There should be a episode starring Derpy

Hey, ya'll I was thinking. Back in February/March when Rainbow Falls aired after seeing Derpy appear and Fluttershy saying she is Rainbow Dash replacement (till later on they are revealed she was faking her injuries) my reaction was "Oh no their doomed!"  Later on I discover that Derpy was to be removed back in season 2,  at first I don't know why they would want to do that, till I see it was from angry letters from parents feeling like she is an offensive character.  

 

 

Honestly I don't think she is, I think she's quiet interesting. Anyways, I was thinking, why not Hasbro and or the MLP FIM team, make a episode starring Derpy, the episode issue would be that Derpy is just being herself, while other ponies are making fun of her, and the resolved part would be that one or everyone of the mane 6 stand up for Derpy, and explain why they do that (some ponies would ask why).  At least show everyone that Derpy is a one of a kind pony, and also teach the kids another lesson about friendship. 

 

 

Today one of our society problems is bullying, around some places you see kids picking on others for either no reason, something wrong with them, or their beliefs, and or being themselves, not only their is a bully but there is also other kids watching and some either stand up or do nothing but watch. 

 

Sure we had a few episode about kids picking on kids one which the first was back in season 1 when Applebloom met Scootaloo and Sweetiebell, only this one was about their flanks not having their cutie mark, the one with Derpy would have alot of reasons. 

 

That is what I think a my little pony episode should have. I don't know about ya'll but i think it would be a good interesting episode.

But I don't think they'll do one, one of the writer, after the episode The Last Roundup aired, said My Little Pony was a show about friendship above all. They've understood why they got those bad letters.

Showing a character who have wall eyes can be offensive for some.

If derpy got her own episode applejack would be even lower on the charts

I would want one to characterize her just so she finally has some canon status to justify her popularity beyond a few cute cameos. I dunno if I agree with the bullying prompt though? The CMC episodes cover that well enough, I think. But I dunno, maybe it could be approached from an adult perspective.

Personal opinions on Derpy aside

 

As I said in the Vinyl Scratch episode thread, imo, giving Derpy an episode, much like any bg character, would be a horrible idea. She was literally just a background before the fandom popularized bg ponies and her history and personality is built almost entirely from fanon. If they were to bring her in the show as a more prominent character(much less an entire episode) and her personality isn't like her fanon the fans are going to scream bloody murder. Of course, if they do make her personality like her fanon fans will scream "PANDERING" like bloody murder anyway. And lets not forget the soccermoms that'll scream bloody murder too, the writers just wouldn't win and it wouldn't be fair to them

 

That's a lot of bloody murder that, imo, is just not worth giving her an episode. She should stay as a "Where's Waldo" type of character, the fandom is lucky for that alone

yeah is would be nice since she's the most popular background pony but maybe she should not star in a episode because people might find her offensive and might complain to hasbro then they might delete her then we would never see her again
