Thunder immidiately turned to the Butler. "Well well, looks like things are about to begin." Thunder said as he gathered electricity and disassembled the card building and put the cards back into a deck neatly. He then listened as the butler made his announcement.

"Well you've still got a twenty bit tab from me, so order drinks whenever. In all truthfulness nopony has ever liked me for my childish attribute. I don't think I will join the guard, even if I did get some amazing armour like that. War is hell, and I don't plan to be in another one... Oh, I eer... Never quite caught your name. Do tell?" Sun says as he places Vision's helmet on himself.

"Oh ya that's right isn't it, well I thank you for that too. Yes I don't think you'd wanna ruin your personality by doing what I do, messes with your head sometimes" She waved her hoof in a circular motion by her head "I myself have surpassed those hard times thank Celestia" As she put her last body piece of armor on she looked at Sun "Oh yes, my name is Night Vision but you can call me Vision" She said walked up to Sun taking a good look at him in her helmet "Even if you didn't join the guard, you should wear helmets because you don't look too bad in one" She said with a smile as she took it off his head and placed it on her own. "What Might your name be? Just in case if I see you again tonight I don't have to call you stallion with childish attitude" She said with a smile and she led him back inside.

Sun followed closely behind Vision. "Stream. Sun Stream." He said in a James Bond style. "And what do you mean IF? I plan to see you more through the night and well, after this party is over and we all go home I'd like to get to know you better. Perhaps see you more often." He wouldn't normally be like this on a night out, Sun just assumed it was her formality that caught his attention, along with other things...

"Truth is, I think I really like you."

Atlas just listened and watch. That was the fastest move I've ever seen. He leaned over to the stallion.

"You may want to rethink your approach. You're asking for a hoof in the face" He whispered. 

"Anyway If I hadn't already said it my name's Atlas. We'd better get going to the ballroom. Don't want to keep the owner waiting" Atlas got up ans stood for a moment waited to see if any of the others would be following behind him.

Vision mumbled to herself "Sun Stream....cute". She then replied to him "I'm sure you will see me more, but due to me being in the guard its not often us royal guards are allowed on leave." She all of a sudden stopped causing Sun to bump into her behind. Turning her head to face him "You like me? A mare in the royal guard? First time I've heard that one too, not many take notice to us mares" She walked forward a little bit to create some space from their small collision.

The bulter nodded after awhile and raised his voice over the mingling ponies. "I see that I have received most of your attention so with out further a due her is your host" He took a couple steps back as a tall pony took the front of the balcony. His eyes had a light green color to them along with his light brown coat with a shine sharpened horn. His grey/dark grey mane flowed freely as if a makeshift wind was around him. His tail had the same pattern.

 

"Welcome every pony to this special event" He stated with open hoofs "Please if you haven't already get a drink, mingle, dance the night away." He started to make his way down the stairs. "I would like to get to know you all before telling you why you have came here, I am interested to know what you all think of this place I call home." He said giving a part smile taking a stance near the bar. The bartender quickly gave out his usually which consisted of red whine.

Riley looked over to Anala and Clementia.

 

Riley: That tall pony... is he the host?

 

Clementia: I think so...

 

Riley looked at the plushified Cassidy.

 

Riley: Don't worry, dude, you'll be you again.

 

Anyone, not knowing the backstory, who saw Riley making that statement would have passed him off as insane. Anyway, Riley caught up to the host.

 

Riley: Excuse me, Sir? There's something I wish to speak to you about.

The owner looked down  "Certainly my pony friend what seems to be troubling you?" He asked before he took a sip of his wine. The owner did have a name but he did not just give it out for anyone. He had his mysterious reasons. He did however had a reason as to why he convinced the mayor to hold the event at his mansion. There was a reason why all these ponies here in the rooms that were not locked.

Riley: Sir, something happened about an hour ago. I know this sounds like it's coming from a madcolt, but...

 

Riley held up the Cassidy plushie.

 

Riley: We have cause to believe that our friend has been turned into a plush toy.

"I'm sorry, did I just hear you say cu- oof." Sun is interrupted as Vision stopped in front of him. "You find it surprising? Frankly I'm surprised you haven't heard that before. I'm baffled that you haven't smacked me with your hoof and showed me a ring. I would have thought you had been taken long ago. Maybe everypony else needs glasses to see your... True beauty... I truly mean that, in my eyes you are stunning."

