planning In a World of Monsters and Robots, You Are The Tiny Horse

Alright, I had an idea for a role-play at the beginning of the month, fairly well-formed in terms of development, but I'm new to this forum so if I hosted I wanted to make sure how receptive the community would be to it, preferences of direction it should take, and making sure the format of the game would be viable and not against any rules/obscure conventions of the Roleplay on this site.

So the basic form is this: A science-fiction, distant future/alternate universe setting. The players would number at about 5 or 6, including the GM character (That would be the role I'd take on) who would mostly serve as The Mr. Exposition for the characters about the world.

The gist of the world is this, due to certain events, the characters are probably going to want to head north in order to escape two things:

1. An encroaching jungle/forest filled with fantasy monsters of the deadly variety, like the Everfree, but with room for other creatures of mythology to be used as well. Expect some light horror elements to come from this.
AND
2. A legion of technologically advanced humans or minotaur (I'd like input on what would be preferred) who are also fleeing north to escape the creatures of the jungle. This group also happens to be trigger happy for reasons that will depend on which species is ultimately chosen.

The races allowed would be Earth Pony, Pegasus or Unicorn. Keep in mind that for this setting given what players will have to face you can regard several of the visual gags from the show as normal powers. Does your character need to grow a fruit to the size of a car? Throw a boulder a half-mile? Break a sonic barrier? Turn a bird into an orange? These kinds of things within reason will be permissible, just realize that things just as dangerous will be after you.

Lastly, certain actions that come with any sort of difficulty would be decided via a Random Number Generator (RNG) / dice that would determine how successful a character would be in the action. Bonuses deriving from previous successes within the game, race, and cutie mark would be considered and added to the final rolled number before the GM (myself) would decide the outcome.

So with that, any input on changes/improvements/preferences for when I search for players with this idea in about a month's time?

Not sure what I can offer as an idea a.t.m, but I thought I would say that I really like where this rp is going. It seems like your putting effort into planning and you already have a major antagonist and goal (both of which sound interesting). Guess what I mean to say is, I wish you the best of luck; and hopefully I will be able to join this whenever you open the rp. I will post again here if anything comes to mind.

P.S. The tittle is hilarious.

So this is like... Futuristic MLP D&D?

A bit, but with a very very simplified stat and rolling system. It'll serve to keep a sense of adventure as failure at a critical moment can set things off in a different direction.

Why thank you regarding the title, I was thinking of the "Oddworld" franchise when I made it. Regardless, have you thought of any ideas of preferences of your own that I could possibly implement?
