Moved to Elsewhere 11,331 February 23, 2014 Share February 23, 2014 Well the picture looks pretty decent. I will say the body size looks a little too fat but that's about it.
SFyr 1,982 February 27, 2014 Share February 27, 2014 If you're asking, I have a few points to possibly look into. First off, I would look at how to create a more defined, shapely muzzle. As it is, it looks like her jaw slopes inward at the teeth, or she has a weak/small jaw. I've seen stylized art where the lower part of the jaw is more or less ignored in favor of the top, but it's a look that isn't a straight formula I think, and tends to be even more stylized than the show. Second, I would look a little more closely at the torso (and neck) of ponies in the show, or in the art community. In your pic, it seems to be a simple oval; trust me when I say that even when simplified, there's a little more going on than that. You probably don't need to capture every curve, but there is a certain contour to the pony body that would be good to study a bit. Third, you may also want to look at legs. In my opinion, they're one of those things that look simple on the surface, but actually get to be fairly complex if you take it seriously. Regardless, as it is here, they don't seem to have a lot of substance, and look a good bit too small for the pony. While MLP over-exaggerates how huge they have to be, they are still weight-bearing limbs, and portrayed to be rather large in the show. If nothing else, they should at least be balanced with the size of the torso. Anyways, good luck with further works! I wish you the best. 1 Commission Thread | Deviantart | Poniverse Tumblr | Art Tumblr
