How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Story Time, Grab a cider and enjoy the read!

I had just moved to Colorado from PA. This just happened to be the same year that I was starting High School. This was a interesting combination in and of itself, but on top of all of this I had to take care of my Autistic brother and my mom with many health issues.

 

Like it would to anyone, this raised a lot of stress to my everyday life. I was trying to get good grades in school, help my brother and mother. They are great people and they needed great help! I was so very stressed though. It must have shown, one day I was sitting in my Science class, and another student came up to me and asked if I was okay. I just said yes. He offered for me to sit at his table with him at lunch that same day, I took that offer up. He introduced me to many of his close friends! 

 

Everyone was so nice to me. In the fallowing weeks I was slowly telling them all what I was going through. They were all so eager to help! It made my year! As I got to know each and everyone of them personally over the summer I noticed a slight trend. They all had these light colored four legged creatures on there laptops as desktop backgrounds! I was quite curious to find out what these creatures were. I asked one of my new friends that I had just met a year before what that photo was of, he said that it was a pony. 

 

I just said okay as I continued playing Mario Kart with him. Later that night out of boredom I looked up ponies on Google. I had no idea that Google search was going to change my life. I saw positive and upbeat ponies. Something about them made me smile. I had no idea where they came from though, So I did some research. Apparently they came from a show called "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" I am a very open minded person, so I watched an episode. I absolutely loved it! The show made me feel happy, a feeling that I had not felt for quite awhile. 

 

I found myself looking up more and more pony related things online. I was not disappointed art, music, and fan made animations came up. I loved every second of it! I then looked up if it was normal for a teenage boy to like this pony stuff.

I found articles calling fans of the show Bronies! I was a proud Brony too. I felt as if I had just become part of a large group of caring people, and boy, did I!

 

___Two Years Later_____

 

My family and I live in a much larger house now, and we are all relieved to get out of the condo that we had lived in for such a long time! I am the Co-Founder of the "Bronies Of The Ridge" club at my school, and I have watched the show many times over, and on top of all of that..

 

My Parents accepted it!

 

Everyone that had to do with this pony fandom was so kind, I had met more friends at school then I could ever imagine I would have, Just because I liked ponies, just as they did! I have made some other people Bronies too! This had changed my life. I now look at life with bright colors and a warm heart and smile! 

 

I have the figures, plushes and blind bags (That I am hoping to be posting up in the fourms soon)  

 

I would like to thank all of you for being part of such a great community that has changed my life. I have been a Brony for almost two years now. I have met so many kind people on the internet because of it, and I am hoping to make more! I love to make more friends!

That's a great story camster! It seems like you've had your share of tough times, and I think it's really great that you found a supportive group of friends, mlp or no. So it's nice to meet you! And Airbourne is right about that positivity, I wish i could maintain that outlook!
