"Yeah, that's basically how you get it to work. Might need to practice a bit to get speech patterns down and such, but it's really not that difficult." Badaboom gave a quick rundown of the voice manipulation ability, with her attention still on the streets outside. Something kept nagging at her regarding Lightning Bliss, and her need to teleport, seemingly away from Seth. She couldn't explain it, she just felt unease.

 

Laughing a little she gave Atlas her attention. "I don't think you'd be able to turn into a bat. That would definitely be a first for me. However I bet levetation spells would come easy. Seems to be a favorite of unicorns from what I've seen. Convinent though, won't have to hold stuff in yer mouth." She tried to shed more light to shroud Atlas's mind with other thoughts besides the death of a pony by his own hooves.

 

Also hearing the door close she peeked back out the window, just barely missing Seth make his entrance. "Nah, I'm just thinking..." She trailed off as she headed the voice of a young filly call out, the tone was of obvious distress. Boom couldn't help but rush to the door, but stopped when Atlas pressed ahead of her suggesting that she stay in the room. With a light sigh of disappointment Boom turned back and took a place on the bed to wait. She figured that perhaps the filly made accusations regularly for attention, that's what Boom put in her head regardless as to remain calm.

Bliss coughed, in and out of sleep, anxious and desperate to escape the clutches of Lust...Seth was no longer in control...that much was certain. She looked up helplessly as he held the innocent filly in his paws, threatening to tear her throat open in front of her father...

 

"Leave...her...be...*coughs*" Bliss begged Lust, "I'm...the one you want..."

 

Knowing he wasn't listening to her, nor paying much attention to her...she lowered her head and sobbed...not sure what else to do but hope and pray the poor family could fend for themselves...though knowing deep down, they were probably all dead where they stood.

"I'll do anything" Done pleaded his whole body shaking. "Anything! D-Do you want money? I can get you more then you could ever want! I won't call the police either! Just please put her down" He was on his knees in front of Seth still at a reasonable distance. "P-Please" He cried to the dangerous wolf.

 

Atlas stepped into the room completely unaware of the situation. "Something wrong, Done?" He asked as he approached. "Where's Two Bits?" The question was swiftly answered as he got into angle to see the hostage situation. Seth? What?

"You... You bastard" What? Seth was supposed to be the cool reasonable diplomat. Was he really this desperate to get them? 

 "Put her down" Atlas ordered caution in his stance. Lighting Bliss? What was she doing here? She wouldn't take part nor approve of this. That was the least thing on Atlas's mind though. Two Bits was more important.

Two Bits looked around worried. She may have been a filly but she understood danger. Her eyes locked on Atlas. 

"Uncle Atlas!" She screamed a begging tone in her voice. The ear piercing scream could be heard about the house.

Holding the filly close, the wolf glared at the two stallions, his eyes finally resting on Atlas. With a low growl, he spoke out. "I have no intentions of harming this little filly. Who would? However... I needed some leverage for you to listen, sir." He said to the house owner. "I'm sorry it had to come to this, but I had no choice. The two ponies you are housing are more dangerous than I could ever be. I came to stop them... I came to stop the vampires." He stated bluntly, glaring with hate on Atlas. All he needed to do was get the filly's father to know the truth, and then the vamp's little plan would fail. "If you really love this girl, Atlas... step down and surrender to justice... Justice for running from the law, attacking royalty, and the murder of an innocent mare."

 "What the hell has gotten into you, Seth..." Lighting Bliss was laying nearby dying. "Damn you. Put down Two Bits or I swear to Celestia I will end your miserable fucking life" Atlas's eyes faced red in anger. 

 

"What?" Done watched confused.

 

"But I will not bend to you. You revealed your trump card. You would never hurt the filly. You have no leverage" Atlas was playing with fire and he knew it. One wrong move and... 

 

Done listened in horror. What the hell was Atlas thinking?

