"That's for sure" SHe said before hearing Gale say she could only pit plasma. "Well plasma can cook fish it jut needs to be in a steady stream...but I don't think that is possible" She said as she finihed eating the fish she caught. "You know...the queen could just catch fish instead of eating others food all the time"

Luna sighed, and watched as Tempest and Ruby left. She then simply trotted out of the arena, and followed Tempest.

 

The cyan pegesus ignored the glares he received from the other ponies, as he entered the great hall. He got a bit of food, and sat down at one of the unoccupied tables. "Why do I even stay here? It's not like any of them know what it feels like to have to pretend to hate something you love." He thought. The cyan pegesus then glanced at Luna. "What do you want?"

 

Luna was slightly taken aback by Tempest's harsh tone, but she figured that she had it coming. "I wanted to apologize. I never should've had Blueblood spy on you." She said, as she set the large book she had been holding onto the table. "I want you to have the Book of Dragons."

 

Tempest was slightly surprised by what Luna had said. It wasn't everyday that a pony simply apologized, and he didn't even remember if the chief had ever entrusted anypony with the book. "Just be sure it doesn't happen again." He said, as he finished eating. The cyan pegesus then picked up the book and trotted to his home. He set the book on a table, before heading into the forest.

 

Gale sighed slightly. "Who's to say that that thing belongs on this planet?" She asked. "I mean, could any of you imagine if there were more of her. It would be a ecological disaster."

"It would be horrible....there would be to many, but then again they could be just fighting against each other" She said. "So...what do any of you want yo do" She asked. "Because staying here doing noting is getting a bit boring" She said before looking at the sky

Clayton sighed, as he trotted into the village. He had noticed Tempest heading into the forest, but decided to get some food first. "I might as well pay a visit to the dragons later." He thought to himself. "I wonder if any of them would let me ride them." The unicorn then shrugged, as he got his food and sat down.

Gale shrugged. "We could do a bit of flying." She said. "There aren't any ponies on the opposite side of the island from the village, so there would be less of a chance of us being seen."

 

Dark nodded, and smiled. "It would be good to get some exercise. We haven't done anything except for stay on the ground."

 

Tempest smiled as he entered the cove. It felt like it was one of the only places on Equestria that he could show who he really was, a kind and somewhat gentle pony with a heart of gold and a soul of silver. "I think Ruby and Clayton are still in the village, so I guess I'm looking after all of you for the day." He said, glancing at the dragons.

 

Gale glanced at Tempest, and laughed slightly. She felt at ease when he was close to her.

Tenebra pondered for a moment as she eats another fish "well i would say free dragons in that village that are cages but that can only end badly unless we do it at night other than that i'm out of ideas on what to do"

 

Ruby flied into the great hall and got her food she noticed Clayton she sat down next to him "well that was one booring dragon training session or whatever".

"If we free them though we need to do it without hurt any of the ponies or their homes" She said. "Otherwise if we try to do it roughly and just break open them we could hurt ponies while we are getting the other dragons out" She said. "I don't want to hurt any ponies either

Tempest glanced at Tenebra and Saphira, before he simply shrugged. "I'll see what I can do, though we can't free them all at once. That would cause some suspicion, and possibly bring more attention to our little group than we need at the moment." He said, without even realizing what he had said.

Clayton glanced at Ruby, and shrugged. "Luna'll probably call us back after lunch." He said. "It just surprises me at how ignorant some of the ponies here can be, though." The unicorn then shrugged, and decided to change the subject. "So, what have you been up to?"

"Yea that sounds good enough also Tempest aren't ponies unable to understand dragons? how come you can understand us?" Tenebra asked.

"Well great more boring dragon training sessions then well anyways, i'm not really doing a lot of things lately other than read books " Ruby said.

Tempest's face paled as he realized what Tenebra said. "I honestly have no idea." He said, slightly nervous. The cyan pegesus then recalled what had happened the night before, and sighed. "It first happened last night, I think. I... I woke up on dragon island. I don't know how I got there, but I could defiantly hear somepony or something talking. I guess a few dragons were out, and I caught a bit of the conversation."

 

Gale glanced at Tempest with a mixture of shock and disappointment. "Why didn't you tell us sooner?" She asked, beginning to feel her frustration build. "How can we trust you, knowing that you kept something as important as this from us? I thought you trusted us." It was a stupid thing to say, but the dragoness didn't really care.

