"Phew. Finally I'm off work." Yosuke said as he sat down at the usual table. "Now where is everyone?"

"Yosuke!" Yosuke stiffened as he saw Teddy run up to him and hug him. "Jeez bear, clingy much? Now sit down and wait for everyone else like a good little bear should." Yosuke told Teddy.

Yu had spent the day doing mostly menial things, looking around at various shops, talking to people...  he even visited the Velvet Room, to see if Marie was there... she was not. Finally, the school was letting out so everyone should get together at Junes.He arrived abit later than expected, getting a call from Dojima about having to work late, before arrivieing. He spotted Yosuke and Teddy, sitting down at a spare seat. "Hey." He said, leaning forward in his seat.He saw Teddy though and smiled. "Hey, Teddy... been awhile. Its good to see you, dispite the circumstances."

 

The school day had been boring... boring... boring! He couldn't focus on a damn thing! His mind was a million placed, but it certaintly wasn't on some random ass River a thousand miles away he couldn't care less about! Finally,  school let out and he and Naoko walked to Junes together, discussing little on the way. The arrived and spotted the others. Seeing Yu, he walked over and smiled lightly. "Yu. It's good to see ya.Sucks that you had to come back just in time for this, but... well, we're glad you came by." He said, taking a seat.

Mariku stopped when he arrived near Junes he stopped when he saw one of the guys that worked there, He also noticed that the glasses he 'borrowed' were still on his face. "Crap" He put the glasses in his pocket before he continued walking onward before running into Chie and bumping into her. "Hey watch it" Chie said. "I'm sorry" He replied back

"Hey you. it's -" Yosuke was interrupted as Teddy shout "SENSEI!" Teddy then leaped and hugged Yu while crying tears of joy. Yosuke ust groaned and waved over to Chie as she walked up to them.

 

"Oh yeah, Yu. Forgot to mention but Rise will be on holiday until further notice.She decided to take a vacation and didn't tell us when she'll be back, so no Rise." Yosuke said. He waved to Kanji and Naoto as well. Teddy was still hugging Yu.

 

Sekel couldn't concentrate on school as his mind was still focused on the TV World. When school was let out he wandered over to Junes to see if he could try and see if they were recorded on the security camera.

"Well...excuse me as I need to go now" He said before noticing Yu Narukami. "You wanted to ask me something before I had to leave did you not" Mariku asked as he looked at Narukami.  "Also...I have been hearing you talk about the Midnight Channel also so tell me something....whats with the world in the TV" Mariku asked.

 

 

"Wait how do you know about that" Naoto asked. "Yeah and how would you know that we know about the Midnight Channel" Chie asked

 

"Easy....you speak a bit loud" Mariku said

Yu smirked a little, hugging Teddy back, patting his back gently. "Haha, hey, Teddy.I missed you too, don't worry." Teddy always was a little...extreme when it came to emotions, but hey, to him that was part of his charm. He'd hugged him for a short time, before finally manageing to calm him down abit. He blinked at the mention of Rise. "Ah, alright. Shame..." he supposed they could have Teddy do the searching... he spotted Chie, and was about to say something when the student he'd spoken too before talked to him. Asking him questions... he supposed he should have been less trusting, but... the boy already knew about the Midnight Channel, and about the TV world...  when the others asked how he knew, and the boy spoke, Yu couldn't help but smirk. "Maybe it has something to do with the fact our 'head quarters'is in a public eating area.... anyway, Mariku... people who show up on the midnight channel all... staticy, are going to get thrown in. Soon. The TV world is a physical representation of humanity's other side..." he said, giving a very brief explanation... 

 

Kanji, however, was already on his feet, stepping over to the kid. "Hang on one damn minute! How do you know about the TV world, huh?" He said angrilly. "How do we know you aren't the one behind this shit this time? I mean, out proof Adachi was the killer before was that he was able to go into the TV... how do we know it isn't this punk?"

"Oh Kanji. You always get so worked up about everything. Besides, the security manager asked me to look at some tapes of the security footage from the electronics department and something surprised me. Mariku here and some other boy," Yosuke pointed to the boy taht was running up to Mariku, "came straight out of the TV, talked for a bit and headed back in but not before Mariku grabbed a pair of reading glasses." Yosuke informed them. Teddy sat back down and looked at everyone with an extremely happy smile on his face.

