"ngh.. weeell.. nowasays ponies engages in a single constant relationship, but in the past, or some less 'civlized' zones ponies lives in herds, and usually there is only one dominant stallion with a little Harem with him... maybe there are some less 'powerfull' stallions with him, but probably they will never have the chanche to mate.. personally.. i never had a serious relationship... always work first eh... i have been a bit.. open... when i was jounger and still living at Cloudsdale.. but nothing serious.. just... fun.. eh.. eh.."

Seth nodded, satisfied with the answer. "Shall we get down to the turbines? I rather not have to explain to ponyville that they wont have power because of a grudge between a pony and a company as well as wolves wanting war." Seth said with a smile. He looked to the half destroyed shaft. "Will this thing even run?"

Volt said touching the panel and powring the elevator, that after some cranky noises, started to fall at high speed

Volt yelled as the platfrom gained speed, ending its run on the floor destroing in pieces

As Seth felt the floor escape from beneath him, he began howl. "VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLT!" He yelled, until the falling ended. With a sudden stop, he felt his newly healing bones crunch on the broken metal floor.

 

"Volt... I really hate you..." He moaned, resting his head on a broken girder.

Seth moaned at the comments. "It's a little hard to like flying when every time I fly I nearly get killed. At least the spectra helps with the repairs..." Seth groaned, standing up. "If It weren't for it, I would be more than dead right now..." He climbed out of the shaft and into the room they landed it.

The hurting wolf looked to Volt as he finally climbed out of the destroyed box. "We are here to check the turbines to get power online. After we do that, I'm running to the everfree while you see if you can get a good way for me to look like a pony." He reminded, looking around at the floor they were on. Thankfully, the elevator had stopped (crashed) on the main generator level.

Looking around, Seth noticed the wrecks. He began to remember the initial attacks of the terrorists, but the battle never took place here. "Well... you think we will be able to get at lease one or two online? No offence, but if they are badly damaged, we can't really do a thing about it. The best we could do is get some backup generators online for the town if these things fail."

"those alternators, that's the correct word but who bloody cares, are directely connected to the turbines under there by a big rotating metal rod... called Axle... this beasts looks fine"

 

Volt said turning to the big green machines in the middle of the room, covered by a falled Catwalk and junks felt from the ceiling

 

"i am looking for a panel so i can check the structural integrity of the turbines under here before opening the hatches for water to flow.. if the turbines are damaged, water will exit from here, first electrocutting us and then giving the final push for the dam to fall, so yep... ehm.. can you give me an hoof trying to locate it? it should be under here.. if only i had a bucking light"

Seth gave a smile to the pony. "Well, I don't... think I have a light, but I might be able to spot it. Wolves equals night vision." Seth tried to squeeze under the rubble in an attempt to fine what remained of a control panel. After a bit of digging, he found the panel a bit banged up, but just a little damage. "Hey V, I found it!"

"oh ok!  i can't see shit so listen carefully! there should be a key inserted somewhere, switch it from the on position to the 'main fuse test' position, it is on the other side of the off position, there should be a small light indicator on the top of it, if it turns green, then press the 'auxiliary power' button and while keeping it pressed, switch the key to the on position, if it is all right we should hear an air siren, in that moment i will open the hatche with the manual overdrive.. if i can locate the damn valve of couR.SE OUCH! "

"O....k?" Seth said, hopefully getting what he heard right. He found the key and turned it to the test position, then looked around for the right button. There were at least a dozen across the control panel, some buried from the rubble. After a second, he found the right switch and pressed it. It didn't go in. He tried again, still wouldn't go in. Even with more force, there was nothing. Finally, it annoyance on his side, he punched the rubber ^button, keeping it pressed. He then turned a the key, regretting that he did. The shrill sound of the  alarm pounded against his ears. "Damn these industrial grade sirens!"

Volt litteraly swimming in the junk and concrete pieces, reached the big red valve, trying to move it with all of his hooves and theeth

 

"c..ccome on!! COME OUOOOOOOOOOOO!"

 He yelled as he found himself spinning around WITH the valve, after some cranky noises, the sound of water flowing danced with the sound of the siren, which soon stopped, after a while the big machines started humming and shaking, neon lights turned on

 

"g..good job.. now we need to fix the transformers so we can send the energy down to ponyville.... ehm.. an hoof? i am stuck... sigh.."

Seth climbed out of the pile of trash as he held his head in pain. "Volt, ever heard of strobing lights? Those work just as good as your fucking airhorns." He said, walking over to the pegasus. With his teeth, he pulled the pony out by the back of his neck as a father would a pup. "So where are the transformers?"

Seth shook his head, trying to get the last of the ringing out of my head. "Well, I don't mind being your nom toy every once and a while, but truthfully... I don't have any plans anymore." Seth said, walking for the exit. "I have found that life likes to punish those who try to plan ahead. I try to go into politics, i get blown to hell. I try to work at a dam with a friend, I get mutated. I have seen it all Volt. I'm over 1000 years old. I'll let life do as it may on me now. At this point, I don't really mind the concrete walls. Plus, it's with you." Seth finished with a smile.

Seth smiled at his friend as they made their way out of the crippled structure. As they walked, Seth tired to think of anything else he would want to be doing.

 

"Well...I really don't have much other than you and the others.... Ever since the bombing and the rampage, I was closed off from the empire. I have been living in a mountain cave for the past... wow, I can't even remember how long it has been. Truth is, this is heaven to be with you Volty. It really is."

Seth looked at his friend with a quizzical smile. "Volt, I'm not sure if I should be honored or insulted." He laughed a bit. "Well... no. Frankly... this is something that would be good for me. If normal life is mostly laid back with the occasional work hauls, then that's a beautify life in it's self. I have already fulfilled my destiny, Volt. I brought my nation to peace. My work here is done. Unless you plan on giving me wings in the next Seth upgrade, then my life is rather perfect." Seth said with a smile.

"i didn't accomplish anything.. i managed to disabilitate a laboratory meant to turn ponies into weapons trough tortures yes.. after being a gear in the infernal machine under there... i didn't even had the chanche to show the world what they did up at Cloudsdale with Spectra... they simply stopped it.. and turned into a killing free system... using free dontaions of blood by pegasi... and the world didn't care.. almost nopony knows the truth of what the factory was like... maybe it is better this way.. all the other races would murder verysingle pegasus in sight if they knew.. but still... i am a failure myself.. i didn't get to help those poor fillies.. and i ended up becaming a monster as well... all i can do now.. is working here and living each day as it flows... which is not a bad thing.. no thoughts, no regrets, just a wonderfull work... but i feel like i miss something in my life, that's all"

 

Volt ended taking up a roken pipe and slowly walking toward the door

Seth looked to his frequent with a compasionet smile. "Volt, you are a great pony. Don't you dare sell your self for less. You are a genius when it comes to tech, you are always there for a friend, and you can lighten up any situation. If you are really only the pony you say you are, then why would I consider you my brother? You saved my life time and time again, gave me my arm and eye back, and saved a fucking town!" Seth said, giving a playful punch to the pony's side. "Frankly, you have done more than I have."