 

The cyan pegesus was shocked by what Gale had said, and looked to the ground. Out of all of them, he had expected her to at least try to reason through the situation. "You can't." He said, trying his best to fight back the sadness that had been building up for so long. Tempest then spread his wing and took to the skies. He didn't know where he was going, but he knew where he wasn't. The tears came after he had flown a mile from Equestria.

Clayton nodded, as he ate. "You mean, aside from meeting a few dragons?" He whispered. He knew that it wasn't safe to talk about something like that in the village, but nopony was around to hear them. "I mean, that is pretty amazing. As for the dragon training, we'll just have to bid our time until we have a decent opportunity, which probably won't happen until the day of the final exam. Luna'll probably suspect something if we don't show up."

 

Orion was surprised at what Gale had said. He had never known her to get that upset. The dragon decided not to speak though.

Tenebra looked at Gale with shocked expression "Gale that was uncalled for your a little bit right but he saved your life go appologize to him" Tenebra scolded.

 

Ruby sighed "i guess your right but it doesn't mean we cant skip it every once and a while " she said as she took a bite out of her food.

Saphira was speechless before snapping out of it. "Tempest wait.." She was too late he was already gone. "Can't believe he kept something hidden...after we just helpd him also" She said. "I guess he didn't really trust us...like most ponies" Se said as she went up in a tree

Gale glanced at Saphira. "Don't say that about him." She growled. "He was probably just confused about what was happening to him." The dragoness then flew into the air and chased after Tempest. It didn't take her long to find him on the beach of a small island. "Tempest?"

 

The cyan pegesus turned and glanced at Gale. His eyes didn't hold a single emotion. "Gale."

 

The dragoness sighed, and looked at the sand. "Tempest, I'm sorry. I didn't mean any of what I said back in the cove. I let my emotions take over. Please, forgive me. We can't do this without you."

 

After a few seconds, a smile spread on Tempest's lips. "I should've told you sooner." He said, as he got on Gale's back. "Let's go home." Tempest knew that things wouldn't be the same, but he would make the best of what he had.

 

Gale purred slightly, before taking off into the air.

 

Luna glanced at Clayton and Ruby from across the grand hall. She knew that they were most likely friends of Tempest based on their interactions with each other in the ring. "I should thank them for bringing Tempest out of his shell." She thought, as she walked outside.

Clayton nodded slightly. "I suppose you're right." He said. "I would love to spend more time with them. Hopefully after we end this war, they'll finally be accepted here." The unicorn then smiled slightly, as he noticed Luna leave. "I guess we're heading back to training." Clayton then stood up and trotted towards the exit.

 

Orion glared at Saphira. "That is enough. We already know that he trusts us." He said. "If he didn't, we would all probably be on somepony's wall."

Tempest laid his head on Gale's back as he held onto the dragonessas they flew. He swore that he could hear her heart beat in time with his.

 

Gale smiled, and decided to break the silence between the two. "I know things will change, but it honestly isn't that bad." She said, trying to comfort him. "It'll make it easier for communication, at the very least."

 

The cyan pegesus hummed in agreement, and closed his eyes. "I'm just wondering how Clayton and Ruby will react." He said. "I want to tell them on my own terms, but I don't want them to think I'm insane."

 

Gale sighed. "I can't help you, there." She said. "You'll have to do that on your own."

"I guess you're right Orion" Saphira said as she laid on a branch in a tree. "I said I wouldn't sleep in a branch again and now look...sleeping on a branch in a tree" She muttered as she closed her eyes. "I'm just going to get a bit of rest...just wake me up if we need to go" She said

Gale landed on a rocky beach on the less inhabited part of Equestria. "We're here." She said, as she laid on the a stone slab.

 

Tempest groaned, as he slid off of Gale's back. He sat on the ground and leaned against the dragoness's chest. "I wish we could do this more often." He murmered to himself.

 

A few small dragons that could fit in the palm of Tempest's hove flew onto the beach, and scurried towards the cyan pegesus and his dragon. They babbled incoherently, and Tempest got a mild headache from it.

 

Gale growled as one of the miniature dragons ran up to her, and nipped at her claws. She knocked it away after it wouldn't take the hint to back off. When it reared it's head and opened it's mouth, Gale shot in a small stream of fire.