 

"I have not attacked royalty. I ran from you. You lie to the father of a filly you are holding hostage for your selfish ends. If so much as lay a corrupt claw of yours on her you will never be safe again. I will have every asset I have hunt you. With enough time I can assemble a small army. Your status as a diplomat won't save you from the law. I will make sure not even your own homeland will protect you, Celestia help me"

 

"I-Is what he says true, Atlas?" Atlas turned to Done his eyes still red. He looked back at Seth not answering.

Bliss focused her eyes on the father and filly...and now Atlas was here too...which meant that Badaboom was surely...not far behind.

 

The father and daughter are in danger...they aren't a part of this...nor should they be...there's got to be a way to...

 

There's nothing you can do, now shut it! I'm trying to watch the show! Blight's words shrilled in her head.

 

No...I can...I can do...something.... While Lust was distracted holding the young filly in his arms, she looked to Atlas, locking eyes with him... Her eyes spoke of fear, and deep pain...but horror towards the wolf Lust...who was no longer Seth. She gave him a soft weak nod...then slowly, inched her way onto her feet...hoping not to be noticed...then calmly walked out the door.

 

And where do you think you're going? Blight's voice echoed as Blissy made it just out to the front yard of the house.

 

"I'm making a dis...traction..." she panted as she wobbly made her way through the grass.

 

Stupid... do I really have to put you in a coma...?

 

"You can try it...*coughs* ...but...I may never wake up again..." she smiled, "maybe I'll even die before your...*coughs* precious prophecy can be forfilled..." She made it out a few 20 feet through he yard, shaking with fever...before finally stopping to rest.

Lust knew how this was going down. He needed to show trust. And it only required one thing. 

 

He released Two Bits. Slowly, he let his grip slip, then glared at Atlas. "Your right. I'm not a blood thirsty monster, Atlas. But as your friend asked, was what I said true? Quick question of my own. Why do you have blood on your coat?" He said with a devious smile. Checkmate, buddy. On the stallion's fur, there was a hint of red.

 

Lust would have given a larger smile to his victory, but then he noticed they were down a mare... or two mares. Bliss and Boom. Looking around, he instantly found Bliss gone. Looking to the door, he saw the pony limping out onto the yard. Before bolting to her, he turned to the father. "I'm sorry for having did what I have done. And Im sorry fot leaving you with him." He said with a sympathetic voice, jumping out towards Bliss.

Badaboom had made her way back to the window to ponder more thoughts that didn't involve a little filly's childish accusations. She was able to hear some commotion from outside the guestroom, but hadn't paid enough attention to catch any of it, even the voices were cast aside. However once Boom managed to peer outside she caught sight of something that did spark her interest. What was Lightning Bliss doing here? And if she was here, then that ment Seth was undoubtedly here as well.

 

Without obvious sounds of distress or request coming from Atlas, the Pegasus must have had the wolf covered, for the moment at least. Badaboom used the opportunity to lift open the window, preparing to leap out. She had questions for the still sickly weak Alicorn Princess, and now was her chance. Just as she floated down to the ground below though, Seth came running out after the white mare.

 

Badaboom did manage to land between Lightning Bliss and the wolf before Seth could reach her, which may not have been entirely welcomed in Boom's mind. Especially after the last time she had met up with the vampiric canine. "Oh ho, look what we got here. Gunna tell me it's just a happy accident again that we stumbled across each other yet again?" Badaboom just couldn't hold back her sarcasm as usual. "Cause ya know, I wouldn't really believe ya this time." She added holding a protective stance looking over her shoulder to Lightning Bliss, but only for a moment.

 

"Y'all right Blissy? Still not lookin' so hot." Boom questioned to the mare while facing the wolf. It was a simple question in which the obvious answer didn't matter much, however Boom did get to know that LB tended to ramble. Even more so in times of hightend stress. In her current condition Lightning Bliss may not go on an overly exaturated spcheel, but if there was a problem between her and Seth, this is where Boom would get her answer.

"Daddy!" Two Bits ran into the arms of her father. After some cooing from Done Deal he turned to look at Atlas

 

What? How? Atlas looked at his clean white coat in shock to see drops of blood in his forelegs. How?! This was bad. Real bad!

