There is a legand. A legend that started 5 years ago when a sighting happend. a filly. Spotted a pony that lived in the ally and seemed to be.... Cleaning herself? After that the news quickly took on as more sighting acurred around Manehattan over a mare with the acting of a cat stealing items and meowing in the night. No one knew who this pony was. All they knew she was The ''Cat Mare''.

It was a clear and blissful night in Manehattan. Guardian decided it was perfect to take a walk for. He left the hotel he was staying at and headed out into the streets. Even during the night time, the town was still full of life and activity. Not as much during the day, but still enough to see ponies going home or heading to night shift.

 

He just walked by any alleyway when some movement caught his peripheral vision. He turned and faced the pitch blackness of the lone gap in between the buildings. Curious, he stepped a little closer, "Hello?" he called out.

She hissed loudly at the on coming pony. It had desturebed her while she was trying to take a nap. She got up and got in a ponshing position in front of the stallion growling showing her fangs. She wasent gonna let some ''pony'' take her place was she? She flicked her tail showing that she would attack if he dident leave now. She was sick of these things messing with her at night. So why not show them how dangerous she could be?

Guardian was a little startled when he heard the hissing noise. He remembered hearing rumors about a mare that was raised by street cats, but no one has actually ever seen her. Quickly, he thought of a way to show that he meant no harm, so he fell onto his side and pretended to be dead. Occasionally opening his sea blue eyes to see what the mare would do.

She walked over to the thing slowly as she made sure he was truly giving up. She sniffed him smelling fear. She saw him open hes eyes and hissed at him. She knew ponies were harmless. But when they come to try to take there land it was anyoying. Shesat and stared at him . She sighed and licked her leg as see saw he was truly harmless.

Guardian continued to lay on the ground, unmoving and unresponsive. Even when the mare hissed at him did he not even flinch. He awaited as he watched her with curious eyes. This was amazing to him. This mare, as the legends say, was raised by street cats. He had to get to know her.

She made a annoyed mew and walked into the ally and layed beside the garbage can. She curled up into a ball and began to try and sleep hoping the pony would go away.. She yawned amd coverd her head with her long fluffy tail.'just please go away!'' she yelled in her mind.

Guardian slowly rolled over and stood up. Seeing as how the mare wanted nothing to do with him, he started to leave but quickly stopped. He reached into his saddle bag and brought out an apple he was saving for a snack later. He set it down and walked away.

She opened her eyes seeing the apple and purrs. She gets up and jumps at it like a kitten and playing with it in her hoofs. She actently knocks it into the street and sits down making a sad face. ''mewwww..'' she said sad that she lost that weird thing she was playing with.

Guardian did not make it that far when he heard the sad cry of the mare. He turned around to see that the apple he gave her has ended up in the street. "What the?" he says under his breath, only to realize that since she acts like a cat, that means she eats like one too. Still, this did not explain why the apple was in the street now. Guardian trotted over to the apple and rolled it back into the alleyway, "There you go." he says in a gentle tone.

She backed up a little seeing the pony. She saw the apple a mewed and delight as she jumped at the apple attacking it as it moved around. She chased it around purring as her collar made a jingle as her name tag hit the ring it was connected too.She dident mind the pony as she was too busy playing to see.

Guardian smiled as he watched the mare play with the apple. It may have been a little strange, but he would never judge anypony. The sound of a bell ringing caught his attention and looked at the cat-mare. Around her neck was a collar with what appeared to be a name tag of some sort. He couldn't make out her name as she played with the apple, so he decided to sit back and watch in amazement, and let out a small chuckle. He had to admit, this little stunt was rather cute.
