A team of nurses brings a gurney up to Volt and loads Seth on it. As he lied there, he blinked his eyes as he found himself back in the labs. The doctors were scientist, who had strapped his filly sized body to table. He felt weak, helpless, doomed. A tear ran down his face as he looked to a certain pegasi approaching him, a grin on her cyan face. Rainbow Dash...

Seth looked in horror at the sight of his dark friend. He looked around him, noticing he was a young pup again, no more than 6 years old.

 

"V-volt...?" he called out, only to receive a harsh shock through his body. After it ended, he looked to the souse. It was two wires leading from nails driven into his paws. The owner of the controls to the shocks was Dash.

 

"Silence, mut!" She ordered as he stopped twitching. "We stole you from your family, and unless you want to die like your brother, then you will comply like the little pet you are!" She demanded. Seth only whimpered, wishing it was over. "Give we the first dose, this pathetic excuse of an animal is more than ready." She took the first vial and prepped it for insertion.

as he spoke Volt injected the black substance on Seth's arm

It was the same pain again, this time within him. A serge of all things hellish and evil, painful and sorrow flooded his brain. Images of young fouls and fillies, tortured, extracted, harvested. His wolven mind was taking all their crippled magical souls and being both tortured and rebuilt by them. As the mind was foreign and not magical, unlike ponies, it was transforming it to what it was used to. He only yelled out in pain, the pain of a tortured soul.

"Da... i mean Miss Dash... maybe... maybe we should stop with that, i mean... we killed enough ponies... we shouldn't do that to this one too..."

 

Dash raised her eyes to Volt, and suddenly she jumped on him landing him on the ground and putting a scalpel near his neck

 

"remmeber what i did to your 'friend'? remmeber about your father? you are failing him right now Volt"

Seth's reaction to the first injection was beginning to subside as his mind gave way to the augmentation. As his screams turned into light whimpers, he looked looked to Volt and Dash.

 

Dash, seeing the weakened wolf stop twitching and yelling, got off Volt. "Now let me finish this, or is that ok with you?" She sneered. Picking up the syringe, she pierced it into Seth's other arm. This time, it wasn't pain, but awareness. What had been plagued and shoved into his mind before was now becoming clear. Abundantly clear. Around him there were ponies. During the first injection, they were just existent, but now... they were aware of him. Voices filled his mind as the tried to reach out to the wolf. Voices of pain.

 

"No... no... I can't help you!" He yelled out loud.

His eyes opened in the real world, although they were staring at nothing. "I can't help you! I can't..." He yelled.

Volt yelled jumping on the hopsital bed hugging his friend

 

"DOWN FROM THERE!" Nurse red heart yelled back hitting him with her hoof

"ugh sorry nurse.. it is just.. SETH! YOU ARE BACK!"

 

Volt shouted again hugging the wolf

 

"i can't belive this... now get out from here you silly blue pegasus.. your friend needs lot more cares and exams... why the hay he has a rainbow eye?"

Seth couldn't feel or hear anything other than the voices. 

"Help me...

Save us...

We were doomed because of him!

I thought we were were close..."

 

The voices of the dead, calling out to him now. It was maddening. As his vision escaped the lab, it turned to the hospital. However, the young ponies stayed. When he saw Volt, the voices cried out in deafening screams.

 

"Volt...he...

We didn't have a chance...

It was just another days harvesting for him..."

 

Seth immediately dived out of the gurney, hitting the floor. With a panicked expression, tried to crawl away. "No... Get away... don't harm us any more! Let us die in peace!"

Volt said shivering

 

"we need to give him morphine! now!"

 

"i'll take a syringe!"

 

as Volt spoke he walked near Seth, but just before injecting him the morphine, he turned around hitting the nurse on her neck

 

"whh..a ahh"

 

He took her just before falling on the ground and lied her on the gurney

 

"s..sorry nurse.."

 

as Volt spoke he turned to his friend

 

"i don't know what is going on Seth.. but here there is no cure for you.. we need to sneak back to my lab, as soon as possible!"

The voices were winning over his already hurt and exhausted mind. Each voice was a different pony. It was if the collective of the ponies that suffered were now trapped within him, their souls burring themselves into his mind.

 

"Stay back!" Seth yelled. "Stay...back... Stay..." With all that had happened, he had no energy left to fight. As he fell into unconsciousness, his mind opened to the souls.

