"Interesting...note that I used half of almost all of my power and now im having troubles teleporting...I hope this doesn't last long" Solstice said to himself before he acidentally bumped into Twilight Sparkle

Twilight Sparkle rubbed her now hurt head and looked at who she just bumped in to.

 

"Oh, my apologies." Twilight said formally with a small bow. She then took a good long look at the stallion before asking "Hey, do I know you from somewhere?" since his posture looked so familiar.

"That's weird, I didn't mention anything about Equinox." the princess thought to herself. "I wonder what that stallion's up t-" "Twilight!" Fluttershy called to her purple friend. "Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Discord, Shining Armor, and half the royal guard are here! They want you back at the library immediately so they can talk!" "Huh? Why!?" Twilight asked, more confused and even a bit worried about what might happen next. "I don't know, they just said it was an emergency!" "I'll head over there at once!" the alicorn said.

Twilight burst through the doors of her library. Like Fluttershy had said, Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Discord, Shining Armor, and several royal guards where crowded in her library; all given tea and cookies by Spike, who was wearing an apron.

 

"Come on Spike! It's okay to serve tea on regular occasions, but now I'll have to make another trip to the grocery store!" Twilight thought to herself before addressing one of the princesses. "Princess Celestia, why are so many ponies here?" she asked.

 

The princesses and Shining Armor all looked at each other before turning to the purple mare. "Twilight, somepony attempted to assassinate Discord." the sun princess said. "What! but why!?" "We believe it's because Discord sensed a magical disturbance that the attacker didn't want him to notice." "Have you seen what happened to the Everfree Forest Twilight?" Discord asked, not at all in his usual cheerful mood. "Yea, it's so... normal." "Well, that is because somepony absorbed it's magic for themselves. I don't know who or why exactly, but I know that, whoever they are, they must now have power beyond measure." "Twilight, you know what this means." Cadence stated. "Yes," Twilight responded. "I must find out who did this and-"

A brown, wingless griffon clad in a leather thief's outfit and cloak falls off the crossbeams above you, landing directly on the table.

 

"Uh... Hehe... What's up, doc?" He waves sheepishly at Discord and the rest of the ponies that have assembled for the meeting.

"He's the assassin!" one falsely accused. "Here's here to steal our tea and cookies!" another one guessed wrongly. Roac, his back still on the table, had around twenty spears pointed at him before he could yell "Wait!"

 

Therefore, Princess Luna yelled it for him. "Wait!" the princess yelled to her guards. "I saw him fighting the assassin back at the castle. He's an ally."

 

The royal guards stopped their assault as the moon alicorn approached the wingless griffin. "What's your name?" she asked.

He remains completely calm, despite the topic of the meeting.

Roac raises his claws in front of him. " Aww, I'm flattered! And I'm not abusing them, I'm using them!.. You wanna see abusing? I just got the crap beat out of me by a unicorn who turned INTO A SHADOW! Seriously, isn't there a rule against doing that or something?"

 

He chuckles nervously as he attempts to back out of the room, finding his exit blocked by a couple of guards.

Princess Luna sounded, unamused, before she used her magic to fling the griffin away from the door and in to a chair which skid across the floor on only two legs until the back of Roac's head hit a bookshelf. The princess of the night then began to slowly advance towards the thief to intimidate him. "Time and time again I see you robbing the rich, the poor, and everypony in between. The only reason why I let these antics of yours go on unpunished is because I know you have more potential than that. Perhaps now is the time to prove it."

Princess Luna sounded, unamused, before she used her magic to fling the griffin away from the door and in to a chair which skid across the floor on only two legs until the back of Roac's head hit a bookshelf. Roac lets out a nervous squawk, laughing as he puts his claws back up defensively. He's not so intimidated as he is understanding that he can't win this, and Luna can tell... Not so much for everypony else.

 

"Look, I was just trying to raise some money for my sister to escape Griffonia! Come on, I live in a CLOCKTOWER, for Allah's sake!"

He eventually responds with a tone of defeat in his voice. "Look... you see more potential in me? Feel free to invest, madame. And besides, I might have some information you might want."

"Give him a break Luna!" demanded Shining Armor, of all ponies, to the princess as everypony in the room gasped. "Weren't you listening to the reports the witnesses where giving? They said a wingless griffin was the one who saved Discord. If there's another wingless griffin in Equestria, I would like to know." the captain said as a clamor started in the room.

 

"QUIET!" Shining Armor yelled. "I don't know about you, but I certainly believe that Roac's already served his dues in full." "So you're saying that we should just let him go!?" Luna asked in outrage. "Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying." the stallion said boldly as a roar erupted from his comrades.