The mysterious pony looked at the plushie for a bit then takes another sip of his wine "You and your friends aren't crazy, your friend there has been put under a curse. Nothing I haven't seen before." He took the plushie and rotated it. "Did your plushie friend here do anything to cause this upon himself?" He asked due to fact that the artifact that caused it was located with in his mansion but wasn't sure if these ponies had another. Likely not he thought.

 Vision snickered softly "A ring? psh, please, I am not ready to settle down, but if you were to feel me up at first that would land you a hoof in the face and a buck to make you unable to have colts or fillies. I have been asked many times on dates Sun, all either ended in disaster or did not show up at all. It's tuff to pick out the one you know? I am not worried though, I'm grateful of were I am in life." She smiled "Thanks Sun, I really appreciate you being so nice to me," She said starting to pace back inside "who knows you may find out how stunning I can be" Giving a wink.

Clementia: Well, as I was walking out of the bathroom, I saw him lying on the ground next to a wall, which had a hole in it that was glowing mysteriously on the inside. Just big enough for a pony's hoof.

 

Riley: Uh, you can turn him back, right?

"Do I know? No. I've never started a relationship without the intention of ending it the very same night, if not the morning after at the latest. Don't get me wrong, I respect mares, I've just only met those with the intentions of not talking to me at all, or just a little fun... Maybe I will meet somepony, or already have, that will be the one." Sun says as he begins at a slow pace after Vision. "It sounds like you've had the same thing eh? I mean if you aren't ready to settle down you've only had a little fun instead? Scratch that, that's too personal. Tell you what, one right here. On the cheek." Sun says lightly tapping his cheek and turning his head slightly. "You choose what to do, give me a hint on what I should do. Even if that means a hint to buck off."

Atlas walked over to the mystery pony after hearing the about a curse.

"Excuse me but did you say curse? That seems somewhat far fetched but still I've been proven wrong many times. Oh, I'm sorry for not properly introducing myself. I am Atlas, adventurer, explorer, and collector of rare antiquities. May have heard of me if you work in the museum business but besides that I'm just a another pony walking down the street. Now about a curse"

The mysterious pony spoke to the group around him "Yes, your friend will be okay, luckily the curse he encountered was not as brutal as some can be. The curse comes from an artifact deep within the Everfree Forest, its effects are only temporary, your friend will be back to normal soon enough. As for where your friend was changed into this form, I cannot say that I heard of a hole in my walls." He did actually know about this hole but if they were to go back to show where this event took place the hole would be boarded up and nailed shut.

 

Turning to Atlas "Ah yes, Atlas I have heard of your adventures and have grown quite fond of them. I always enjoy hearing others talk about your stories. I would be the same as yourself but as you can see age always gets to ponies." he stated as he puts on an act of  a hurting back. The mysterious pony was in very good shape actually, he was lean with muscle tone. He started to levitate his wine glass with his horn's magic. "Even a simple wine glass can put wear on a pony such as myself. Where are my manners, the name you can refer to me as is Escapade, long time owner of this mansion and great fan of adventurers throughout Equestria." he said waving a hoof around the room.

 Vision sniffled "Well let me tell you Sun that I have not had the intentions of having fun with any stallions, never have, I guess you could say I am a virgin mare" she said shrugging her shoulders "Never found true love and it doesn't bother me a bit" She smiled as his gesture and walked up to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek and slowly backed up "I am definitely not telling you to buck off Sun" She thought about his words "Tell ya what, after my shift tonight we can go on a proper date if thats what your trying to get at"

"Well, if you suggest t- wait... Did you just ask ME out? Heh, cool. Sounds like fun, and new. I'm assuming you aren't allowed to do anything but guard this place? If so, ditch it. Come on, we're here to party, so should you. If you get in trouble, I'll take the blame. Come on, have some fun with me eh?" Sun asks as he beacons Vision towards the dance floor.

There was an awkward silence.

 

Riley: Uh... well, thanks for the help, sir. It's much appreciated.

 

You could sense nervousness in Riley's voice.

 

Clementia: Hey, look, this plushie is glowing a little. Does that mean Cassidy is changing back?

 

Anala: Probably.

 

The three of them walked back up.

Smiling and nodding his head, the mysterious unicorn replied "You are very welcome young steed, next time better be more careful as to where you roam about my mansion. And yes your friend there is in the process of transforming back into his old self."