Volt yelled bringing his hooves on his head

 

"Luna what the hell... what did i do to him?? "
 

without thinking Volt bucked open the door, and brining Seth over his back he started trotting toward the other side of the town at huge speed, hoping that nopony saw him, after exiting the town, he opened his wings taking off, leading again toward the dam

 

"i .. maybe.. the spectra.. Luna help me... i need to remove it.. but how? it is part of his body now! i can't ! arghhh what have i done? WHAT THE HELL HAVE I DONE??"

As Volt took off with Seth's broken body, his mind lingered as it tried to recover from all that had happened.

Seth soon found himself in a dark plain of existence, however he was not alone. He was sitting before a crowd of bleeding, hurt, mangled ponies. All were pegasi, however few had wings. They all stared at him as he did to them. It was haunting the way they just... watched him.

 

"W...who are you?" He asked the crowd.

 

A small filly with a bright yellow mane and tan cote walked up. "We are those...that didn't make it out of the factory." She spoke.

 

"Why are you attaching me?" He asked next.

 

"Your 'friend'," Another pony scoffed. "Tortured you, breaking your mind. We came as to heal your mind and soul. We didn't have any choice. Your wolven mind can preserve our existence...with some side effects."

 

"The side effects being?" Seth demanded.

 

"We now share your mind... and body." A filly said, cowering under the wolf.

 

"There is nothing you can do Seth... there is only your new existence."

 

With that, the world faded out.

 Volt landed on the top of the dam, bucking open the door he runned to his room, putting Seth in a bed near his cloud

He yelled starting digging in all the blueprints, after a while, he found an old, dusty and blooded diary

Dash is mad... today she "promoted" a guy from the lower factory... Volt or some shit... why the hell do we need an electronic engineer up here? Bah.... i hate him.. i hate his face... he looks so happy and filled with dreams... and he seems to love his job as well.. he will get insane very soon.. or he will turn into a monster.

 

Anyway today we started working to the project Nova-Rainbow, as already mentioned this proj....

Today i have been moved to this newly built laboratory... very impressive... Dash didn't want to spare bits in this.. i have everything to continue my researches... i still need to find a way to trigger the reaction... but.. now i see why Dash wanted that electronic engineer... he is clearly shocked... i belive that Dash made her "presentation"... i hope he will be able to work.. we need those lasers as soon as possible... i can't afford to keep killing failures without results

Great news! A stupid stallion tried to save his daughter AH! will you belive that? He followed his daughter to the factory... that is plain stupid.. anyway.. today Volt gave me the protoype of the laser... way bigger than what i espected... he worries me.. he didn't sleep for a week.. one of his eyes looks... like.. alive.. strange... and he keeps talking using the plural.. poor guy... anyway... we will test the procedure on this stallion, his body will react better than the other fillies, to do so, we already chopped down one of his legs, let's hope this works

With the sudden drop of the book, Seth's eyes flew open, but they were not his own. His right eye had turned to a greyish purple, although his right was still rainbowed. He sat up in a cold sweat with a yell. If one was listening, it sounded like Seth screamed like a girl. He sat up, grasping his body. "Where... where am I!?!" He yelled, still sounding somewhat feminine.

The wolf looked up to meet volt, the sweating increasing. "Who's...Seth?" He asked, looking to his paws. His eyes went wide in fear. "Wh...what have you freaks done to me?!? I'm a...a dog?" He yelled. He tried to back away from Volt, burring himself in the corner of the room. Curling himself into a fuzzy ball, the wolf buried his head into his chest. If one was silent, you could here him whimpering.

The wolf looked up, but tears of sorrow and pain in her eyes. He kept looking at his paws, then to Volt.

 

"...you...you aren't... one of them?" He asked, still sounding feminine. "...my name...is Lightning Chaser... And of corse I'm a pony!" She yelled with pain/sadness. "Until they...they...they ripped my wings off...They killed... Mile..." She whimpered. The wolf then lied on the ground,sobbing. "I'm so sorry... Mile, I'm so sorry..."

"They tour off my wings... then they lowered me into...into... the machine! I... I can't remember what happened... only there were voices... and... a...w-wolf..."

Volt slipped on the ground near the wolf, he then hugged his/her neck
