Hive King 2,001 September 8, 2014 Share September 8, 2014 Good example, hadn't thought of that, although we cannot truly confirm he is dead and not just banished to some other plane. And as far as I know, Nightmare Moon never actually KILLED anypony, although eternal night surely would have. There's also the fact that Trixie said she had a torture spell "Aren’t we the same? You know, aren’t you carrying the same mindset as I am? Just because you couldn’t bear to lose, you lost your precious partner! You really call yourself a true duelist? You’re the complete opposite of that!" -Weevil Underwood

Falsey 44 September 8, 2014 Share September 8, 2014 (edited) There's also the fact that Trixie said she had a torture spell True, but torture does not mean kill. Yes, she would. Because it's likely there is other sapient species just like us out there. So Celestia might as well go on a grand crusade to exterminate all imperfect species. Yes, it should, because they technically deserve it. If you kill off humanity the other species that did it MUST DIE! and suffer the same fate, so they can see the irony of their actions and therefore regret doing it in the first place. And there's a fan fiction is where that happens exactly: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/98605/the-conversion-bureau-a-dangerous-precedent Edit: Although if there were ponies that disagreed (neutrals that weren't on either side) with Celestia I would wish them to be spared and possibly undo the xenocide of humanity by magic or something. If Nightmare Moon had won. That means all life on the planet would of died from freezing or staving to death. First of all, it's obvious your argument is one of ideals, not fact. Just because you believe murder must be re-payed in kind, does not make it universal law. Deserving of something is entirely opinion based, and opinion is not something that should be used as though it is fact. Second of all, the Nightmare Moon incident was not a war. It only showed fighting between Celestia, and Nightmare Moon, which is not a war. It's just a one on one fight. Also, I am guessing I haven't mentioned, I only go by FiM canon, and do not give fanfiction any credence. Since all fanfiction follows it's own unofficial canon, and many of them conflict with one another. Lastly, as much as I find this argument amusing, I must admit I never meant that Celestia would commit genocide, in my imagination she would destroy the human race accidentally when she entered our world, due to some massive discharge of energy. Hive King 2,001 September 8, 2014 Share September 8, 2014 True, but torture does not mean kill. Because one is so much better than the other. Someone shooting you in the face is far better than someone shoving bamboo splints up your fingernails. Face facts, ponies are no better than humans "Aren’t we the same? Someone shooting you in the face is far better than someone shoving bamboo splints up your fingernails. Face facts, ponies are no better than humans I wouldn't say that. Keep in mind, Trixie's torture spell was only possible due to her being corrupted and empowered by a magical artifact, the Alicorn Amulet. Anything she did in that state was due to it's corrupting influence. And in the end, she realized what she did was wrong, unlike humans, who have psychopaths who kill and torture for fun, and show no signs of guilt. The closest thing mlp has, are the antagonists, and at least one of them has shown that he can be reformed. In any case, they are very rare cases in Equestrian society, and only ONE so far has even been a pony, and that was king Sombra, who, I might add, never actually killed anypony. Hive King 2,001 September 8, 2014 Share September 8, 2014 @, Let me list ponies who are uncaring pricks Nightmare Moon: Genocidal maniac worse than Mao and Hitler combined, throwing a hissy fit like a child over attention Diamond Tiara: Sadistic bully who seems to have no empathy Sombra: Was about to eat Spike and was torturing ponies left and right while smiling Lightning Dust: Gave absolutely no craps that she almost murdered 5 ponies That's 4 who are evil to the point of simply not being redeemable, if you believe Sunset and Trixie are simply lying to save their sorry hides, that's 6. Considering the real life ratio of murderers and what not, that's pretty high "Aren’t we the same? You know, aren’t you carrying the same mindset as I am? Just because you couldn’t bear to lose, you lost your precious partner! You really call yourself a true duelist? Considering the real life ratio of murderers and what not, that's pretty high None of those examples have ever actually succeeded in murdering anypony. Also, Diamond Tiara isn't really a good example, nor is Lightning Dust. Diamond Tiara is a child, and it's well known that children can be total jerks, some of the worst bullies end up simply growing out of the phase eventually. Lightning dust isn't a murderer, simply a very reckless showoff, she didn't try to kill those ponies, they just happened to get caught up in her nonsense. I'll admit, she's a total jerk, but not an evil, murderous individual. Also, since I do not deal with anything that isn't explicitly stated in the show, I must take Trixie and Sunset at their word, as the show has not yet shown them to be lying. Anyway, I am getting bored of this argument, so, in order to bring this to a close, I admit defeat. Onward to lighter, more cheerful topics! Would you like to play with me?
