Do Members offline for so long get deleted..?

Hi. ^^

 

So, as you may notice, my username "~Adorkable~" has those little squiggly lines in it, it's kind of annoying. I preferred to have just the name, but unfortunately it was and still is taken. I decided to check out the user, to see if they were active or not, and it turns out they've been inactive for about 2 years, and only made one post.

 

So, I was just wondering, will this inactive user ever be deleted? I mean, it's been 2 years, only 1 post, no signs of life anywhere. Also, it's not just for this member, but just for members in general. Is there a certain amount of time a user has to be inactive for their account to be deleted? Just curious, I would really like to have my preferred username. ^^"

At this moment in time I don't think they do, I've seen members that haven't been active since 2011 when the forums first started and there account's still appear to be active.

In general, we do not delete any user account, not even ones that are permanently suspended. This is because we take a conservative approach to the deletion of content, as we never know when we may need some piece of information in the future. 

 

That being said, administrators are able to change usernames. You should get in contact with one of them to discuss this matter.
