King Sejong 859 February 17, 2014 Share February 17, 2014 I would say they all did, examine their character and the backstory we have, for Twilight Sparkle it's overachieving on behalf of the parents, Applejack the possible death of her parents with conflicting with thoughts, Rarity may have been neglected since her parents are absent most of the time, Pinkie Pie grew up in squalor and was repressed by her family, both Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy had to deal with physical and emotional abuse from her peers and adult pegasi, remember when Fluttershy was shoved of the cloud during flight training? there is a slim possibility of physical abuse. I know most of these traumas, because as a navy corpsman I encountered servicemen with deep emotional scars, although I was not a physiologist, I still had to listen and speak to them about the issues in each servicemen's life, so I have seen some of this emotional baggage in real life, and I know what it looks like, so the mane six are more human than we realize, they can be quite an analogue for human triumph and tragedy, so if anyone is going to learn about philology and philosophy, use the mane six for an example, sit down and feel what each pony had when through, finally see how they overcame adversity and won their way into our hearts.