 

The dragon was dazed by the internal combustion and stumbled drunkenly to Tempest.

 

The cyan pegesus smiled slightly at the display. "Not so fireproof on the inside, are you?" He asked, as he scratched the tiny dragon under the chin. It purred and curled into a ball next to the pony. An idea then planted itself in the cyan pegesus's mind, but he pushed into the back of his mind.

Dark shrugged slightly, and turned her attention to Orion and Tenebra."So, what do you two want to do, now?" She asked.

 

Tempest was brought back to attention when he heard a few bushes near the forest. "Gale, get ready to fly." He said, as he stood up. He then noticed that the small dragon that had been next to him had flown away

 

Gale jumped up and got beside Tempest. "I'm not leaving unless you come to." She growled, not looking away from the bushes.

 

Before the cyan pegesus could respond, two bolas flew out of the treeline and wrapped around the pegesus and dragon, causing them to fall to the ground. As the cyan pegesus struggled against his bindings, he noticed a group of five ponies come out of the treeline. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" A pony with multiple scars over his body asked. The same pony then delivered a swift kick to Tempest's chest.

 

The cyan pegesus bent over in pain, and groaned. He didn't care what they did to him, but he had to make sure Gale was safe. When he glanced over at her, he could see the dragoness struggle to break the ropes atound her.

 

The pony with multiple scars laughed. A smaller pony came up to her, and motioned towards Gale. "Chrysalis, the lad has a Night Fury." He said."What are we going to do with em'?"

 

Chrysalis produced a knowing hum, and glanced over at Tempest and Gale. "We'll take them back to Luna, of course. I'm sure she'll love to know that one of her own has allied himself with those devils." She said. A few of the other ponies in the group then lifted Gale and Tempest into the air, and began to trot towards the village. Of course, they knocked Gale unconcious, afraid of what the dragoness would do if it broke it's bonds.

"Like i said at nightfall we will free the dragons in cages i that village one or two dragons freed a night though i'm a little worried why Gale and Tempest have not come back i guess i could search for them until nightfall" Tenebra said.

Ruby sighed and followed Clayton out of the great hall.

Clayton glanced at Ruby, and slowed down so she could catch up. "Remember what we're fighting for." He said in a soothing tone. "We will make them see that dragons are not the monsters they think they are. They're just to stubborn to accept it."

 

Orion nodded slightly. "I agree. It would be safer to free the dragons at night. As for Tempest and Gale, I'm sure they're safe" He said. "It's not exactly safe for pure black dragons to fly while the sun's up, anyway."

Chrysalis stopped her group at the edge of the forest. "Wait here." She said, as she trotted out of the forest.

 

Luna noticed Clayton and Ruby following her, and turned to face the two. "I was looking for you two." She said. "I would like to thank the both of you for helping Tempest. He was never the same after his parent's death. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Celestia made him the next chief." Luna then noticed Chrysalis. "What are you doing here?"

 

Chrysalis smiled, as she produced a light whistle. "Is that really how you treat an old friend?" She asked.

 

Tempest grit his teeth in pain as the ponies Chrysalis had left behind tortured him. By the time he heard somepony whistle, his fur was matted with blood and he haf several other injuries. The ponies hadn't paid much attention to Gale, but he didn't know what to think of that. "When I get out of here, all of them will pay." He thought, as the ponies dragged Gale and himself out of the forest. He was angry at himself for getting caught, Gale for not flying away, and the others for not realizing whst was going on until it was to late.

 

Luna was shocked at what she saw. Tempest had a bola wrapped around him and a dragon was next to him in similar situation. "Chrysalis, what is the meaning of this?"

"Chrysalis did you fucking need to beat Tempest up? " Ruby said angrily before quick flying at Tempest's side she wanted to go up high in sky and dive at Chrysalis face while hoping she did a sonic rainboom to double the pain and kill her in the process or put her in a coma.

Clayton had to stop himself from punching Chrysalis and trying to free Tempest. Instead, he trotted up to the pegesus, and put a hoove on his shoulder. "Are you ok?" He asked, slightly worried. The unicorn then looked at Gale, and noticed that she didn't have a single scratch on her. "He must've taken the brunt of the beating." He thought to himself.
