Anyone know why most of GD on the LoL forum hates MLP?

All someone has to do is say anything MLP related, and the people there are like "gtfo ponyfag", or proceed to call them retarded, neckbeards, manchildren, etc. I've learned to ignore such talk, I don't even chat on their forums anymore, but it's weird that practically all of LoL's GD community hates MLP so much. Did something happen to make them hate it? Maybe 4chan invaded them and spammed pony pics or something? I used to think it was because of one very annoying player who spammed the forums and posted pony pics on every post, but they hated the pony pics even when he first started posting.

General Discussion is generally considered the childish dead-end cesspool of the LoL community by it's more mature elements.

 

Which makes me think it would be a haven for bronies.

 

I think it's just old news, you know? If a forum isn't pony based or you're not posting on a pony thread, don't bring them in except for ironic purposes you know? People want to be left in peace so they can complain about the Lee Sin nerfs in peace. No ponies, pls.

I get that, but someone released a MLP announcer that was very well done, and all of a sudden he got a flood of hate. He took it in good humour, but still, all that hate was uncalled for, when nobody was forcing them to download the announcer, or even read the thread. That's one of the main reasons I don't even play LoL anymore (except maybe once in a blue moon).

They are pure haters at the core is what I'm suggesting. They are probably the remnants of the 4chan "pony wars"  So they'll do their best to just go on any topic labeled mlp and complain and hate on it

A lot of it could be left over backlash from the brony invasion of the internet circa 2011-very early 2013. A lot of the time back then, any thing pony related at all would just degrade into a spam fest, and fights about best pone. Things have gotten better since then, but a lot of the older members of communities still harbor resentment towards mlp, due to the nature of its fans invading a lot of different sites.

This might be it as well. GD community on LoL is a bit static for some reason, I think it's most prominent users are the ones who've been around since early seasons and the like.
