Theories That Ruined The Show For Me (Not Really)

Ok, so while I was in the shower. (I think better when I'm naked.) I thought of two different theories about the show.

 

 

The first one is what I call the Twilight is Useless Theory: everything that Twilight does is just a test by Celestia. Twilight is never in danger of anything and neither is any of Equestria. She basically doesn't do anything. She never really saves Equestria. It's all just planned out by Celestia. The other Mane 5 are just ponies that Celestia hired to test Twilight about what she's learned. None of them are really her friends or friends with each other. This is how she meets them so fast.

 

The second one is what I call the Don Quiote Theory: this one is a lot more sad. In this theory Twilight is so caught up in a book that she can't tell the difference between fiction and reality. The book she is reading is about 6 friends. These friends can be clearly defined by personality traits such as laughter, honesty, loyalty, kindness, and generousity. Twilight, knowing that she really does want friends, imagines herself as the main character in this book. This would explain the Elements of Harmony being clear cut personality traits. And every character of the Mane 6 except for Twilight having an element based on a personality trait.

I usually don't think much about that kind of thing, but it's more of the theories about the fandom that bother me.

 

What do you mean "She never really saves Equestria"? The amount of times Twilight saves Equestria is ridiculous, but I must admit that Princesses Celestia and Luna don't always do that much.

Well, my entire enjoyment of the show just got mortally crushed by someone's headcanon. I'm totally gonna stop watching now.

 

 

I'm just joking bro. But seriously, you let your headcanon ruin the show? We know your theories aren't true, so just enjoy the show the way it is. Don't sweat it.

What is this? The Matrix? "What is real" of Equestria. Or have I confused this with Schrödinger's Butterfly? http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SchrodingersButterfly Those would probably make for some fun twist plot readings.

 

I don't get how those theories ruined the show for you? There's nothing to really support them - (They're headcannons afterall).

The first one seems really improbable, because unless Celestia is really sadistic, I can't understand why she'd want to give Twilight so many tests that have no real importance or meaning.

 

The second one was interesting. Neither ruined MLP for me though. This isn't "Cupcakes" level material or anything.

I was joking about it ruining the show. I was being a little dramatic. Probably should have made that clearer. (You guys take stuff WAY to seriously.) and I'm not exactly expecting it to ruin to for anyone else. (But, come on. Really you do.)
