Seth blushed at the kiss, and returned the gift with one to Volt's cheek. She then nuzzled against the stallion, enjoying the softness of his fur.

 

"Volt, when I met you at the bars after those long days at the dam, I thought you as just another drunk I would have to push off my floor. Now, now that I truly know you Volt, I wouldn't let you out of my sight. We have each been their for each other. We each have helped the other fight off their most prominent problems. We know each others lives. What I'm trying to get at is, thank you Electron Volt. Thank you for the wonderful life." She said, nuzzling deeper into his fur.

"m..meh.. i.. i did nothing Sethy.. really.. my life hasn't been one of the bests until i have met you.. really.. after the corporation... i saw the dam like a self prison i was worth of... but now.. now that i have met you.. i know that my life starts now... and i am the one who really should thank you Sethy.."

 

as he spoke, volt noticed the forest wrapping around them, the sun slowly setting, still blinkingtrought the trees and hitting the couple, leaving patterns of light on their bodies

 

"ehi Sethy.. give me one of those diamonds, i will show you something that only pegasi of cloudsdale knows"

Seth took out one of the crystals out from her bag, finding on of the more pure ones. Handing it to the pony, she looked at him with a curious expression. "And what can a pegasi of Cloudsdale do, other than be an awesome friend?" Seth asked, looking to him. "Also, if we are to convince ponies I'm a female, I doubt Sethy is going to fool anyone."

the pegasus took the diamond

 

"this is the little secret of the engineers of Cloudsdale"

 

Volt did a small cut on his hoof with the tip of the diamond, turning it he let a couple of drops of blood on it

 

"and now.."

 

without finishing the phrase, the blue pegasus bolted trought the trees, lifting himself in the sky, soon he was chasing around all the small clouds he could find, placing them in a single spot and pressing one against the others

 

"uhm it looks condensed enough"

 

then, he proceded on placing the blooded diamond upside down on the top of the cloud, flying backward he returned to the wolf

 

"and now.. look!"

 

soon, a ray of lights hiited the diamond, decomposing the light, the blood reacted to it, and soon, a colorfull, rainbow rain, was falling down from the cloud trough the trees, covering both Volt and Seth

 

 "and this.. is the secret of the pegasi of Cloudsdale and the reason why our rainbows are liquid instead of being just light!"

 

he closed his eyes letting his mane being covered in the rain

Seth looked up at the rain, enjoying the wetness on his coat. It felt relaxing to feel something cool on her body. It was beautiful. "So, in essence, your blood can make something this beautiful? Wow..." She said, pressing her wet furry body against Volts. "You didn't do this just to see me wet, did you?"

"pegasi controls the weather Sethy... magic flows in our blood.. you should know.. from.. the Spectra incident... a crystal is able to decompose white light into the rainbow colors, if it hits a pegas's blood.. it will turn into Spectra.. aka... liquid rainbows... bah.. cutting the gibblerish"

Seth smirked at her friend. "You always find an interesting way to get some nice views at me." She said, enjoying the rain. Seth let out her tong as to enjoy the taste of the liquid rain. "Hmm, almost as good as my rainbow blood." I joke. With a devious smile, I lick at your face, tasting the rainbow water.

"Well.. rainbows are usually a bit spicy.. i guess that that's why... sooo... shall we go? i mean.. it will get dark very soon and we still need to build the device.. or do you prefer to enjoy the forest at night?"

 

Volt said smirking, taking off to take back the diamond, as he did, he bucked away the cloud which dissipated, returning to his friend, Volt rubbed the diamond on his coat, cleaning it from the blood, and hanging it to Sethy

Seth took the diamond and tossed it with the others. Looking up at the sky, Seth also noticed the lack of light. "Well, I thought we could just relax and rest our bodies for one night." She commented, knowing that after living through what should have killed them, they deserved a bit of relaxation. "Wanna go back to the dam and call it a night?"

Seth looked to volt with caring eyes. "Anywhere is great as long as you are there volt. However, I have seen this forest at night. Wolves are supposed to be the apex predictor. Well, that rule is ignored in these woods at dark. Let's get back to the dam and get some rest. Nearly dieting takes a lot out of a wolf. Plus..." Seth started, then stopped, blushing.

"you are quite romantic Sethy, i wonder if this is just your condition by now or if you always had this soft side i alwyas ignored"

"plus the night and darkness really seems to be your place actually... the moonlight shining on your fure makes you look quite beautifu.... i mean.. you look very nice Sethy....."

Seth turned to the pony with a caring face. "Volt, it would be my pleasure to howl with you." He she said, giving the winged pony a slight bow. "Oh, and this time I'll let you fly me up with you on top this time." She said with a smirk and allowed Volt to get on to her. "Ready?"

"Well I hope not to see it." Seth said, gripping to her loyal friend. Looking down, her muscles tensed up. However, as she looked up at the strong stallion carrying her, she relieved some of that tension. Calming her breath, Seth took in what it was like to fly. the freeness of the surroundings, the rush of air, and the almost limitless potential of where to go next. "Wow... this....this is beautiful..." She said, nuzzling into volt.

the blue pegasus head the dam in sight, but instead of landing it, he proceded above it, flyig few meters from the water line on the higher side, they could both see theirself on the mirror like surface of the lazy and calm water, while the moon was bringing its light above all of them

Looking at her reflection, Seth slowly lowered a paw into the water, enjoying the feel of the coolness against his fur as he was pulled over it. He then looked to the reflection of Volt, seeing him power through the air. "Volt, how could I not trust you?  Through all out friendship, you have been there time and time again. You might say you caused some of the worst things... but that doesn't matter! That was him, not you Volt. You are the brave, honorable, noble stallion I...I-I love..."

Volt said losing a bit of altitude and letting without wanting Sethy's paws get soakedin the mirror like surface of the water, he soon gained altitude again

 

"f..for me.. is... is the same.. " Volt said blushing wildly and trying to look away from the wolf

 

he then slowly gained more altitude, looping in the air, and pointing back toward the dam

 

"it.. it is better if i land...  i don't enjoy much the idea of having to swim back to the shore eh eh.."

Seth looked away from her friend the entire rest of the flight. She couldn't face him after what she just said. As they continued to fly, Seth could feel Volt's nervelessness over the situation. When they finally landed, Seth put some distance between her and the pony, still not making eye contact.

 

"So... still want to howl?" She asked, a bit quietly.

Volt turned his head at the wolf, then at the moon, smiling he turned back again, walking closer to Sethy, slowly placing an hoof on her shoulder

 

"but of course Sethy! i am so locking forward to it! but first.. there is something tecnical we must to fix.."
