(I'll be using Draco Malfoy and Fred Weasley for NPCs, anyone else can feel free to use the NPCs they want)

 

 

Ariel Fýrdraca had turned 11 on September 11, 1990, but wasn't able to attend Hogwarts since it already started. The date was September 1, 1991, and she was on her way to Platform 9 3/4. Her parents went with her to Diagon Alley to help her pick out some stuff, but dropped her off at the train station with specific instructions on where to go. 

 

She pulled her luggage through the crowds of people as she continuously glanced down at the instructions given to her by her parents. It said it wasn't a normal platform, but instead, you went through a wall. Fair enough, it was magic. She stopped once she got to the wall. It would definitely be weird...

 

She glanced around to make sure no one was looking, then took a deep breath and ran through the wall, magically appearing somewhere else entirely.

 

"Wow!" She exclaimed with a grin, as she headed onto the train.

 

She dragged her luggage through the train, looking for a spot to sit. Anywhere, really. As long as there wasn't already anyone else there. 

 

Ah, perfect! She though, taking an empty seat.

 

She looked out the window, waiting for everyone else to get on so the train would be on its way to Hogwarts.

 It was September 1st and the first day of school. For normal people. For witches and wizards, it was the first day that started with a train ride. Joseph Pirrone didn't have his parents with him as they could only afford one plane ticket to get him to England. His dad gave him instruction on how to get to this magic platform. He walked up to the wall between platforms 9 and 10. His luggage was in front of him on a rack. Making sue there was no-one there to gawk at him, he ran straight for the wall and somehow emerged on the other side.

 

In front of him there was a scarlet train and a whole bunch of students. "What the ... wow." He exclaimed gleefully. He dropped his stuff off at the baggage cart but kept his carry-on and cat carrier. His carry-on contained his robes and a spare change of clothes. Walking into a carriage, he tried to find a place where there wasn't anyone in there or at least one kid. Seeing that mostly everywhere was full, he looked into the one on the end.

He saw a girl there but it appeared that she didn't want anyone else there. He asked her anyway. "Excuse me, is it alright if I sit here? Everywhere else on this carriage is full." He explained to her.

She turned to the boy, he looked about her age, so he must have been a first year like her.  She nodded.

 

"Yeah, sure, that's fine by me," she said, scooting down to the end.  "So I assume that this is your first year to Hogwarts as well?  Which House do you think you'll be sorted into?

Joseph smiled and put whatever he had on the rack above him. He sat down on the other side. "Thanks. This is my first year at Hogwarts as well.I actually hope I'll be sorted into Ravenclaw. It's what my dad was in so I hope I'll get into the same house. Which house do you think you'll be in?" He asked the girl.

"I don't know.  Both my parents were in Gryffindor, as were the rest of my family.  I suppose everyone is hoping I'm put into Gryffindor, but if not, I'm sure they won't mind," she said, glancing out the window for a moment.  "I don't understand why first years aren't allowed to take their own broom."

He shrugged at that. "I don't know. Maybe for safety reasons? It's kind of weird though, seeing that we get Flying Lessons in our first year and we kind of need a broom for that but I suppose the school will lend us one for the class ..." Joseph's rambling trailed off as he looked at the window. "What's your name? I don't think I got it." He asked her.

It was September 1st, 6am and Lara was already dancing around the hotel dressed up and ready to go while her parents were only opening their eyes.

"Come on Lara, we're 5 minutes from the station go back to sleep ! said her sleepy mom

- But.... 

- Nope. In your room, now.

- Okay..." A sad face appeared on Lara but as soon as she was in her tiny room she started dancing again. After a few minutes she got tired and decided to read the "Magic beasts and Where to find them" book a fifth time this week. You never know too much.

Lara took her father's hand (he was more scarred than she was really) and they passed through the wall just like Marion did a minute ago. When they saw the red train, Lara was so happy and excited she couldn't stop jumping around like a little bunny but as soon as her eyes crossed another kid's ones she stopped immediately and blushed. 

"Okay it's gonna be time now. Said her mom with a slime and a tear in her eye. 

- It's ok mom, I'm gonna be back soon !"

She kissed her parents and went into the train. After a few seconds just standing there, she realized she didn't take her bags. She ran out, kissed her laughing parents once more and finally got into the train. She looked around, hopping to see friendly faces but almost all of the sits were taken or the ones left were with much older students. 

I told them to leave earlier ! she thought, scared to have no friends at all for the rest of her life.