 

"Atlas... What are you hiding?" A simple request. Nothing out o the ordinary for the situation at hand.

 

"I-I... I can't tell you. I had to do it though. If I hadn't I may have done something rash" Atlas took a step toward them but Done Deal covered her daughter and stepped back. He shook his head at the pegasus. 

 

It was soul crushing. Atlas could have broken down right then and there. 

"Fine then. I hope we can meet again" Atlas didn't know if that would happen. "I'm still Atlas. Remember that"

 

"Uncle Atlas?" 

 

"Not now honey. Atlas has some... problems right now" With that Atlas screeched back the guest room and grabbed his gear. Where'd Boom go? The window. she had gone after Lighting Bliss. Atlas grabbed Boom's bags as well and flew out the window.

 

"Boom! We gotta get outa here!" then he saw Seth running after Lighting Bliss. His eyes went red with rage. That wolf. 

 

"SETH!" Atlas boomed with the voice akin to a demon. Atlas landed next to Boom. "LEAVE US!" His eyes were glowing with anger. "Why do you hate us!? Why do you want to fuck up my life more that you already have!? I only want to live my life!" Lighting Bliss lay behind him. She was fleeing the wolf. What? Something was wrong, oh so very wrong. 

 

"Have you turned on your friend's as well?! What do you want from us?!"

"He's *coughs...* Lust...no Seth...*coughs coughs*" Bliss was struggling to breath now as she continued to take small paces away from all three vampires, trying her best to distance herself... Though Blight's curse wasn't making it any easier.

 

Fool...Shut your mouth up! We don't need these vampires to intervene! I want Lust to forfill the prophecy! Not Boom! Blight screeched so loud it made her head pound.

 

"Must...get...away *coughs coughs*" Bliss managed another two more passes up towards a fence...before finally giving away and slumping against it on her side. "Keep...away...from me...ALL OF YOU *gags from shouting*" She turned her head in the direction of the vampires, knowing she didn't get that far, but had some bewildered hope she was miles away from them. When that hope sunk like a rock, she began to cry...overcome by fear of the inevitable...One way or another, a vampire would feast on her soon...

 

But...not if there's a blood red moon... She told herself, just got to find a way to escape this....

 

"I don't...want...to die...by...vamperic...friends..." she pointed at Lust then...then swayed her hoof towards Boom and finally Atlas. Then slowly she fell to her side. "Kill me...just...kill me already Blight...bash my head in...*coughs and gages*" she spoke softly, not sure if any of them could hear.

 

You are so over dramatic, you know they won't kill you...let alone me...just not yet anyway...

 

I'd rather die then...to continue to suffer your curse any longer...to be a slave to this prophecy...

lust naked before the two ponies, glaring his one treasure. He had been wanting to dispatch these two for some time. They were merely fledglings, nothing compared to a true blood. Slowly approaching, he gave a wicked smile to the two.

 

"Well well, Boom and Atlas. The two screw ups that manage to break my plans. Oh, and I'm not 'Seth', you idiotic feather-brain. If you would have been listening to bliss for a while, you would of known who I really am. Lust: future king of the vampire race. The prophecy has foretold my rule... And that I must eliminate the one mare who draws to call herself the ruler." He barked out.

 

"As for you, atlas, I admire your blood lust. Too bad I probably just ended any hope of you ever returning to see your niece. You kill me here, and Done will never let you step a hoof in his house. Now to both of you, step aside... And I won't kill you now."

"As if," Badaboom snidely retorted to the wolf's most recent staments. Not moving from her position she waved a hoof in a passive gesture. "You really think that your destined to rule over Vampires, and you base this assumption on that of a myth? I think you've been spending to much time with Blissy there. 'Bout time you handed her off to some pony who won't continue to fill her head with such obsurd sentiments." Boom continued to pester.