 

Sekel overheard the boy speak and slowly walked up to them. He nervously grinned and waved.

"Yes now get out of my face please" Mariku said passing Kanji. "Now can someone explain to me what the hell is with the run down version of Inaba in the TV" He asked. "It's known as the shadow world it's where the last people were thrwon in thanks to Adachi and Marie" Naoto said. "Bullshit, Marie had nothing to do with those murders" He said

"I don't see how that disproves a damn thing. After all, that just shows that he can enter the TV..." he paused at the mention of glasses. "Oh, and that he's a thief..." he said, clenching his fist. Okay, yeah, maybe he was jumping to conclusions, but this guy could enter the TV! Maybe he was feigning ignorance on it, but they knew he could go into the television, and he stole something... to Kanji, that made his suspicious. Not suspicious enough to beat the living tar out of over a hunch, but still! He boy just stepped by, causing Kanji to grab him by the back collar of his shirt. "Hold it! You don't just get to walk by me like that!" As far as Kanji was concerned, this guy was at the very least a suspect.

 

(I don't feel this is terribly out of character for Kanji... right?)

"Yu. You remember that guy who used to work at the gas station right? Do you think he could be the one behind Marie on the Midnight Channel? Because if I remember, then Marie only told everyone that Midnight Channel was an urban legend and that you could find your supposed soulmate on it. I do not think that Marie is behind this. Do you?" Yosuke asked worriedly. He didn't like the fact that Marie could possibly be behind all this, but if that's so then why was she shown on the Channel?

 

Sekel stood to the side and watched Mariku get help up by Kanji. Both Kanji and Naoto are a couple years above him. He clutched the key in his pocket to calm himself but it didn't seem to be working so he took it out and looked at it instead.

Mariku slipped out of shirt and had a under shirt on. "You really don't want to piss me off Kanji Tatsumi" Mariku said. "I may look small but I can deal with big guys like you" Mariku said taking a fighting stance. "Hey wait a second" Chie called out

Yu thought a moment at what Yosuke purposed... "I doubt either of them are behind this.The guy at the gas station was the one that unlocked my Wild Card,remember? And Marie was a part of him. She was just there to spread the rumor... Besides, I just can't see Marie being the killer. In all likely hood, she's just someone else that is, or will be, thrown in."

 

Kanji took his own fighting stance, glaring at the kid before him. "I hear a whole 'lotta shit coming out of your mouth right now. What I don't hear is you denying being the cause of this!" He said angrily. This was it. This was a situation Kanji could handle. A good ol' brawl! Even if the kid wasn't bluffing, Kanji wasn't worried. He'd fought monsters for christ sake, and even before then he was beating up biker gangs single handedly! He heard Chie, but ignored her... he was just about to jump the kid...

 

When Yu walked between them. "Kanji, calm down. We won't get anywhere by accuseing anyone that happens to walk by..." he looked over at the boy who had managed to, quite effectively, piss off Kanji. "Malik Dear, correct? Don't mind Kanji... he can get a little hot headed. " he said, trying to put a middle ground between them. His face suddenly became serious, though. "So... where did you get that key...?" he asked, wanting his suspicions to be confimed...

 

(I wouldn't say that yet. Remember, Kanji met most of the original investigation team chasing them down )

Yosuke sighed. "Yeah you're probably right bro." He said. He watched the confrontation between Kanji and Malik try to get stopped by Yu. Teddy heard Yu say something about a key. "Key ... what key?" Teddy asked curiously.

 

Sekel looked over and slipped his key back into his pocket. "He got that key from a place called The Velvet Room." Sekel said as he walked up to them.

"Sekel don't answer for me, and it's not Dear it's Dean" Mariku said. "Yes I got the key from the velvet room, yes I went into the tv world, and yes I stole a pair of glasses" He answered. "What is it to you anyways Narukami" He asked. "Right now though I am about to go back into the world so I can find out if the person who is the cause of it is in there or not...and Kanji the reason why I didn't deny it is because the one who denies it is the main suspect" He said

Sekel was about to open his mouth to retort when Mariku did most of the talking. Sekel just sighed and waited for everyone's reaction to them both being in the Velvet Room.

"The Velvet Room ... care to explain to us what the Velvet Room is?" Yosuke asked Yu. Yosuke had no idea what the Velvet Room is and what Yu's connection to it is.

