Adachi 772 April 1, 2014 Share April 1, 2014 (edited) A lot of people might disagree with me, but I think that Gizel Godwin would make the best leader. Why? Well, even though he seems to be the main antagonist in Suikoden V, I think deep down, he and his father wanted Falena to be ruled by the strongest. Whether it was gonna be him, or the prince, made no difference to him, he just put things into motion to test the prince to see if he was worthy of leading, which explains things that seem stupid, like making Childerich a Queen's Knight. Also, after seeing the Queen go crazy with power, the Godwins felt that she was no longer fit to rule, and they weren't sure how the rest of the royal family would've been as rulers. I think he has an extensive knowledge of how to conduct warfare, but he also fully well knows the horrors of war. He is a master manipulator, but I think in the end, he learned his lesson (otherwise, why would he be among the spirits who cheered on the prince and Lyon when Lyon came back to life). And even if he did do certain things to get what he wants, he's definitely no tyrant, and I think he would definitely think everything through before doing things. Basically, he has the charisma of Obama (when he first ran for president), but also, the effectiveness of George Washington.