 

Noting that the Alicorn had been slowly making her away from the group, Boom was more or less buying time for the other mare. Though it seemed that she wasn't quite cut out for it, she had managed to teleport once already today. That left a little hope that she could manage it again. "So, you wanna rule all vampires, good luck getting these two ta follow yer lead." Badaboom Box indicated to herself and Atlas. "And in case yer thick head can't grasp it...I'm telling ya that we ain't afraid of you. Sure you could try and kill us..." Boom's eyes suddenly flicked red, and her tone again darkened. "But I promise you, ya won't like the results."

"I'm...*coughs* not going...anywhere...with *coughs* any of you...*coughs*..." Bliss moaned at all of them, while struggling to get to her feet. "I'm...Princess...Lightning Bliss...and I...*coughs* order you all...to leave...Equestria!" She blurted out in half hysteria half demanding.

 

Really? You're going for the ol'I'm a Princess and my order stands bit? Blight snickered in her head, truely this curse has gone to your head. What makes you think any vampire will listen to a day walker?

 

In a fit of rage and desperation, Bliss somehow managed to find her feet again...and vigorously began to flap her wings. Her magic was done thanks to the teleporting...but surely...there was just enough strength to fly...wasn't there? She felt herself slowly being lifted off the ground as she beat her wings as hard as she could. Though what felt like she was putting in ten times the effort then usual, her wings were hardly making a sound, since they were hardly being moved enough, only good for a small air lift about a few feet off the ground...

 

Once she was three feet up she fluttered forward...only for her wings to finally give up, and drop her in the mud.

 

"Oaf...! *coughs and gages* This...isn't...working..."

"King? Ha! Like I would bow to a monster like you!" He shouted at the wolf still full of rage. What little logic still in his head confirmed what Seth er... Whoever had said. If he did something he shouldn't he'd never be let back into that house. He looked back at LB now in the mud. "You want her? Come get her!" Atlas flew behind him scooping up the Alicorn in his forelegs now covered in mud. 

 

"I don't want to hurt you" He cooed to her. "I'm still Atlas from the cabin. Please don't struggle" Even if she did it wouldn't get her anywhere. She was much too weak and Atlas was much stronger than he used to be.

 

"Forgot I could fly, mutt?!" Atlas shouted down to the wolf. He looked down at Boom and Lust. He'd just left Boom to fend for herself. All he could do was watch from the sky. It was up to her to run or fight now.

"Eerrhmmphf...." her back legs wiggled as she was lifted off the ground against her will, dripping with mud as Atlas lifted her high off the ground. "No...no please...don't!" She begged him, "please don't give me...*coughs*...to Boom! Don't! *coughs*"

 

Her huanches lightly kicked at his belly, but she was so weak she might as well been trying to tickle him.

 

She turned away from him, refusing to make eye contact and sobbed, knowing she was helpless to fight him.

"Shhh. Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you" He tried his best to calm down the frantic princess. "I'm not some evil pony out for your blood" He held her tight not letting her weak kicking loosen his grip. "I'm not going to let anyone hurt you, even Boom" Atlas had never thought about it that way. Not now though. Thinking is for later. Now is for action. 

"What happened to Seth? If you feel to weak say then I'll ask later once we get you somewhere safe" His words were earnest and true with his low and hopefully comforting voice.

Seeing Bliss being taken away by Atlas, Lust growled in rage. "You fool... Blight will have her vengeance for delaying the prophecy!" He bellowed out to the pegasus before glaring at the mare before him. "Maybe I can start early on the vengeance... You left this pathetic mare all alone. Last time, boom, I was weak. Yet I still managed to nearly kill you. How do you think you will last against me now?"

 

The wolf then kneeled low, growling in anger. With his eyes fire red, his claws digging into the snow, he readied to end Boom's existence. And with a pounce, the fight began. Slamming into the mare, he forced her down.

"SETH!!! *gags from her shriek*" Bliss belleowed and heaved, struggling to catch her breath from the illness as she watched Seth's body being controled by Lust, thrust into battle against a vampire. "You...*gags* have to stop him...please Atlas! He's not Seth! *cough cough*" She began to flap her wings despite he held on to her, they were weak frantic, slow moving flaps.

