"ehm.. i. i am glad you like it... really..  sorry for the flag.. i.. i don't know anything about your empire.. and your traditions.. heck i would be so bucking happy to listen to them in front of a cup of coffee! if.. if you mind of course... but.. what you meant about a 'mate'?"

 

Volt asked quite curios

 

"so.. before we start wasting Cloudsdale's time eheh.. would you like this coffe or not? the kitchen is actually the last 'private' part of the facility you still have to see.. all the rest is dedicate to the operation of the dam itself.. it is just at the end of the corridor.. it is quite empty right now.. and sorry... at Ponyville.. they were creppied hen i asked about meat...."

The wolf smiled at the pony with a caring smile.

 

"You picked the right flag. It honor the Wolfpack more than the Empire anyway." He said, looking back at the flag. "I could use that coffee if you still are offering it.

 

"And about the mate thing, I was just curious if you strapping young pegasus had a fair partner to match. You're smart, kind, funny. Any mare would be over you in a heart beat, or at least a wolf." Seth said with a chuckle.

 

"Also, if you are willing to make some good coffee, I'll tell you all you want to know about the wolves."

Volt laughted opening the door of a messy and rusty old kitchen

 

"even if that was true, it is kinda hard for a pony who worked in a factory on the sky, then was closed in an underground lab, and that now live INSIDE a dam, to get a mare am i right?"

 

Volt turned on an oven, filling an old Mokka with coffee powder and water

 

"i bet that they say weird stories about 'the blue dam pegasus' down in Ponyville eh eh.. well.. my life has been so weird that they can actually be true.. after all,,,  a rainbow's tail isn't quite as nice as the stories of sugar and spices right?"

 

Volt said with a strange and sadic smile, while his eyes turning smaller; he suddenly shocked his head

 

"i mean... not much ponies see my around.. so.."

 

The mokka started to blurp and send the charateristic noise, volt poured some black coffee over two small cups, hanging one to Seth

 

"i am very curios about the wolven empire... how is it relationed with Equestria and Grhyphons?"

Seth took the cup and sat at the counter. "Bro, you could easily land a mare. Call me an old romantic, but if I were a mare, I'd be wanting to nuzzle up in those feathery wings every night. Don't ever say you are not good enough."

 

He took a sip, feeling the warmness travel down his system.

 

"As for the empire, well it's quite different than Equestria on the griffons. We are purely based off honor and loyalty. At the formation of the empire roughly 1250 years ago, we even were peaceful. Us wolves act as a whole, only a ruler to push us in a general direction. It is an effective system all in all. However, now adays, I... distrust the Empire... but I rather not go into that." He finished, a cold expression on his face as he took another sip from the cup.

Volt noticed the sudden coldness

Volt looked at the cup, and emptied it in  a single gulp

Seth looked to his pony friend, his cheeks turning ever so slightly crimson. "Hey, I'm just telling you the truth. Plus, I'm a war-wolf; if I did have a crush on you, I would be the last to know. I was raised in combat and never had a lesson in romance, so, ya." He said with a sheepish grin.

 

"As for the coils, I would love to see them. All I ask is you don't burn my fur, it's hell having it to regrow." Seth said again as he stood up. He finished off the coffee and washed the glass out. The wolf then proceeded to fallow Volt to the door.

 

"Oh, and about the wolf world thing, it doesn't bug me too much. You would be the first pony I told."

Volt siad pocking Seth's chest above the heart

Volt opened the kitchen door, and he noticed for a second, a shadow moving away from one of the windows in the turbine room, but he didn't took notice

 

"so.. we have to take another elevator to go down there, it is right near the bedrooms in this corridor, we are on the otherside of the dam now!"

 

Volt said pushing jumping in the protection-less elevator

 

"watch your tail to not be grinded on the sides.. this is ment just for material and not for ponies eh eh..."

"Electrocution... Well, just show me how far back to stand." Seth said. "By the way, I hope my are won't turn me into a lighting rod." He said as he entered the shaft. He flicked his tail over so it was in the center of he lift.

 

"Hey, quick question. How many elevator do you have around his place?" He asked in slight interest. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the movement. Steadying his view on he space, he only found nothing. He shook his head as he turned to volt.

 Volt pushed the button, and the elevator started to move

 

"eh plenty enough. but there are only three important ones, this one, the twin one on the other side, which is the first we used, and the one to the top of the... what the hay???"

 

The elevator stopped suddenly and the lights turned off, Volt was pushed to the ground by the sudden deceleration

 

"what in the name of Luna is going on?? this elevator never had a problem! and the light too! "

 

Volt opened the control box and placed his hoof over a wire

 

"no electricty! this.. this is impossible! It never happened before!"

"So... There's no power in a hydro-electric dam?" Seth asked after standing up. He too had taken a fall to the sudden stop. He looked around the shaft for a way out. "Well, if you need it, I always carry a welder on me"

 

Displaying his robotic arm, a small metallic hose protruded through the synthetic skin. After it was fully extended, the end of it ignited with a blue flame.

