gaming Bypassing the Spore DRM

Last summer, I traded my ZombiU for my friend's Spore, which looked appealing. I went home, installed it, authenticated, and started playing. It was fun for a while, then I got bored. We've since moved that computer to another room, and now I'm having problems.

You see, that computer runs Vista, which everyone knows is a steaming pile of crap:

Spore, being the stupid EA game it is for which EA was sued, has a DRM. I've already authenticated the game, but EA wants to do it again. This shouldn't be too much of a problem, except this time, the computer has no internet whatsoever. It's completely stuck offline, and seeing as Spore is totally playable offline, it makes no sense that it should have to connect to the internet at all. (XBone didn't learn from this.)

There are two routers in my home, and Vista will connect to neither one of them. One of them is currently functioning only as a LAN, because it doesn't recognize the ethernet cable plugged into it and won't connect to the internet. The other one, Vista says does not respond.

The interwebz yield no help for any problem here.

What do I do?
