A Trance song I've been working on for a while

So I've been working on this for about 2 months, which I worked on for 48 hours (the actual time I took):

Nice vocal editing/chopping, holy crap.

 

- 0:58, that transition was a bit loud compared to the rest of the song.

- By like, 1:30ish what we've seen so far is beginning to lose it's welcome. Would be nice to do a major modulation at this point or throw in something new or strip something back.

- When the vocals are in a higher register they become pretty thin and weak. I think there's possibly phase canceling/clash with the upper register of your synth or the hi-hat line.

- 4:08 ooooh this is throwing me for a loop. I like the idea behind it.

- Your synths could do with a little more beef. Which is gonna throw the decent mixdown off, but they're a little weak now. Better than most songs I hear from amateur brony artists, but a little layering with some extra saw waves or something would elevate the song from decent to WOW.

- 4:40ish the vocals are virtually impossible to hear at times. Automate the mix, gate/sidechain the vocals against the synth maybe.

 

Again, freaking nice vocals. How did you do that, if I can ask? I'm god awful at vocal processing myself.

 

EDIT: Okay whoops, just realized it's a remake. I'd have to go ask JayB about the vocals.

Oh it's barely anything. It's not something extremely hard. I just grabbed a few of JayB's MID files for the song and I made some synths and made everything else.