 

"After our last little adventure, I added a few gadgets to the arm. I was hoping you would want to take a welder to it and see what you could add." He said, admiring the appendage.

Volt looked at Seth in the darkness, his eye and arm glowing

 

"UMPF! FUNNY! something bad happened! it is not possible! there are six turbines! it is ipossible that all generators broke down! and put away that stuff... i got this with no brute force..."

 

Volt bucked the control panel destroying the plastic cover, he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, he then placed his hoof on the wires and expirating his cutie mark gloved as his hoof discharged a small quantity of electricty, the elevator started to move.

 

Volt grinned and started to sweat trying to stay focused on his arm, he then stopped as the elevator reached again the original place

 

"... eh... *pant* see?  no.. brute force..."

 

he jumped out to the shaft and approached the door on the corridor to the main turbine room, but he noticed with horror it was blocked

 

"WHAT THE HAY IS GOING ON?? THIS DOOR DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A LOCK! "

 

Volt started to bump on the door

 

"damn it! ok Seth.. now your gadgets may be usefull.. Inspector GadgeSeth eh eh..."

 

Even on the situation he couldn't hold himself on the stupid joke

Seth exteguished the torch as he stepped out of the elevator. As he looked at the door and his friend bashing himself against it.

 

"Well, obviously something is up." He commented as he approached the door. Putting on his glasses again, he ignighted the torch. "You might want to look away." He warned as he began to cut at the seams at the door. He kept his eyes on his work, but his mind was prossessing everything going on.

 

"So, are there any terrorist groups targeting places like this?" He asked his friend. "I know of one group... But they are long gone." At this point, he was nearing having the door open.

Volt said turning putting on his wielder's glasses

 

"what the hell Seth! the only ponies who wanted me dead are dead ad gone so far at the cloudsdale weather corporation! so far they are rainb.. i mean, they are no more! who the hell can have some interest on jeopardizing an electric dam!? this electricty is provided just to Cloudsdale!.. i mean.."

 

suddenly Volt's mind was filled with an horrible thought

 

"the.. the main room... i let it unlucked.. they.. they can flood Ponyville!... but.. nah this is impossible.. i am sure there are no terrorists and stuff.. i am sure.. yes.. maybe something felt on the door..."

Seth felt the door begin to bend due to the lack of support. "Well... I can tell you this. Something doesn't want us getting to the other side of this." Finally, the door gave way with a heavy clang as it came to a rest on the ground. With a hefty shove, he was able to topple the opening in. What met the two on the other two made his fur go cold.

 

Changelings. At least a dozen of them. They had filled the mess hall and now staring at them. Seth stared back.

 

"Volt... I think you have some old friends..." he said in a calm manner.

About a meter away from the door was a dark grey wolf clad in armor.

(It's the best I could find on short notice)

 

One one shoulder, there was a gold emblem that Seth wasn't familiar with. The wolf stared at Seth. Seth stared back.

"{Brother?}" Seth called to the wolf who was glaring at him.

 

"{You are not my brother, Eclipse!}" It barked back. "{You barley hold the right to call yourself a wolf!}"

Volt stared at the scene, his heart bumping like a v8 engine, his mane turning almost white while his eyes shacking, his back shivered noticing not the wolves, but their armor

 

"those.. those.. armors.. the material... i..i i destroied them! the plans for them what.. who.. "

 

Volt's eyes stopped on the emblem on their shoulders, a cloud with the three industrial complex with wings, the symbol of the organization who stole his life

 

"the..the.... the Cloudsdale ...weather... corporation... on.. wolves??? what.. what is going on??? what WHAT IS THIS?!??"

 

Volt yelled in complete panic

 

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!?! STOP BARKING AND TELL ME!!"

 

Volt shouted at Seth grabbing his arm and shaking it in almost desperation

 

"TELL ME!! WHO ARE THOSE WOLVES?? WHY THEY HAVE THOSE ARMORS!!"

Seth threw off volt from his arm as he walked up to the wolf.

 

"{How dare you insult a high alpha!}" He growled.

 

"{A high alpha that was banished by his own kin.}" The wolf scoffed, holding it's ground.

 

"{Who are you?}" Seth demanded, a growl building in his throat.

 

As he asked, the door to the kitchen opened to reveal more wolves. These ones were armed with tasers.

"{I doubt you are in a position to make requests.}" The first armored wolf said.

Volt loocked back at the wolf with a shocked face, but his attention was  captured by the new upcoming wolves

 

"... what?? WHAT THE HELL IS GOIG ON HERE?? Who are all of those wolves?? WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY DAM!?!? THIS IS CLOUDSDALE'S PROPRIETY! YOU ARE NO ALLOWED TO BE THERE! LEAVE THIS VERY FACILITY IMMEDIATELY!"

 

Volt yelled at the wolves with tasers, trying to look menancing and opening his wings

 

"LEAVE NOW and you will not be harmed my Cloudsdale's fighters! If you don't leave i will be forced to call them! leave! NOW!! "

The first armored wolf looked to Volt with a slight grin.

