Genepool 224 March 30, 2014 Share March 30, 2014 (edited) So, has anyone here had a weird dream? I'm not talking about Velociraptor PB&J sandwiches with deployed jelly machineguns that's being ridden by a humanoid representation of Celestia that wears a tophat full of mechanical items that would rival Inspector Gadget. Instead, I'm talking about dreams which are so vivid they seem real, and if that event does happen you chalk it up to de ja vu. Had a weird dream last night where I was looking at Equestria Daily and it was like mid summer of 2015, I think. Several articles talked about the decline of the brony community. A specific one talked about Meghan McCarthy resigning from DHX as the head writer/overseer of MLPFIM. It involved her essentially not trolling but outright lying to fans in order to protect Hasbro's decisions about the show. I'll put this in spoilers as to not aggrivate people since it's kind of beating a dead horse. There were several things that were listed as to what McCarthy had told 1/2 truths about or danced around the truth entirely. One of the things was in regards to Twilight outliving her friends and being immortal. It turns out that McCarthy outright lied, and the purple pony does outlive her friends. It's revealed that Hasbro wants this to happen in order to continue making additional series to milk the product line. They want Twilight to serve as a link between each series as the princess of friendship and magic. Second article talked about Hasbro's head president/VP/CEO being replaced. The new person that is incharge of things launches an all out legal assault on fan derivative works of MLPFIM. This comes in the form of massive legal action that reaches higher levels of court and eventually the surpreme court. To aid their efforts, Hasbro is back by several other companies such as Disney and Universal Studios. In the end, the lawsuit won and no one was able to challenge it due to the money required by artists to challenge the law. A new copyright law would be put into effect which states that all fan creative works, fansites, artist commissioned images, animations, etc..., were properties of the company that owns the art style, characters, and the like. Hasbro soon launched a massive C&D order to everyone out there, with things spiraling downward as Hasbro launches wave after wave of lawsuits to reclaim "damages" they incured by letting a particular fandom to exist. Things get even worse as deviant art and other sites are assualted, all of it being done to protect artist, moreover company, rights to those characters. Only thing that seems to invalidate my theory is the fact I saw something that happened in 2014, again mid summer, where things skyrocketed for the fandom. It continues on well into 2015 with no problems. I know I'm crazy, but I think the stress of RL is just getting to me and manifesting in weird ways. Anyways, what are your weird dreams that feel like they are real? Edited March 30, 2014 by Genepool

ReverseFaller 2,483 March 30, 2014 Share March 30, 2014 I have vivid dreams every single night. One of the more recent dreams I had was a lucid dream when I was in the Attack on Titan world. Basically I was swinging around with my 3D gear, and I felt the wind blowing through my hair as I zipped around the forest. In the end I got eaten by a titan. The whole dream was really cool. (Asides from being eaten of course.) Credit for the signature goes to Kyoshi
Techpony (Inactive) 75 March 30, 2014 Share March 30, 2014 Last night, I had a dream about being a character in TF2 (probably because I play that way too much), not sure if that counts or not. I do occasionally have dreams where I end up in a completely different world but for each dream, I'll be in a different part of that same world. Like for example, half these dreams are in a futuristic-esque city and the other half are in a rural part of the world with people partying and otherwise being happy. A couple of those dreams from there take place in a peaceful looking forest. I've also had a few dreams where I've explored a Victorian era house complete with secret rooms and passages. Anyway, I figured I would throw my two cents.

Sir Xarthas VI 470 March 30, 2014 Share March 30, 2014 (edited) I had a really vivid dream a week ago. And I swear it was real, but my parents keep saying nothing happened. Here's what happened in my dream:I was lying in bed, when suddenly a dark figure appeared in my doorway. It somehow levitated my out of my bed, and floated my body into the living room, in which it layed me down. Ok, so after that I get up (in the dream I'm awake during all of this), and I walk back into my room and climb back into my bed. Then the figure appears and does the same thing again. This happens about 10 times, before it decides to do something different. I get up and I walk into my room, but the the figure shoves me down into be bed EXTREMELY hard, breaking part of the bed and I actually get a few bruises from it. My parents hear the noise and they walk into my room and see that the bed is broken, and then see the figure, then walk back into their room and go back to sleep. I get up out of my bed and stand next to the figure, which pushes me back down, but to the floor, and I hear something crack. I assume it was one of my fingers since there's like two of them already broken anyway. The figure disappears, I look at my hand and three of my fingers on my left hand are bent all the way back. I don't feel it, but I can see them. And since I apparently can't seem to feel pain and bend them back into the correct position. Then I climb into bed and try to get to sleep, and eventually I do.Now this was my dream. This is what happens the morning after:I wake up with a few bruises on my chest, back, and arms, three of my fingers I can't move, and they're swollen, and my parents aren't talking to me. I ask them what's going on, they look at each other, and say "nothing". I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THAT THING WAS! Edited March 30, 2014 by ~DJ Alicorn~ Bruh... Rift enchanted 380 March 30, 2014 Share March 30, 2014 I have vivid dreams where I'm in somewhere I've been in before in real life but it's a bit different. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it save equistria with its five candy coloured friends and shoot rainbows at bad guys using their necklaces and tiara unless you're celestiaAlso if your not familiar with the count to one million post then check out our welcoming cheer!http://mlpforums.com/topic/69955-count-to-one-million/page-1188Just scroll to the bottom and it'll be there
Genepool 224 March 30, 2014 Author Share March 30, 2014 (edited) I once had a dream where I burnt my leg or something, thought it was real for some seconds. This one I've had something different, but similar where I thought it was real. I was looking in a mirror and two of my teeth fell out. The dream was so real because it felt like I was licking my gums and the teeth weren't there. Woke up to get a drink of water and felt my teeth still there. Worst dream I've had was when it felt like someone put a pillow on top of my face to smother me. That was a horrible one because I woke up in a panic attack. Took me like 5hrs to calm my heartrate down. Glad I learned what it was from my Cardiologist and some additional research.
