Broken eyes the sides of the building for shadows or signs of an ambush.

 

"Unknown. Stay under my wing, little Flame. It will give you some protection."

 

Broken turns slightly to angle his imobilized wings toward the building as a shield and starts walking around the building slowly.

 

"In my bag, there is about a day of food for an adult pony. It will last, perhaps, two for a foal. Take it, should these ponies be hostile."

I run up to a barricaded window and peek inside. I cant tell if its a corpse or a pony...But I know somethings in there. "What is that?... Maybe its a corpse... or a pony! Maybe its nice if its a pony..." I whispered to myself.

I run over to broken and stay under his wing. I some food from his bag too. "what if theyre hostile? What do we do then? If they arent are we gonna hurt them?" I start to get worried.

Broken shakes his head and murmurs, "No. I have no wish to harm living ponies."

 

Broken reaches what should have been an intact back door but instead sees parts of the door in splinters and darkness beyond. Not for the first time, Broken wishes he had the basic equipment that the Diarchy provides its soldiers. Even a simple techmaturgical sensor would be helpful.

 

Broken takes a breathe and yells into the building, "Hello! Is there anypony alive inside this building? Please respond. A lack of response will result in hostile action! You have one minute!"

I look up at broken "I saw something inside... Im not sure if it was a corpse or a pony. I heard mumbling but i wasn't too clear. What if there is a pony in there but they're injured? Then they cant answer!"

"If they are injured, then there is no telling if they are infected. If they are dead, then it will not matter. If they are asleep, then we shall scavenge what we need and return later."

 

Broken takes a few steps back from the door and one to the left in case the pony within decides to attack them from the dark.

Missy was scared but she didn't want to be killed by another pony.

She wondered if these were the ponies that tried to kill her earlier, she had no intention of meeting them ever again, though she did kill one of them with her baseball bat, the others had run away.

I stare at the door and then look into the windows "I hope they're okay..." I sigh and start to feel sad. "What if they're dead? I dont wanna take supplies away from dead people!" I start to get teary eyed. "Why did all of this happen anyways?"

"Hello? Is anyone in there? I just want to get some supplies from inside! I don't wanna hurt you! Hey! Maybe we can be friends!" I said very nervously. "There are only two of us. If its okay, We'd like to come in!"

The one that spoke certainly didn't sound like the Canterlot pony that had attacked her earlier.

Missy trotted slowly out of the tent and towards the sound of the voice, she looked around a corner at the ponies in the entrance, they didn't look like the ponies from before. But they were holding guns, so she ran back to the tent.

"Im gonna come in! Alright? Don't shoot!" I tore some wood off of the windows and smashed the glass, but as soon as I smash it a huge cut appeared on my left forearm. "Ow!" I started to stare at the cut and thought "what if I bleed too much then die? Oh no! what if the glass is infected!" I took a bandaid out of my backpack and started putting it on my arm. "Oh no..." I didn't have any more and the wound was starting to bleed very much. "oh no... What do I do..."

Broken sighs and moves over to Flame.

 

"Don't worry, we'll find some medical supplies inside. Just stay under my wing for a bit, they won't be able to tell if you're infected now. Just stay out of sight..."

 

Broken stepped through the door into to the store.

 

"We are entering. Please lay down your weapons."

I move under Broken's wing but as soon as i do is fur pokes my wound. "ow... that stings..." at this point blood as dripping all over the floor. "we should find some medical supplies fast" I put my head against Broken. His fur is surprisingly soft. "Whoa.. for a soldier your fur sure is soft!"

Broken nods, "I was not altered so drastically on the outside. My wings are the extent of those changes."

 

Broken keeps closer to the wall with his unarmored side facing the wall and the front-facing and weapon wings facing the darkness of the store that his eye are adjusting to.

 

"If my memory is correct, the type of supplies we require are deeper in. We will find supplies; worry not, little Flame."