 

"Seth is...vampire! *Coughs* His...darker...impulses...we call it...we call him... Lust..." she gushed again, this time coughing up small drops of blood.

 

Shut up you fool... I'll make you barf up a lung next! Blight threatened.

 

"Seth...is now Lust..." she went on despite the burning pain in her lungs, "He's dangerous...and he means every word he says! Don't...*cough cough* let...Boom hurt...Seth...Seth...trapped...in mind..."

As Atlas swept Lightning Bliss away, Badaboom held her gaze on Lust who barked his anger towards the fleeing Pegasus. His attention wasn't held on his highjacked prize for long, however, as he pit his sights on Boom. Unlike last time where the speed of his assault was underestimated, Badaboom was prepared for her opponent. The lowered stance signaled preparation for a lunging strike.

 

Badaboom rotated her body and lifted with her back hooves in attempt to capture the leaping canine under the jaw with a buck counter action of her own. Immediately following she hovered a couple feet off the ground turning to observe Lust's next move while adding in a comment of her own. "Oh, I've got my ways to survive as you'll soon see." Boom responded with a clear smugness in her tone. Her red eyes burning with anticipation, she truthfully hadn't thought any of this through. Especially now that Lust was stalking them like prey. Boom figured she'd just try to buy time for Atlas to take Lighting Bliss and himself out of immediate dangers way.

"Don't talk right now" Atlas told her looking at the blood she coughed on his coat. "It's bad for you. Whatever Lust" The name didn't feel right on his tongue. "is planning we won't let that happen" Atlas looked down at Boom. She was on her own. He actually felt kinda bad he'd miss it.

 

"Good luck!" He hollered from the sky. "You know where to go!" With that he began to fly away toward Ponyville.

 

She's right there... Bite her... Yo could have all the power with one motion. You could be king!

 

No! I will not succumb to childish impulses. I am in control.

 

Are you now?

 

Shut up! I have my own mind and body! I didn't bite Seth back when I could have after I ran from the cabin.

 

How do you know if that was your own will? Do tell me, Atlas.

 

Why am I referring to myself in the third-person? And I do now I can act on my own will.

 

Atlas flew seamlessly through the city holding Lighting Bliss and both his and Boom's bags. "We're heading to Ponyville. You can rest there" Atlas told the princess. "Once again I won't hurt you"

 

You act on your own will? Let me think about that. Ah, so you acted on your own when you went and murder those three in the woods?

 

Atlas' flight wobbled noticeably before recovering.

 

That was different. I was possessed.

 

Right. Who says you're not now?

 

The thought was sobering. Was it true?

 

Where were we? Ah, yes. Go ahead, friend. Bit her.

 

Atlas looked hungrily at her neck. It was right there. He could just bite it. 

 

NO! I will not bite her! 

 

Oh, sure... Keep telling yourself that.

 

Atlas yanked his gaze away and kept his eyes front.

The wolf didn't expect the buck to the face, but it barely slowed him down. As he was being kicked back, he did manage to get a lash out with his claws on the mare's leg. Being sent flying a few yards back, the wolf stood up, cracked his jaw, then glared to Boom. "Big mistake." He bellowed in a dark tone. It was then did he charge at her and tackled her from her floating position. She struggled, managing to push his fangs away from her. "I will enjoy drinking every last ounce of what is left of your tainted blood!"

"NO PLEASE! *coughs*" she bellowed as Atlas took her away from the scene, just as she watched her friend take a buck to the face, "Fight it Seth! *coughs and gags* Don't...Let Lust...Control... You!!! Gah..." By the time she got the last few words out they were already far away, heading towards Ponyville. She struggled in Atlas's grasp thinking maybe if she just got loose, she could glide down and hide in the Everfree forest...She knew Zecora's place well enough, she could find a way to hide and rest there...But Atlas's grasp was firm and tight, he was...determined...to save her...Or he was planning something else in mind.