"Pathetic pony." He growled. "You have no power over us. If it weren't for our employares explicit instructions not to kill you, I would gut you like the cowered you know yourself to be."

Seth barked in defiance as he advanced on him. "Who are you and how do you know us?"

"The true wolves of the empire, not that a reject like you would know us." He explained. The armed woles advanced on the two, their tasers ready for attack.

Volt landed in front of Seth, beetwenn the two wolves, he opened wide his legs and wing, pawing the ground with his hoof and snorting

 

"go on and get me with your silly cattle prods... this is typical of the company... that's ther problem.. they never learn from their mistakes... 'state of art tecnology' they call it "

 

Volt spitted in the ground right in fron of the wolf

 

"i call it medioeval shit, they are so close minded they even hired wolves! What are your plans? steal a Cloudsdale's facility for revenge? Pathethic!!!"

The first wolf glared at the pony's threat. "They said that you were stubborn. So be it. Shut him up." He said, calling to his wolves. They advanced on the pony, tasers pointed at him.

 

"By the way..." The first started. "These aren't exactly the normal tasers. These drain power from you." He sad with a grin. With a wave of his paw, the wolves charged at Volt, the tasers hitting his fur.

"WAIT WHAAAAAAAAARGHHHH!!!"

 

Volt screamed as the tasers hit him, his face contracted into a grimace of pain as his eyes closed, he could feel all of his energy, all of his electricty , being sucked away from his hooves, then his chest, his wings; his coat turning a gryesh blue and the yellow in his mane turning almost white, his cutie mark almost dissapeared, leaving only a slight trace.

 

Volt felt on the ground exauhst, the last spark of electricty shocked beetween two tufts of his mane

 

"i.. ihhll guess... that they.. learnt....eh eh.."

 

Volt said with a smile while lying imobilized on the ground, he then closed his eyes losing consciusness

Seth watched in shock as his friend was taken down without a fight. "VOLT!" He screamed as the pegasus fell. While the other wolves were distracted, Seth changed at their leader. The first wolf looked up, only to e bet by a metal fist making contact with his face.The wolf was sent back a few meters, immobilized. The victory was short-lived as the others turned towards the aggressor. With their electric staffs held high, they were ready for the attach. Seth only manged to get a few feet before he felt all of Volt's energy being forced into his body. He fell to the ground in pain as the strobes of energy clashed across his system. With the amount of energy building, his arm overloaded. The appendage exploded into a shower of sparks, only leaving a stub of wires where the arm used to be. Finally, his body gave up. Seth blacked out from the pain, the last thing he saw was a pony advancing on the two bodies.

Volt slowly opened his eyes, how much time he slept, he didn't know

he flickered his eyes trying to look aroundm but he couldn't see anything but darkness, his head was hurting as hell, his body so weak was almost refusing to answer to his requests of movement

 

"where... where.. am i? what.. what happened? is this.."

 

Volt felt his back hooves cold, really cold, he tried to move them feeling wet

 

"w..water... i guess.. they know.. everything about me then..."

 

he noticed that his hooves were inside a basin filled with water and a ground wire; Volt's mind was took by a big schock when he remmbered of Seth, he then started yelling as mich as ahe could

 

"SE.. SETH!! WHERE ARE YO*cough cough* SETH..seth...where.. where are you.... "

 

Volt's voice faded away

Seth slowly opened his eyes... well, one eye. The bionic eye was not responding. As he slowly became conscious, he noticed there was a significant burning feeling across his upper chest. When his eye finally adjusted to the light, he noticed he was in cage. Giving slight movement to his neck, he looked to his chest to see what was burning. What he saw woke him up completely; his entire left arm was gone and his upper chest was burned from the explosion. Where his stub rested, there was a pool of what he figured was a sort of fluid from his arm. Looking into his reflection, he noticed his bio-eye had shattered from the electricity surge. Electricity...

 

"Volt..." He moaned, his throat not able to go any higher. He remembered now. Volt was attacked. But where was he?

Volt heard a familir voice in the darkness

 

"S..seth? are you there? are.. are you ok?  where are we?"

 

Volt tried to move his wings, hoping they will respond to his will better than the rest of his body, but he was stopped by a sudden sting

 

"YARRGhhh what.."

 

Volt's eyes slowly started to adapt to the darkness, but he prefered to not see what he just saw, he was hanging down the ceiling, kept away from the ground by hooks on his feathers,  small gutter of blood coloring red hiw blue wings

 

Volt gasped in shock, only to be forced to cough again, he tried to move, but every movement was followed by pain, in fron of him there were a caged Wolf

 

"Seth... where... what happened?... i.. i can't move... are.. are you ok?..."

 

Volt noticed some wires hanging in front of him, his first instinct was to bite them, as he did his hopes where shattered more

 

"no.. no electrictiy.. they shutted down everything... how can some wolves know me so well... Seth... what is going on? why did they have those armors.. why.. the Corporation logo?... How do they know my weakness?.. and.. most of all..."

 

Volt paused to catch breath, as he did, he felt like the air was burning inside his troath

 

".. how can.. we break free.. from here... i... i can't even breath..."
