     The sun seeped through the cracks of the curtains. The alarm clock began to ring constantly, begging its owner to awaken. An arm reached over to cease its ringing. The being got up from his bed to get his day started. Feeling it to be a day as like the rest. Opening the curtains, he saw the land in which he lived. Equestria. A land of magic, fantastical creatures, and bipedal equine. But this being was not one of them. He stood up straight as they did, but that's where it ends. Where they had coats and a pair of wings or a horn. He did not. His bare skin showing, only covered by his clothing. Which they provided to him willingly by his new family.

 

Getting dressed, with a pair of jeans, white shirt and specially made shoes, he had made his way to meet with his sister, waiting at her favorite tree. Locking the door and heading down the halls, passing down the other dormitory rooms. He was making his way to the meeting spot, to see what he was going to help his sister with today. Hopefully it won't be any dangerous sciences, his skill can only help him oh so far.

 

Passing through the courtyard and the other students, he was making his way to the tree. A few minutes passed and there she was. She was a unicorn like the other students, with him as the exception, reading some book that he did not recognize. She wore a white blouse and a purple skirt, matching her purple coat and violet mane. He approached her with a smile and sat next to her. "Hey, Twi. What'cha reading?"

It took Twilight a second to realize someone was speaking to her due to the fascination of the book she had indulged herself in reading. "Hey Aaron" Twilight said with a small grin on her face, "I'm not reading much, just some old history on Starswirl The Bearded" Twilight put her head back into the book while she awaited for Aaron to respond.

Aaron looked at the book and saw images of two alicorns. One with a vibrant pink mane and golden armor with six gems in the chest, while brandishing a gold spear. The other was another alicorn to it, one with a dark appearance to her. Her coat was a dark blue with a mane that blended into the night sky. Her weapon was a scythe like weapon that was shaped into a crescent moon. They were doing battle in the skies as the ponies slept in the ground level in the books image before Twilight shut it. He let out a sigh as he looked to Twilight. "So, what have we got for today? Study session, filling in for a professor again, neuro-science or are we still not allowed in Prof. Lobe's lab?"

Twilight looked up from her book with almost a startled look on her face. "Prof. Lobe never said not to touch his experiment with quantum physic bubbles." Twilight looked back to her book for a second and then back to her brother Aaron, "Yeah,Uhm, I've plans just to read mostly today"

Aaron gave a nod and lay down into the shade. Letting the cool breeze run through his hair. Listening to the other students and Twilights mumbling as she read her book. He heard something about elements of something or other, but he didn't pay her much mind. Worst case scenario, its another week study session.

Twilight turned her attention back to her book to continue reading about things she hadn't quite understood yet, but nothing a good reading wouldn't fix. Twilight was quite interested in her book, although most books interested and peeked her curiosity this one really hit the hammer on the nail. "The Mare in The Moon" Twilight repeated to herself.

Time passed and Twilight kept reading, while Aaron lay with Twilight. An hour passed and Aaron awoke once more, seeing Twilight was still reading the same story. "Still at it? Must be good. Anything interesting in the story or is that just another science book?"

Twilight lifted her head up from the book and looked at Aaron, "This isn't just your everyday book Aaron, this book is about the old folk tale, The Mare in The Moon, it's quite fascinating actually, the evidence behind it and leading up to her.......escape........" Twilight read the lines again of the book and began to shake her head a bit almost not understanding the words meaning, "the stars....?"

Aaron sat up and saw Twilight's curiosity. Seeing the particular look in her eye as she continued to read. "What about the stars? And who's escape?" Twilight looked was scanning the book, not missing a line. "So, what's the matter? A mare and the moon and the stars are aligning? Why is this important?"

"No.......No, it's......it's not that...." Twilight continues to read flipping pages vigorously, but the book had ended. Twilight was looking frantically at the book to see if there was something else to read, but there was nothing but cover pages and index notations. Twilight got up from her seat on the grass, "I need to go to the library, check out another book"

Twilight got up and grabbed her book, rushing to her personal study. Aaron got up to follow her to make sure she didn't hurt herself. He passed by a few mares, saying that she made more friends with books than actual ponies. Running up the stair case he found Spike carrying a present. "Hey Aaron. You going to Moon Dancer's birthday party?" Aaron looked to the small drake. He was half as high as Aaron.

 

"Nah. I'm not one for parties. But thanks for the offer. Twilight come this way?"

 

"Yeah. She was running up to her study for some reason." Aaron gave a nod and went up to the room with Spike. We found her running and searching through various books for something.

Twilight got up and grabbed her book, rushing to her personal study. Aaron got up to follow her to make sure she didn't hurt herself. Twilight was searching books frantically looking for the index to guide her to the next book that would aid her further. She wasn't completely sure on what she had read previously, but she would rather not take any chances on the safety of others even if it was just part of an old pony tale.

Aaron and Spike found reading through the books, searching for something. Spike looked to her friend, holding the gift. "Hey, uh, Twilight. What are you looking for?" Aaron stepped forward and started to collect the books on the floor and putting them back. "Twi, calm down and tell us what is wrong."

"I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about, but I'm just making sure, Nightmare Moon, the sister of Princess Celestia, she was banished somewhat of 1,000 years ago, today marks the day of the 1,000th moon....." Twilight say down for a second on carpet and thought to herself, "what I need isn't here, I'll have to go to the library to check something out" Twilight put some books away and proceeded to walk out of the room.