 

"However! although he's free to go, I'm sure that he's still going to stay and help us. Because, like you said, he has more potential than that." Shining Armor quoted before approaching Roac.

 

"Your bow, how did it break?" he asked.

"This pony is the most powerful thing I have ever seen... The only reason I fought him off long enough for Discord to escape was that he wasn't interested in killing me. I'm either going to need some weapons with strong enchantments, or we need to find another like him, somepony who'll help us..."

 

He pauses again.

"Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, we must go to the Tree of Harmony at once!" the princess said before galloping out of the door followed by her five friends.

 

"Uh, she does realize that we don't know who the assassin is or where the assassin's hiding, right?" a royal guard asked as Princess Celestia grinned. "Princess Twilight Sparkle is a brilliant mare, but she can have her occasional blunders." the sun alicorn said before turning to Roac and Discord. "Roac, I need you to catch up with the six so you can tell them what you saw. Discord, I need you to catch up with the six so you can sense more magical disturbances for them. Make sure you stay by their side. This could end up not going as planned. It usually doesn't." she said before the two finally left." Princess Celestia ordered before they both began to leave.

 

"Oh, and one more thing." Princess Celestia said as the two where halfway out the door. The alicorn levitated Roac's broken bow and repaired it in a large display of magic.

 

Don't worry, I'll make sure the roleplay doesn't end this easily.

Roac interrupts Cadence. "I know the pony who invented this stuff-- earth pony inventor by the name of Mystic Rivet. (one of my OCs) He'll be happy to help, just tell him I sent you. I get all my gear worked on by him."

 

As Celestia repairs his bow, he gasps with joy and nearly hugs the princess. This gesture wins his loyalty almost instantly.

 

"Thank you, thank you thank you! I won't let you down, your majesty!"

 

He darts out the door in pursuit of the Mane 6, taking to the treetops as soon as he's able (with the help of metal, 3-pronged climbing claw, attached to a rope.)

Lovejoy, a kind, young mare who runs an orphanage in Manehattan, was sweeping the floor of the commons at night while the foals where sleeping. The fireplace was reduced to embers, candles lit the room, and the two hidden blades that Lovejoy's father used to use while in service of Princess Celestia was criss-cross on a mantle above the fireplace. A gray coated, black maned teenager with no cutie mark opened the front door and trotted in.

 

This teenager first came to Lovejoy just a week before. As far as she could tell, he had amnesia. She took him to the police station, but the police had no records of him; no family, no friends, not even a name. The mare took it upon herself to take care of the young stallion until his parents turned up, and it hasn't been easy, to say the least.

 

"And just where have you been Lone Nomad?" Lovejoy asked assertively, addressing the adolescent by what the foals at the orphanage decided to call him.

One can say, that a good majority of the fillies feared him and, in consequence, he has no friends because of that. Right before he laid down for the night, he got a serious headache and it usually happen an no one known why.

"Now who can that be?" the mare wondered as she trotted over to the door and opened it. "Princess Twili-" "Ssshhhh!" the purple alicorn sounded frantically as she put her hoof up to her lips. Twilight Sparkle, her five friends, a wingless griffin, and Discord where all at the door.

 

"Ma'am, we need you and the foals you're taking care of to leave this building at once. We believe there's an assassin hiding in here." "What?" Lovejoy asked, astounded, not believing what she was hearing. "You heard right, our friend Discord traced his magic back to here, and our friend Roac gave us a description of him. Have you seen a gray coated, black maned stallion lately?"

 

Lovejoy gasped in horror, her eyes pinpoints. "Bu- That matches Lone Nomad's description perfectly!" she whispered frantically. "He's a teenager I'm taking care of who claims not to remember anything, he's upstairs right now!" "She's right," Discord confirmed. "either that's the assassin, or somepony with the exact same magical existence as him, which is impossible." he said again, unaware of how possible the phenomenon actually was. Twilight Sparkle put her hoof on the mare's shoulder. "Don't worry ma'am, we'll make sure Equinox doesn't hurt any of your foals." "Equinox, is that his real name?" Lovejoy asked. "We don't know for certain, but the description matches him. He always hated me for some reason, but I didn't think he was below murder..." Twilight looked back at Lovejoy, who was beginning to cry.

 

"Lovejoy, we need you to get yourself together so you can call Equinox down here. Once he's here, we'll ambush him, and nopony will get hurt in the process. Okay?" Lovejoy nodded and stopped crying long enough to yell "Lone Nomad!" "Everypony hide!" Twilight demanded as her friends hid behind furniture, Roac climbed in to the rafters, and she and Discord became invisible.
