Tempest flinched in pain, and pulled back from Clayton's hove."Please, don't get involved." He thought to himself.

 

Chrysalis glanced at Ruby, and shrugged. "I didn't lay a hoof on him. My associates, on the other hand, thought otherwise. Not that I care or anything." She said, smiling slightly. "He brought this unto himself when he allied with the dragons." Chrysalis then motioned to Gale.

 

Luna was slightly surprised by this, and glanced at the cyan pegesus. When he didn't return her gaze, she sighed. "Take him and the dragon to the prison. I'll deal with them later." She said, before turning to Ruby and Clayton. "As of right now, dragon training is cancelled until further notice." Celestia's second in command then trotted towards the village, followed by Chrysalis and the ponies carrying Tempest and Gale.

Ruby growled and flied in front of Chrysalis  "no you cant take him to prison i wont let you" she then grabbed a sharp rock and started trying to cut away the ropes around Gale hoping that she'd cut away enough to hopefully let Gale fly away she'd focused cutting away the rope that tied gales wings she was doing this as fast as she could if she'd have her dagger this job would have been much much easier.

Gale opened her eyes and noticed that Ruby was trying to cut the ropes that were around her. "Hurry." She growled. As she felt the last of the ropes break, she flew into the air, knocking Ruby off of her in the process, and picked up Tempest with her claws. The dragoness then flew away from the island as fast as she could. She had to get Tempest to safety.

 

The cyan pegesus would've screamed if he wasn't so surprised. He looked at Gale and then back in the direction of Equestria. "Thank you." He whispered, before falling unconscious. Tempest wouldn't let Ruby's sacrifice go in vain. He would end this war once and for all, and he knew just how to do it. The only problem was the fact that he would need the help of all of the ponies on Equestria, and the dragons he had befriended.

 

Chrysalis rolled her eyes as she watched the dragoness fly away. "You are a foolish little filly, aren't you?" She asked, turning her attention to Ruby. The ponies that were with Chrysalis then surrounded Ruby and Clayton.

 

Dark smiled as she noticed the setting sun. "It's time. Let's go free us some dragons." She said, as she flew into the air.

Ruby quickly stood up and went into a battling pose with her wings spreaded out "i'm not going down without a fight its time i show ya'll my acrobatic skills" she then smirks then took to the skies and started flying quite high above Chrysalis possibly  waiting for the right moment to strike.

 

"yep can't wait" Tenebra said as she flew into the air with Dark.

Clayton was slightly surprised, but got into a fighting stance. "You're all wrong about dragons." He said. The unicorn wished he had his scythe, but he would make do with what he had. "I will fight for what is right."

 

Orion smirked, and glanced at Saphira. "We're going to free the other dragons." He said, before following Dark and Tenebra.

A few ponies came out of their homes to see what the commotion was and immediately drew their weapons, when they found out what had happened.

 

Luna sighed, as she drew her own axe. "Don't do this." She said.

 

Gale landed on one of the islands past the dragon's nest, and set Tempest down in the grass. "Tempest, I'm sorry. I could've saved them." She said, as she cut the ropes on Tempest.

 

The cyan pegesus stood up, and sighed. "It'll be fine, Gale. I doubt they'll hold a trial until Celestia get's back." The cyan pegesus then felt a searing pain course through his body, and hissed in pain.

 

Gale pressed her forehead to Tempest's chest. "You are not going anywhere in your condition." She said. "I can treat your wounds, but it'll take a day or two for them to heal."

 

Tempest sighed, and sat down. "Ok, do what you have to." He said. The cyan pegesus only sat in silence as Gale licked his wound and cleaned the blood off of his fur. After a few minutes, he began to hum a song his mother would sing every night before he went to bed. Tempest smiled as he slowly fell asleep.

 

Dark smile slightly at Tempest's sleeping form. He seemed to be more relaxed. "Good night, my little hatchling." She said, as she curled into a ball around her rider and friend, and draped a wing over him.

 

Dark soon landed in front of the dragon arena, and looked around. "Something's not right. I thought it would be more guarded." She muttered.

Tenebra landed next to Dark "well if its barely guarded lets not complain it will make things easier and less bloody though lets try to be as silent as possible "

 

Ruby and dove down towards Chrysalis with a hoof extended aimed at her face she dived as fast as she could then hitted Chrysalis right in her face then she flew back up again.

Orion stayed in the air, as he looked at the perimeter of the arena. "I'll warn you if anypony is coming." He said. The dragon then noticed a fight in the village, and decided to investigate. When he saw Clayton and Ruby, he roared and dove out of the sky.

 

Clayton smirked as he heard Orion, and glanced at the few ponies he was fighting. "I hate to leave on a sour note, but a friend of mine is here. He doesn't like to be kept waiting." He said, as he climbed to the roof of a house, Tempest's to be exact, and jumped into the air. As soon as he landed on the space in between Orion's wings, he glanced back. "Ruby, I do believe it's time to go." He yelled, as Orion flew back into the air.

Dark shrugged, and turned her attention to Tenebra. "Come on. We have to work fast." She said, as she walked into the arena. Something about this place was off setting, and the dragoness wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.

 

Chrysalis was sent back a few feet from the hit, and glared at Ruby. "You'll pay for that. you little brat." She growled. Chrysalis then sunk back into the shadows as she noticed a large dragon.

Ruby grinned and flew after Orion she held onto Clayton just in case "hey that was fun though i'm worried we'd get hanged if we ever come back which is a problem" she then sighed

Tenebra looked around nervously "hmm yea this seems very off i'mm starting to have second thought's about this" she said as she followed Dark into the the arena.

