Whirl opens up his saddle bag and takes out his a weather uniform "we'll have to where these so we are safer from the lightning. Those lightning bolts are really dangerous" He says as he looks over at her. "And we will have to find a spell so you can walk on clouds"

Sapphire glanced over at him "Yeah, I think there is a spell for giving me wings, I have it somewere around here.." She said as she looked around, she then found the book and started using the magic, giving herself the wings. She stared at them "Woh, this is cool!"

Whirl watches in amazement as he watches Sapphire grow wings. "Whoa are these real?!" He said touching them. "Well they feel like real feathered wings" He remarked as he plucked a feather from the wing. "Do you know how to fly?" Whirl asked as he walked around Sapphire looking carefully at the wings

Sapphire giggled as she flaped her wings, she went up way to fast, and hit her head on the cealing "Owch!" She said with a laugh as she plunked next to whirl and looked at him "Yeah, I have used this Spell 1 time before, I guess thats how I can still use this" She said with a chuckle

Whirl looked over at her with a amused look in his eyes. "Yep you might need some.practice before we go out in the rain to fly" He said. "Try flying to the bathroom and back without touching any walls or anything" Whirl instructed

 

Outside the rain kept going as the water filled up to the 3 feet mark

Sapphire nodded as she jumped to her feet, flying a few feet before drifting to one side and hitting a wall with her head. She shook it of and looked over at rain, this time sure that she would be able to do it. So she started of, flying forward and just barly saving her self a few times, but she did it

Whirl looks over at her with a smile "wow not bad at all" He looked nervously outside where the rain kept comming down. "You think you ready to head for the sky?" He said as another crack of lightning lit up the sky making the room look eerie. "Or we could leave a bit later..."

Whirl shook away his fear and put on a determined face. "Alright, Your right. We need to go before more ponies loss their lives" He puts on his cloak and opens the window as a huge gust of wind comes in and knocked Whirl against the wall "Whoa!!! That's a strong wind!!" He said getting up.

Sapphire glanced over at him and nodded, putting the scarf around her neck. She started walking into the storm, she gritted her teeth and used her wings to force her forward, out of the door. She grabbed the frame, looking over at whirl and yelling "Alrighty then, you ready?"

Whirl starts to flap his wings fast to warm up. "Y..yep! Let's go!!!!" He flies out the window and immediately starts to lose control. "Whoa!!!.." Trying to regain balance he grits his teeth and does a dive then pulls up. "Let's go!!! To Cloudsdale!!" The rain soaked his feathers making it hard to flap

Sapphire jumped after him, the rain hitting her fullforce in the face, sending her back. She flaped her wings hard, knowing she would just barely be able to make it if she tryed her hardest. Her wings did not take on the rain though, rather made it slide off of the side of the wing

"Sapphire!!" Whirl shouted through the storm and flew behind her to assist her "You ok?! Even I've never flew in this harsh of a weather" He said taking her hoof. He was too worried and in panic to blush as he flapped hard "Come on!!!" He said as he flew both of them upwards

Sapphire held onto his hand with all of her stranth, and they just barely made it to cloudstale. She fell on her face and just stayed there for awhile, letting her head stop spinning. She sat up, yawning and looking over at him "Well, that was really close" She said with a smile

Whirl got up and shook all the rain water from his coat then rushed over to help her "Yes...that was too close. Are you alright?" He held out his hoof. "Oh my, It's all dark clouds up here..no white clouds" He looks over and sees a couple Pegasi. "And where are all the workers?" He wondered helping up Sapphire and walking around

Sapphire glanced around, using the building next to them as raincover. She looked down at the ground, she wasnt really scared of hights, but they were REALLY High up. She looked back over at whirl and sighed "So whirl, Were should we head first to find out whats going on?"

Whirl looked nervously at the weather factory. "We should check out what's in there" He points to the building. "If we can find anypony, we will ask what's with the strange weather" He suddenly noticed how incredibly cold it was up there. "Whoa it is chilly up here, It's usually warm"

Sapphire nodded as she followed him. She glanced around, she had never really liked being up high, but she was more then OK with it. SHe looked back over at him "Really? I thought it was always cold up here, being so far away from the earth and all" She said with a chuckle as she followed him

Whirl nods his head toward a nearby building. "Let's go check out the cloud factory, maybe we'll find some pony" The wind ruffled his feathers as he shivered "Or something..." He said while his voice trailed off in the wind. Gulping he shivered more and took a few steps toward the factory

Sapphire looked around them, She could only see one or two ponys, and they were running around, most likely trying to get somewere. She shivverd and wraped her scarf around her neck tighter. She glanced over at whirl "Well, you lead the way" SHe said with a chuckle as she followed him

Whirl nodded and walked over to the ponies running. "Hey guys! Wait up!!" They quickly turned and looked then looked extremely frightened then ran away. "Hey! Don't be scared!! We just want to know what's going on!" Whirl said running after them. He finally catches up with them

Sapphire looked over at whirl "Huh, I wonder whats up with them" She said wtih a sigh as she looked around "MMmmmm, I guess we should go find somepony who is...like alive, not just running away from us...I wonder what is wrong with them"  She said with a glance around "Very strange"

Whirl didn't seem convinced and looked over at Sapphire then back at the ponies who were flying away.

 

"There is something I don't trust about those guys" He said turning his back to them. He didn't notice them turning around and pulling knives out. Snickering they flew back with knives out. The blade gleaming in the moonlight

 

"Uh what are you looking at?" Whirl asked looking confused. .

Sapphire shrugged as she looked over at whirl "I dunno, Just seeing if I could find anything. Come on, lets go deeper, see if we can find any other normal ponys?" She said with a yawn as she looked over at him "We also need to find some way to step the flooding, or else lots of ponys are going to die"
