What if the Norse Pantheon came to Equestria?

Let's pretend that the Norse Pantheon was almost completely prepared for Ragnarok. But they were missing one thing, how to bring harmony to the people, so the people could live in peace after Ragnarok ends. Odin, being full of knowledge and wisdom, would find out that Equestria is full of harmony. The Norse Gods would travel through time and space to Equestria, to learn all that they can.

 

I think all the ponies would be shocked at first (Rarity would outright faint). Assuming that Celestia keeps her cool enough to find out who's the leader of the group (which I'm sure she would, being Celestia), she would ask Odin what the meaning of scaring her people (remember, the Norse Gods are larger than life, they would probably be gigantic compared to them, although they could change their form). Odin would apologize, and have all the Gods change to smaller forms. Then, they would have a meeting.

 

Here's what I think would happen

 

- Odin would make some new friends, possibly some new drinking buddies. For some reason, I could imagine Odin having a drinking contest with RD, and although he still wins, her ability to hold in the spirits would be remembered for ages.

- Discord would have a new BFF in Loki (uh oh )

- Rainbow Dash would try to show off to Thor. Thor would just grin, and say "Do you want to see some real lightning? He would make an epic flash of lightning that would be remembered throughout Equestria for thousands of years

- Equestrians would learn some new trades

- Odin would probably insist that he be allowed to build an arena, where brave warriors could test their mettle against each other. Celestia might actually grant it, just so the royal guards could have something to do.

- All/most of the Norse Gods would have a hand in assisting Fluttershy with finally overcoming her crippling shyness once and for all.

- Equestrians would have a strengthened appreciation of poetry

- Odin would finally admit that Twilight is best pony (much to the chagrin of Sleipnir xD)

- The changelings would die out in seconds. The last thing they would see is Odin, riding on Sleipnir, and Thor, riding on a cloud. Odin with Gungnir in hand, Thor with Mjollnir in hand. They would claim the badlands in the name of the Gods, and name the area New Valhalla

Hail! An excellent topic, if I do say so myself. To add to what you said, RD would challenge Thor to a drinking contest and lose, but AJ would hold her own against the Thunderer himself and be given high honour (RD will wake up with a killer hangover and a place saved in Valhalla). Fluttershy would get along with Freyja, and after meeting Tyr the Timber Wolves would flee the Everfree (Shining Armor would also develop a severe inferiority complex). Odin would like Twilight Sparkle (god of knowledge, pony who loves to learn), but the real discussion would happen between him, Celestia, and Luna. Pinkie Pie would relish (probably literally ) the meeting of Discord and Loki, who would be friends but rivals. I hope Thor doesn't meet Celestia, because we all know how he is with Trolls  .