 

"Let...me go! I...*coughs* I order you!" She tried to sound like Princess Celestia when giving an order, "I will not...be taken...for prey of a...gang of vampires! *gags* You...say you'll not hurt...me but...You lie! You...you will eventually try...to bite! I can..." she looked into his eyes, the flash of red of vamperic hunger within them, "I can...see it in your eyes... You'll bite...Release me! NOW! GAH *coughs up another few drops of red*"

 

Oh sure, fight all you want, but he's not letting go...especially since he's with Boom on this... Blight shrugged, only having let up her curse on Bliss for the moment. So stupid...you're ruining our plans...If Boom drains you...she'll gain your powers, and she'll make it that much harder for me to defeat her... But if Lust were to bite you, we'd unite finally...as master and...tehehehe... Blight giggled, I should rephrase that... as King and Queen of the vampires.

 

No... Bliss replied back, I won't have anypony bite me tonight or any other night! I will fight you, I will fight this... I will fight all the vampires! I refuse to... She felt dizzy and light headed...feeling a sudden urge to throw up.

 

Shut up you... this is for being annoying! Blight retaliated.

 

"Gah...Land...please land!" She begged Atlas desperatly, not to escape but out of bodily need, "land for Celestia's sake! Unless you want me *holds her breath for a second* throw up all...over you!"

Reflecting on Atlas's words of luck Badaboom definitely felt as though she'd need it. Hovering off the ground she watched Lust crack his dislocated jaw back into place nearly effortlessly. The wolf immediately made a second lunge taking Boom out of the air, the mare hadn't noticed the scratch on her leg. Pressing the canine's dangerous fangs away with her hooves she grew a wicked smile as Lust threatend her blood. "Your one to talk!" She shouted back in reference to he labeling her own blood as tainted.

 

Badaboom could feel the wolf struggling to inch his fangs closer to her throat. Suddenly she sparked an idea that might by her sometime, if not it would be better than nothing. "Let's see how ya handle this!" She shouted letting her grip loose for a moment. However in that same instant she managed to place her headphones over her opponent's ears, cranking them on to volumes that rivaled the physic defying feat she preformed at the air port.

 

If the relentless wubs didn't slow Lust down, Badaboom also managed to sink into her own shadow pulling the wolf halfway into the ground along with her. Finally she finished by leaping out of Seth's shadow from between his hind haunches. So that she was standing behind him, as Lust himself was still shoved halfway into the earth. Badaboom inched back awaiting to observe how her Shadow Jumping ability had faired against the wolf. This may be her only opportunity to flee, she only hoped that Lust hadn't mastered the same Vampiric technique.

Nearing closer, Lust nearly had Boom. However, at the attachment of the headphones, the pony had won. The music blared into the wolfs ears, causing him to lash out in pain. He would have tore off the device, if he wasn't disoriented by being half inside the ground. In pure fury, his claws lashed out for anything and everything they could hit. Pulling himself out of the shadow, he ripped off the headphones. However, the damage was done. The pain from the biopics mixed in with Lust's ears caused the wolf to nearly pass out. Falling to the ground, he huffed in exhaustion, trying to stay awake. Lust's eyes slowly faded back to their normal colors, the wolf nearly asleep.

Badaboom watched the wolf's tantrum in attempt to snag her in any type of assault. Standing at the ready as List managed to pull himself up right she relaxed a bit as her for had fallen back to the ground. Noticing his eyes change just before seemingly going unconscious, Boom frowned. "I'm sorry, Seth. That must've been hard on ya." Her voice was sincere as her own eyes returned to their brilliant lime hue. She could tell that his bloodlust was hilted, but still it would be far to risky to assist the wolf in anyway. Looking him in the eyes once more, Boom smiled, only very weakly. "Good ta see yer still in there, though. Try to hold on to it." She recommended before turning away leaving the streets as quickly as possible, before a passerby could happen to appear. Realistically Boom was surprised no pony had.
