Aura there before him. He may not have been the smartest pony in the class, definitely not, but he usually always got to the classroom first. He shrugged it off and walked to his seat the teacher assigned from the beginning of the year, he wasn't very far away from Aura. He sat down in his seat and waved a good at Aura hoping she saw and would acknowledge him.

 

It would only be another hour till the coach taxi would arrive and take them both off to freedom, freedom from school that is.

Aura waved back silently.

 

-Hour Later-

 

Aura slammed the paper down and ran off after Rye. She caught up with him quickly.

'Hey Rye, you ready to go? They said they'll be there for about ten more minutes. We should get moving.' She said with a smirk as she ran off to the car that would take them. She grinned as she saw Rye behind her.

Rye galloped after her, she was so excited to get out of here and into Philydelphia, Rye was too. He eventually caught up to her and soon they were outside waiting for the taxi to pull up and take them away. Ten minute of small talking later the taxi showed up ready and gassed for the long journey. Rye put his stuff in the back magically, "You ready to move on then?" He said as he opened the door for Aura.

'Yeah.' The light blue pony answered. She climbed into the taxi first and moved over for Rye, putting her bag by her feet. The journey wouldn't take too long, maybe an hour or two. She smiled. They were finally leaving for Phillydelphia. The taxi made its way with the two students.

The trip was only an hour in, they had at least another before they would get to the stop at Philydelphia. When they got out of the taxi the first thing they would have to do was check in at the hotel that the school has provided for them. Rye had his ear plugs in and his head was on the passenger seat. "I am so freaking bored" Rye complained as he was knocking his head on the passenger seat.

Aura sat quietly, reading a book on the history of Phillydelphia. 'Id assume so.' She said with a smile.

 

'Youve been doing nothing but listen to music and bang your head against the window. What were you expecting?' She asked with a small laugh. She folded the corner of the page she was ok and slipped the book away. 'Besides. We should be there soon.'

Rye smiled back at her and continued to look at the window. About 20 minutes passed and they had entered Philydelphia, Rye rolled his window down and stuck his head out while they were in Traffic to get a good view of the city. It was beautiful bustling streets and the smell of fresh bakes goods filtered the air. Rye looked at Aura with wide eyes, "this is going to be awesome"

Aura looked out the window, taking in the huge city. She was amazed. 'This will. Can't wait to get out into the city.' She said with a smile. The taxi pulled up to a large building. Aura stepped out with her lightweight bag. 'Well, here we are.' She Declared and walked inside

'This was the hotel!?' Rye thought to himself, this was an amazing place to have to stay in for about a month. When Rye walked in felt a breeze of fresh air fly through his mane. Rye wet up to the counter and put his name in and Aura came up from behind him. He grabbed the keys from the desk and they both started walking to their room.

Aura followed Rye to the room. She opened the door and walked in. It was a fairly nice room with a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Two beds sat in the bedroom. 'This...is amazing.' She said as she pulled back the curtains to reveal the huge city. She looked in awe as ponies milled around below her.

Rye started putting his stuff away, the clothes went in the drawer, the comb and deodorant floated into the bathroom. Rye also pulled his note book out of his backpack. "Although I still have to do school related stuff I'm still very excited to do stuff here". Rye looked out the window with Aura, after a little bit of admiring the view he jumped on the bed and looked at his empty notebook.

'Yeah. We still have to get the school stuff done, but we're free to enjoy the rest of the day.' Aura noted as she placed her bag on her bed and sat on it. 'Its not like we have much work to do today anyway. Today is just a one where we can do what we want.' She added , taking out her book and placing it on the dresser.

"I guess your right" Replied Rye,he used his magic and put his notebook and pencil back in the drawer. "So I don't have much of a map but we can just find our way around... Anything you wanna do first?" Rye asked as he got off the bed and began to open the mini doors to the tv.

Aura shrugged. 'I don't care. We could wander around for a while until as find something interesting, I guess.' She said as she looked around the room. It was what she expected. Small but liveable. She sighed. 'Anything you want to do? I don't know much about this place either.'

"Nah not really.....I guess we'll just start on the street and make our way around the town and see what there is around" Rye said before he opened the door and waited for Aura to walk out. "I guess we'll just learn from walking around" Rye explained with a smile.

'Guess we will.' Aura said as she followed Rye. The two made their way down to the huge lobby. Aura followed Rye into the streets. It was even busier than she had imagined! Ponies walked all around. She smiled. 'Phillydelphia is hue. We'll find some thing.' She said.

"Indubitably" Rye answers while they began walking down the streets of Philydelphia, neon lights covered empty walls. Rye imagines this place was completely lit up during the night. They continued down the street till they hit a small restaurant, Ryes stomach had seemed to remember the lack of breakfast from this morning.