Yu winched a little at Yosuke's inquiry... he'd never been told,specifically, not to mention toe Velvet Room to anyone, but he'd sort of taken it as a given... he wondered if he should have brought it up at some point... "Well... the Velvet room is this wierd...limousine. Wait, remember that ghost story I told during the Winter Trip? That's basically it.The big nosed guy, Igor, gave me a contract to 'seek the truth', before the murder even first happened. Its also where Marie lived." He explained. He reached into his back pocket, pulling out a key. "They gave me this to access the Velvet Room, to mix and match Persona's mostly.... I thought I was the only one, but it seems there are other people with access..." 

 

Kanji was a little annoyed... he had been itching for a brawl, actually, and he still wasn't sure what he thought about this kid. "What kind of backward ass-logic is that!? Any normal person would deny being the killer if someone accused them!" He said, already frustrated with this guy.... "Erg... fine Sensei.You wanna trust this guy? I`ll go along with it."  He said, taking a more relaxed stance. Still, maybe him and this Malik guy could have a friendly brawl sometime...

"Okay now I got another quetion, what the hell is a Persona" Mariku asked. "Also Kanji, I'm not normal either" He said

 

"When you entered the Midnight Channel you didn't hear anything that would seem like it was you talking" Naoto asked. "No...didn't hear anything" Mariku replied. "Well if you would have that would be you Shadow, your true elf...." Naoto went on to explain Persona, true self, and everything.

Sekel shook his head. "I didn't hear any voices but then again, I was busy trying to help find an exit out of the TV World." Sekel said. He took out the key from his pocket and showed it to everyone. "Narukami, does this key look familiar?" Sekel asked curiously. He missed Yu's explanation of the Velvet Room.

Mariku face palmed. "Yes he knows and he explained the velvet room also" He said. "And Nato was explaining about the Persona and the tru self....also apparently Marie used to be a resident of the velvet room" He said as he looked a Narukami. "Anything else you can tell me by any chance"

Yu tried to think of anything else to explain... but they'd already been explaine don what the TV world was, and the Velvet Room, strange as it was, was fairly simple... or perhaps he just didn't understand it. "Not that I can think of..." he paused a moment, looking at Yosuke. "I`m sorry that I didn't tell you guys before... I just assumed I wasn't suppose too... did sign a contract after all." he muttered. He then turned to the other boy, Mariku. "So... you're planning on getting to the bottom of this, than?" He asked, curiously. "You might as well join us than. We solved it before, and we're determined to try and do so again."

"if it means stopping then I'll help you out" He said as he looked to the sky. "Besides, a little adventure wouldn't hurt since my parents are not here anyways" He added before looking at Youske. "Also I am sorry about taking these" he said giving Youske the glasses he borrowed.

Yosuke took the glasses back. "It's fine. I'll tell them that you gave them back. Why did you take them anyway?" Yosuke asked the boy. Teddy walked up towards Mariku and Sekel. "Do you two want to help out and fight the shadows?" Yeddy asked them. Sekel just nodded. "YAY! NEW TEAMMATES!" Teddy shouted as he hugged them both.

"I couldn't see i the TV world but Sekel can with his glasses...when I took a pair I could see through the fog" He said. "Also, I will help fight the shadows, I had some training with sword play so it should be no problem to me" He said before being hugged by Teddy. "Is he always like this" Mariku asked

Yosuke just laughed. "Yeah. He's like this with everyone he meets. Well, mainly just us and now you two." Yosuke chuckled. Teddy let go of the boys and sat back down on his seat. "I'm bear-y excited at having new teammates!" Teddy said excitedly.

 

Sekel rubbed his neck and quickly grabbed a few breaths of air. "That is one tight hug." Sekel gasped.

 

Yosuke just smirked. "Better get used to it. He does it a lot."

 

"Hey! I do not!" Teddy said as he crossed his arms.

"Please don't tell me the bear puns are normal" Mariku said as he was catching his breath. "Also...don't hug me so tightly or next time I'll kick you half way across the world" He said, Mariku did not like being hugged so tightly. "I could barely breath"

 

 

"Well you're going to have to get used to it because now you are a part of the Investigation team" Naoto said. "Yep welcome aboard" Chie said
