What did you do for money when you were a teenager?

Trick friends into bets I am guaranteed to win, start saving early, sell stuff, steal from siblings.

Find any aliens?

Why, yes, they were all smoking during breaks and slacking off. Worthless immigrant scum. :D

  • 1 year later...

I'm 18 so I guess I'm an adult now...?

~When I was a teenager, I worked at McDonald's for awhile.

~Whenever I did chores, occasionally I received money for my work.

When i was an earlier teen I worked at McDonald's for 3 years

Worked at this hell hole for 2 years and if you can find someplace else as your first job then do that. McDonalds is not a great first job and that's coming from someone who worked there throughout being a teen. OT I never got any money from my parent's and I'd get really lucky if they gave me 5$ to mow the yard rarely.

I cleaned the hulls of private boats on the weekends underwater and repaired propellers. I also did a little racing on the side (Hey, I was young and stupid. :P)

"I could have been happy above if I'd never donned the copper carapace and dipped my head beneath the waves to hear the muddled man-made sounds. Distorted and dreamlike droning. The whir and thrashing of a distant propeller, the tumultuous thundering thud of fogbound freighters. Mud underfoot, no sights, except the grasp of a diver's trained hand, dreaming of distant lands knowing all the while this is what I love, not the blue skies and wondering faces above. Canvas, rubber, brass, copper, and glass. Leather and lead, mud and sweat, heaving around in dark, damp depths seldom seen by most yet talked about by all. As if a sunny, happy place where mermaids and seahorses play and chests of gold are lain bare, untarnished by salt and time for all to grasp who are bold enough to go below..." -"Deep Sea Diver", Steven L. Waterman

I used to get an allowance, but it wasn't much.

So I used to pet sit for my aunt and uncle when they went on vacation.

They paid me 20 dollars a day to stay at their house and take care of their dog.

It was worth getting up at 5 a.m. to take him out and feed him.