Clayton smiled slightly, and laughed. "Yeah, I doubt we'll be coming back." He said. "I wonder where Tempest is, though. That grey Night Fury flew off with him, but we may have some trouble finding them."

 

Orion sighed, as he heard the ponies talk. He then landed in front of the dragon arena. "Come on you two. We have to go." He growled, his voice holding a twinge of urgency. "The ponies know we're here."

Dark glanced at Tenebra. "It'll be ok." She said. The dragoness then glanced at the doors. "This shouldn't be to hard." Dark then began to lift each of the wooden pillars that held the doors in place. As soon as the last one was gone, the three dragons that were in the cage burst through and flew out of the arena. The dragoness then glanced at Orion and nodded. "Ok. We're coming." Dark then flew out and into the air.

Tenebra flew after Dark taking one last glance at the arena as she flew she felt a bit better that the dragons in the cages are free now.

 

Ruby sighed "yea and that's gonna suck well at least we can survive in the wilderness decently or find another village if that ever happens".

Clayton shrugged, and smiled. "We'll see what happens." He said. "Anyway, we should probably find a different island at the very least."

 

Orion growled in approval, and glanced at the two dragonesss. "We should be going." He said, before flying out to the ocean. "We have to find Gale and Tempest."

Luna sighed as she trotted through the village. Chrysalis and the other ponies were returning to their homes. "I don't understand. Why would they do this?" She thought, as she remembered what Ruby had said a few days ago.

 

Dark nodded, and followed Orion.

 

Tempest sighed as he drifted through the storm that was his subconscious. He heard Gale's heartbeat in his head, and smiled as the storm dispersed. "Two hearts beat as one. Two minds think alike. Two will always have power." He muttered, remembering a old riddle his mother would tell him. "Even now, I still don't know what she meant."

"Oh yea i think i punched one of Chrysalis's teeth out man anyways yea a diffirent island sounds like a good idea though for now lets get some rest" Ruby said as she yawned.

 

Tenebra followed Orion and Dark "well i hope the dragons we freed wouldn't go to the queen and start giving her food"

Clayton laughed slightly, and smiled. "If you want, I could move over so you could have more room." He said, blushing slightly. "I agree, though. We should get some sleep."

 

Orion sighed slightly. He had never expected for things to be like this, but it could be worse.

Dark shrugged, and glanced at Tenebra. "I know, though it's not like that'll matter for much longer." She said. The dragoness then smiled slightly. "We just need to find a way to kill Jourmador, and things will return to what they once were."

 

When Gale opened her eyes, she saw that the sun was already rising over the horizon. "The night sure does fly by." She thought, as she walked. The dragoness soon found a beach not to far from where she and Tempest had landed, and began to fish.

 

By the time Celestia's had exited the fog, two ships had already been lost to the dragons. As for the ponies on them, she didn't want to think about what had become of them.They still hadn't found the dragon nest, either. "Set a course for Equestria. We're heading home." She said, as the ship cut through the water.

"Well sleeping on a dragon does not sound a tiny bit safe at all plus its sunrise i guess time does fly by when your doing something" Ruby said.

 

"Well we could go to the dragons nest now and fight her and see what happens we dont even know what she looks like this should be fun" Tenebra said.

Dark nodded. "I suppose we should see what we're up against. The only question is what do we do if we can't beat her." She said.

 

By the time Tempest had woken up, Gale had already returned with some fish. "Well, someone's been busy." He said.

 

Gale smiled slightly. "I got some for you to." She said, as she regurgitated part of a fish in Tempest's lap.

 

The cyan pegesus was slightly confused, and was slightly nervous when he finally did catch on. "Thanks." He said, as he picked up the fish, and took a bite out of it. He was reluctant to swallow it, but he did when Gale motioned for him to swallow the fish. "Anyway, we should head back to Equestria." The cyan pegesus then got on top of Gale, and the dragoness flew into the air.

 

Luna was the first one at the docks when Celestia's ship arrived. "I take it you didn't find the nest?" She asked.

 

The chief sighed, and glanced at her friend. "No. I suppose you didn't have any luck with the recruits?"

 

Luna sighed, and nodded. She then explained to Celestia what had happened, and the chief wasn't to happy. The two of them then trotted into the great hall, and ate in silence.

 

(I have a few more things planned before the queen's death, so you won't be able to kill her yet. You can still fight her, though.)

Orion nodded. "I agree with Dark. We should pay a visit to that monster." He growled, ready to fight.

 

Clayton nodded, and sighed. "Yeah. A lot can happen in a few short hours." He said, as he looked out into the sea. "Where do you suppose they are? Tempest and Gale, I mean."

"Hmm maybe on a deserted island thats my best guess for now " Ruby said as she yawned getting tired of the lack of sleep.

 

"Hmm yes we should pay the queen a visit though we might have to leave Ruby and Clayton somewhere safe for now" Tenebra said she'd love to see the queen and fire a plasma blast at her face.

Dark nodded. "I agree. It would be to dangerous for them to come with us. The heat from the flames alone would sear their skin.

 

Tempest smiled as he and Gale hovered in the air above the village. The two hid behind a cloud as Tempest assessed the situation. "From what I can tell, Celestia is back from her hunt. This could prove interesting." He said.

 

Gale nodded. "Should I come with you?" She asked, slightly nervous. The dragoness didn't like leaving Tempest's side, and despised most of the ponies that had yet to realize what was in the skies above them.

 

The cyan pegesus shook his head. "I'll be fine. If push comes to shove, you know what to do." He said, as he dove through the cloud and towards the ground. By the time he had landed, a circle of ponies had already formed around him. At the front of the group, he noticed Celestia and Luna. He expected the looks of contempt and hatred they gave him, and wasn't scared. "I'm here to make a deal." He said.