I stay close to Broken with my face is his fur. "Its so soft! Hehe... Time to get serious now I guess... Hold on... are those... tents? on the inside of a store? Should we go see if they're okay!" I started to stare at the dark brown tents. "Maybe there are supplies in there that they dont need?"

Broken turns to look at where Flame is facing. He shifts a bit nervously. The lack of ponies is starting to make him nervous.

 

"This looks like an ambush..." Broken starts turning his ears every which way to try and her anything that would signal an ambush.

"Alright... Lets just get our stuff and leave! I don't want to do this anymore, i'm tired and I don't feel too good..." I looks down at my arm and the trail of blood on the ground. My arm was white. "Uhh... How am I gonna get all the blood back? Am I gonna be okay? I'm starting to feel somewhat sleepy..."

Broken shakes his head and stares at Arial Flame's leg incredulously, "That... is... bleeding much faster than I expected. Climb on. We will find those supplies and treat you, ambush or not."

 

Broken kneels down awkwardly so Flame can climb up without too much difficulty.

Missy peeked out of the tent, they seemed to have guns with them.

She levitated the baseball bat and stepped slowly outside the tent.

"Please, I don't know what you want here, but me and my friends don't want any kind of trouble, we just want to be alive, and not shot if at all possible. So please don't kill us."

I climb up on Broken's back and sit down awkwardly poking at his fur and making sure he doesn't bleed on Broken. "Do you know why all of this started?" I start preening my wings because its seems like its an okay time. "heh... I haven't preened my wings in a while... they were starting to hurt."

I heard the pony and stared "Hello! I'm Flame and this is Broken." I pointed at the Broken who was below me. "We were just getting some things. We don't wanna hurt anypony." I stared at my leg, it wasn't looking so good at all. The blood trail was huge. "Am I gonna be okay Broken?"

Broken spins around and places his wings between the new pony and himself. For a moment, he shifts to aim his weapon wing but before he'd even shifted a few inches he fully takes in the scene. Something in him breaks slightly.

 

"Another foal..." Broken shakes his head, "We mean you no harm. We require medical assistance. I shall return shortly with supplies for myself and my..."

 

Broken pauses to choose his words carefully, "my charge... we can speak when I have taken care of him."

 

Broken turns around to walk deeper into the store and addressed Flame when they have walked out of sight of the foal, "Lift your leg above your head. At the rate you are bleeding, you should be conscious for another half hour before the loss of blood becomes too drastic."

I life my leg over my head. "Ow... hmm... where will i get all the extra blood?" I continued to preen my wings. "Hmm well, over there it says medical-" I spit out a feather from my wings. "medical supplies, sorry." I finished preening and laid my head on Broken's back.

 

(OOC: Hehe... Broken Back. Such Pun. Much laughter.)

Broken looks around for a second and then finds the sign.

 

"I am counting on the medical packs containing some sort of blood replacement."

 

The medical aisle is partially scavenged already. There are entire stretches of shelving that have been stripped bare.

Missy, slowly lowered the baseball bat to avoid the possiblity of getting shot by these new ponies, she wanted to protect her new friends. "If you two want, if you could use a unicorn that is, I could help if you want." Missy said to them, hoping they were both friendlier than the others.

"Im starting to feel a bit weird... my leg doesnt even hurt, i cant even feel it." I start poking at Broken's ears in boredom. I hope there are some blood bags... I don't want to die...." Maybe there will be some food too! And some candy... I've never had candy.

after a quick look around you see that there are medical supplies in the camping section, but its very basic first aid, nothing more than very simple first aid kits and bandages, though they could help with major cuts if a whole entire kit was used

Missy ran over to them and spoke up.

"Where did you cut your leg? It looks bad, quite painful... looks to be from a glass shard, I heard the smashing sound. I have water that you can use to sterilise the wound, and it would be recommended to tie the leg at the top to reduce blood loss."
