At one time you could buy a box set of episodes at Best Buy, it was probably sold at other places but that is where I remember buying my set but it's been a few years ago that I purchased it. Sometimes you can find re-released episodes at places like TRU or walmart, but they might not always have G1 artwork on the outside. My actual G1 box set has G2 ponies on the front (as in G2 toy line ponies, not the commonly mistaken Tales characters) And I do seem to remember seeing some episodes for sale that had G3 artwork on the outside but it was actual g1 episodes at TRU.

YouTube has probably removed most of it by now. Even clips of songs have disappeared over these last years.
