open Days in Ponyville

"Not exactly, I am actually here to work as the towns blacksmith, but I suppose I will attend anyway." Suddenly, another pony walked up. "Well hello there, my name's silver dusk, good to meet you. We were just talking about a musical competition coming up in a few days. Were you interested?"

"White tone? Might have heard you before, You do piano compositions? Will you performing in the musical battle here? Have a seat, If you are going to be giving us a show, I can give you a good breakfast to get you going." I turn back to my look alike. "Silver, you said blacksmithing, What kind of jobs occupy most of your time?"

"Nothing too major, I often do repairs and such. But sometimes I do work for the guard, and special orders for customers. If you ever want to stop by the forge, feel free, I could always use a guest!" Silver said, smiling. He was quite passionate about his work. "How about you two? How do you spend your time?"

"I'm a pencil pusher, paper weight, rubber stamp, The worst of bureaucracy. I work for the magical differentiation division where I mainly have to decide what is considered 'black' magic, and how restricted it should be." I pause to take a sip and smile, "A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to keep unicorn magic advancing while preventing the magic from harming others."

After the other two ponies are finished describing their jobs, I figure it's my turn.

 

"I'm actually unemployed at the moment." I say with an awkward laugh.

 

"I had a job in the city I used to live in, though. I worked at a music store, and I saved up enough money to move here to Ponyville."

I partied for a while then decided to go home, I like my new house, a two story cabin style place near this AWSOME looking treehouse library. "I'm gonna go home for a while" I tell my new friends and leave

"Well Amaya, surely you have some interests," Silver said to her. "There are tons of jobs around Ponyville, maybe we could find one that will suit your tastes." Silver stood up. "The meals on me." Nodding at the stylishly colored pony sitting with them, he said, "If you'd like to join us on job-hunting, feel free! Maybe we'll come across something more... ah... lively... Than your current position. Come along then!" He dropped some bits on the counter and walked out, not waiting for an objection.

 Getting up after Silver, Everlast turns back to the mare. "Alright Amaya, looks like we've got a goal for today. I still got time to spare so I hope you don't mind if I tag along. I just have to finally return these books to the library. It won't be long, and I'm sure I can find you again. White tone, It was a pleasure to meet you albeit a fleeting one. And I hope I am not appearing rude leaving as you come in, perhaps we can meet again later for a dinner if we do not see each other again in the day?" With that, he takes a bow and leaves toward the library.

[Jump Cut 59]

As the train came to a screeching halt, vast amounts of steam poured out from the sides of the colorful train. The doors slid open and out of the steam appeared a orange Pegasus. As he exited the train he stretched his legs due to the long train ride from Manehattan. Looking around he noticed that not much had changed since the last time he'd been back home in Ponyville about 50 moons ago. He began to walk home. On his way, he thinks to himself "I wonder if the library has that new book i've been waiting for about new filming techniques? I must go there later to see if I can pick it up". 

 

As Jump walks home he passes by a Breakfast joint. He noticed a Pegasus wearing a flight jacket who had a face full of dirt, Except for two clean spots around his eyes, sitting at one of the outside tables. Jump Cut thought to himself, "he must be one of those equestrian air force pilots or something?" Suddenly His stomach Grumbles. He murmurs to himself "well I am a bit hungry from the train ride. And I don't have to go home right away. I guess I'll go and get something to eat". He sits down at a table outside and orders an Apple fritter and a milkshake which was his favorite thing to eat while in Ponyville. He begins to eat but while he ate he could not get over the one pony with soot all over his face. He walks over and offers the stallion a napkin and says "hey buddy you got a little something on your face".

On the edge of the everfree forest, kaymen lounges in a tree, as he lies there, he notices a few couples from a distance. As he sees them passing him by, he can't help but think of that rainbow maned mare he had seen in the castle before. He attempts to shake the thought off, but he just can't seem to do it. He lies there for a few more seconds before consulting his friends. Flying deeper into the forest to talk with his friends, the bats. They tell him he should see if he can find her, maybe something will come of it, maybe it won't hurt to try, will it?

 

So he decided, he took off his cape, his leg bands, and takes out his contacts and fake teeth, he did the best he could to make himself look more normal. When he was done, he made his way into town, to learn of their customs, since he had lived in the forest for so long he may have forgotten, or they had changed since he had last lived in town. As he made his way down the streets, he could feel the prying eyes of the others, they still seemed to find him strange, he felt. But he just mustered a smile as he made his way to....he had just realized, he didn't know where he was going. Then he heard a grumble, it was from his stomach, (why not, every one else is) he remembered there was a small burger joint....somewhere, maybe someone else knew.

He saw a yellow and green pony standing near sugar cube corner, he trotted over to her. "Um...hi, do you know where the hay burger is?" He noticed the red bands around her front legs, and the ones on her hind legs seemed strangely familiar....and he wondered why she had a cape.

Well that was rather rude, Silver thought, after Amaya had stammered some excuse about having somewhere to be and rushing out. Perhaps I'll go into town and try to kill some time while Everlast returns those books... Hmm... But what to do... he finally decided to try and find the ponies who were basically the town celebrities, but he had somehow managed to avoid them the whole time that he was living here. Well that one that lives by the forest seems nice, maybe I'll go introduce myself
