SkyDream 315 May 8, 2014 Share May 8, 2014 ... bleh. It's probably happened to you, dearest reader, at some point in your life. You have a dream that gets so incredibly involving that you recognize the most unbreakably intense emotional connection to something or someone in it, and it gives you such incredible emotions that your throat tightens and your eyes well up with tears that you feel are completely justified, warranted, and deserved. They can give you pause to consider how there are so many beautiful things in this world, and so many amazing and benevolent deeds done by selfless people, but truly rarely will we ever experience something so dramatically intense as what we had just dreamt of, even though it's not real. It can leave you as a complete wreck for days. But that's one of the best parts. You just don't care. It dwells within you for months afterward. You just don't forget something like that. Bonus thread content: -------------- So here's something I wanted to talk about, concerning this. This experience is something that can be the leading cause of an intense artistic outcry from an individual. It creates an obsession that is virtually impossible to shake. Suppose you have a dream like this about Rainbow Dash or Fluttershy, and for the next undefined amount of time, they are absolutely constantly on the back of your mind, and your body is still completely flooded with emotions, and you just can't seem to quell them. This may result in the presentation of a veritable public shrine to them, because you just can't hide your experience inside of you. So now you've got a forum profile totally devoted to them. Your profile is probably really big, and might even be embarrassing to someone who doesn't quite share your beliefs. In fact, if a troll sees it, or someone like Howard Stern, you will be ridiculed. Nothing you did wrong, of course, absolutely not, but they will be relentless. But here's the thing. They will never know what you had experienced. They may not even have had even remotely of a strong experience when they had met their spouse. They laugh and ridicule because they don't understand, and never will. I say, as long as you're not shoving your experiences down other peoples' throats, you should feel free to revel in an incredibly personal experience, however fleeting it may have been.
Scootalove 10,692 May 8, 2014 Share May 8, 2014 I have had many dreams that gave me a lot more excitement than what I have in real life, more emotion, more action, and more freedom to have as much fun with my imagination as possible. Sad, but true. 1 Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Adorkable 2,737 May 9, 2014 Share May 9, 2014 'Tis the way of dreams, your mind digs down to your deepest wants and desires, and you finally get them! In your own little perfect world. It's so nice, and when you wake up, you're so sad because they don't come true. xD