Vision was unsure what to say, she hasn't had a good time with a stallion in awhile but she didn't wanna get demoted of her rank for being out of line. "If something were to happen and some pony was to get hurt it would be on not only you but me, your very sweet for taking the blame for me Sun but they would chew my flank up regardless of you in the way or not." She said walking onto the dance floor. "I can only watch sadly" Vision said as she gave a half smile "You go ahead and tear it up" She wanted to be on her leave so she could take part dancing with Sun but she knew Shinning was here and she wouldn't dare look bad in front of him.

Riley set Cassidy onto the ground, and the latter kept glowing...

Cassidy noticed that the surroundings were back to the size he usually saw them as, and then realised he could move again. He looked up at his friends, a grin appeared on his face to ridiculous proportions, and he jumped and wrapped them in his arms.

 

Clementia: Good to have you back, Cassidy!

 

Cassidy: Thank you, all of you. That was just too strange for words.

 

Riley: And that adventure is a fine example of how the magic of friendship can solve anything!

 

The four of them embraced in a group hug... while Anala hoped that nopony was giving them awkward looks.

 

Riley: Well, now that the little adventure has come to a conclusion, what shall we do?

 

Cassidy: Enjoy the night, I guess.

"Ah come on. It's dancing, nopony is gonna get hurt. Besides, if Mr Bigshot over there gets you in trouble, I'll rough him up a little. Start a bit of a hoof up, then when you jump in and beat the crap out of me *wink* And save him, you'll be back in the green. Lighten up, have a little fun. Bust a few moves eh?" Sun says, starting to get into the groove of the music, beginning to dance a little.

Anala: I'm going over to the dance floor.

 

Riley: Woo! Shake that flank, girl!

 

Riley soon regretted saying that, as it was addressed with a swift slap to the face.

 

After a considerable amount of cartoon pain, Riley sat down at the bar.

 

Riley: Who wants to play a drinking game?

Thunder saw the dance floor. "Nothing like a good ol' groove to relieve some of this boredom." Thunder stated as he hit the dance floor. He spread his wings, gathered some electricity, pulled off a single backflip and broke out into an electrified dance. At one point, he spun rapidly to cause a small electric tornado to form.

Vision watched as Sun started to move with the beat. Somehow him moving made her own hips start to sway back and forth. "I hope you know what your doing there Sun" She said taking a couple steps towards him moving her flanks with the beat "Bet you've danced with plenty of mares in your life, show me what you got" She didn't feel too out of place to see the others dancing around them.

Spacer couldn't help himself either at the bar. He put down his 3rd mug of cider and was bobbing his head to the music. "Ahhhh give me that bass!"

The mysterious pony owner, managing to get out of the center of attention, slipped to the back of the crowd surrounding the dance floor. Scanning the floor for any particular ponies that caught his eyes. He nodded at several ponies to himself, the last one he nodded at was the electrical pegasus pulling out some sweet moves. "In time Escapade...." he motioned over the butler and whispered something in his ear and the butler then dissapeared behind a door.

Atlas had slipped out of the dance floor and onto the side. He watch as Thunder busts a move causing a bit of ruches. Atlas looked about the crowd.

"Hey Deal!" Atlas called.

"Atlas? What are you doing here?"

"I was in town and I needed to relax. I should ask you the same"

"Business. I have clients outside of Canterlot" Done Deal said as he brushed himself off for no apparent reason.

"Where's your wife?"

"She's at home. She isn't feeling great"

"Well I hope she get's better. Say? What do you think of thee owner of the place"

"What do you mean by that?"

"He just has a thing about him... And his butler..."

"You're paranoid. Relax!"

"I don't know... For one thing he knows some things about me and only really friends, museum ponies, and Celestia really know about me not counting the occasional story told in the Griffon Kingdom... Do me a favor. Keep an eye out for those two. My gut hasn't steered me wrong before and it's telling me something is deeper than this party..."

"You sound like you're coming out of a Daring Do novel..."

"I've been in one so yeah... I'll be back" Atlas slipped away just in time to see the mystery pony whisper something to his butler and watch the butler slip away.

"Oh no you don't" Atlas followed the butler through the door and into a hallway. "Where did he go?" It had paintings a fine rug and many doors but no butler.

"Ah see? You're getting into the groove of things now. I've only danced with mares who, well, weren't exactly sober. Show some moves eh? Well ok then... But I hope you can return the favour..." Sun says as he bursts out into some pretty sweet moves, even some breakdancing.