She was ready to give up when she saw that the in very last cabin there were only two students that looked to be the same age. She smiled and opened the door :

"Hi... Can.. Can I sit with you please ?" her cheeks were as red as a tomato on a sunny day.

Joseph looked up as he heard someone speak. He looked uneasily at the girl sitting opposite him. He's got no idea if the girl would let her sit here. "I don't mind. You can sit here if you want." He said as he looked out the window. He looked around the room and then ended up twiddling his fingers out of pure boredom.

Ariel nodded, not minding the girl to sit down.  She wondered if anyone else would come sit down, seeing as now there was only room for one more person.  She turned to Joseph, after he asked her the question.

 

"My name's Ariel.  Ariel Fýrdraca, a Pure-Blood.  What's your name?  Both of you," she asked, looking at the two of them.

"Thank.. Thank you." Said Lara, blushing even more. She sat down next to the other girl who was introducing herself.

"My name's Ariel.  Ariel Fýrdraca, a Pure-Blood.  What's your name?  Both of you," she asked, looking at the two of them.

"I'm Lara, Lara Hawkins. I'm in first year, are you too ?" said the redhead. 

 

PS : We forgot to do the physical description, didn't we ? Lara is a very pale girl with a lot of freckles (redhead as you understood). Her hair are very long - they are curly and go all the way down her back.

Joseph looked from one girl to the other. "Nice to meet you two. My name is Joseph. I'm also in first year Lara." He said to her. He had brown, spiky hair, olive skin from his dad and blue eyes. "Where do you two coem from, if you don't mind me asking." Joseph asked them.

"Cool, so we're all first years," she said.  "I'm from Wiltshire, England, what about you two?"

 

She sat there, waiting for a response, awkwardly looking around as she did.  Something she would do when she was nervous.  She had long, brown hair and brown eyes.  Her skin wasn't quite tanned, but it wasn't all that pale either.

"I'm from the other side of the world to you then. I'm from Sydney, Australia." Joseph told them. He looked out the window and then back at them. "Do you get the feeling that we aren't going anywhere?" He asked them. He didn't feel like the train was moving. Feeling bored again he started twiddle his thumbs.

"Oh wow it must be cool in Australia ! I always wanted to see a kangaroo... I'm from a little town just a few hours from here."

Lara looked at the two children sitting next to her : one was looking around nervously, the other one was twiddling his thumb. Nothing was happening. Oh I'm so hungry ! But it's not been 10 minutes I cant' eat now.. Her hands started a braid in her long hair when the boy spoke :

"Do you get the feeling that we aren't going anywhere?" 

The ginger looked out the window even though she knew the train was not moving. She noticed the parents looking nervously at their watches. 

"Yeah, it's weird... Maybe we are waiting for someone ?" said Lara full of hopes. The train was never late, it wasn't normal.

Ariel shrugged.

 

"Maybe they're just waiting for everyone to get on.  There's always a lot of first years and maybe some of them are a little late?"  She wondered, looking out the window.

 

She sighed, shrugged again and looked back at them.

 

"What are you looking forward to most?"

Joseph laced his fingers and placed them behind his head. "You could be right." He said. He then looked to Lara and thought about something. "You said you've always wanted to see a kangaroo? If you ever do see one, make sure not to get too close. Otherwise they'll punch you and send you flying." Joseph told her. Then he put his hand on his chin in thought. "Or maybe that was the boxing kangaroo ...." He said to himself.

Lara smiled to Joseph :

"Okay, I didn't know. But you seem to speak from experience hahaha!" 

She then turned to Ariel : "I can't wait to play Quidditch! I mean flying sounds SO awesome! Oh and I want to know what house I'll be in but just as much as everyone else I suppose." 

She looked at her watch. We're five minutes late... I'm really getting worried.

Joseph frowned at the train's apparent immobility. "Either we're going extremely slow or the train isn't moving at all. The train always leaves at 11 no matter what.What are we waiting for?" Joseph said impatiently. Patience had never been one of his strong suits. He looked at Ariel. "I suppose I'm looking forward to learning spells. As many spells as I can. Also. I'm also looking forward to playing Quidditch. It sounds like a beaut!" Joseph said excitedly. "What about you Ariel? What are you looking forward to the most?"

Scarlet woke up at 7 am and she went downstairs where her mom was making breakfast. Her dad worked at the Ministry of Magic just like her cousins father. Scarlet sat down at the table and she started eating. -at Diagon Alley- Scarlet was supposed to meet her cousins in Diagon Alley.

Walking quickly Arky waved to Scarlet. "Hey!" He said loudly putting his hand down. "So, hows it been?" He asked sitting by her.
