"You are not yourself, Atlas! You have fallen into corruption as I have. The only difference is, I am not blinded by it." He explained in an angered tone. Watching the pony rise, he knew to wait for him to make the first strike.

 

"And if I am not to be trusted, why did you lie to those you say I pushed you away from? I only told them of your crimes. You were the one to actually break the line of a civil being and a monster."

Zecora entered the home though paused realizing the earth pony knew of who was chasing them...even called him by his name.

 

"Alohay?" Zecora spoke in her traditional language before catching herself, "ah forgive my forigen blunder, I was so scared for the Princess, I was shaken and shuddered. But tell me this my pony who has help? How do you know of the one who chased us, how do you know his name is Seth?"

 

She laid the alicorn down on a nearby couch, and felt her head.

 

"Oh my this is not good, her fever is higher then it should!" She turned to the stranger earth pony with a one red eye, "she is sick with fever, I need your assistance! The fever is being caused by a evil menace!"

"Me? Not myself? I'm fine" Atlas scoffed. "I have succumb to the same corruption you have!" Atlas gave him a face of shock.

 

"I have not lied to them! I have told them the truth! I do not wish harm on anyone! You are trying to sow seeds of desist and lies in me to make me break. You are not to be trusted. YOU are the threat!" Atlas was close to just pouncing. He was getting edgy and was feed up.

 

"Now LEAVE and I will let you go in peace! Stay any longer or hurt Lighting Bliss or Zecora and I will end you"

Shaking his head, Seth backed off. Without Lust at his side, he still could control himself to a degree. He glared as he slowly made his way towards the forest. "Fine. I'll back off... but look into Bliss's eyes and tell me she don't fear what you are becoming. It may not hurt you... but it sure as hell kills me. I know how you feel... and I do feel bad for telling the family what you did... but that doesn't mean I regret it. They had to know." With that, the wolf began to trot off into the forest away from the cottage. He had conceded, seeing that he would just have to get Bliss back another way. It was not until he smelled a familiar scent trail that he couldn't help look towards the forest. It was Bliss's scent, and it was leaving the cottage.

 

He had a chance.

"I known she fears me... But that won't stop me from protecting her" He frowned sadly. "I am a monster and I know it but that won't stop be from trying to keep ponies safe and making this place better" Somewhere Atlas knew his logic was flawed. It worried him to say the least and he'd never show it. 

 

I'm going to kill her...

 

No! She won't be dead dead. Just a bit dead.

 

Still.

 

"Leave..." Atlas repeated sounding tired. He dropped down and began to approach the cottage his back the woods and Seth.

The inside of Boom's shack was consisted up of just four rooms. The entry way immediately blended into a type of living space with a couch, that the zebra waisted no time in laying Lightning Bliss upon, with a small coffee table in front of it, and an end table off the left arm. Of course there was also an unnecessarily large stereo system that took up a magority of the remaining space. There was also a small kitchen that from looks alone made it apparent it wasn't used much. Towards the back of her home was two other doors, both however were closed. One being the bathroom and the other was Badaboom's own room. Aside from assorted music records and CDs there wasn't much decoration about the mare's home.

 

"The name's Boom. Be sure to remember it, you'll be hearing it a lot." Badaboom replied to Zecora. "I know of Seth because he had been chasing me all around Equestria, never figured he'd come this far though. That wolf is just too determined over some stupid prophecy. He thinks that he's lord of the vampires, or at least that he will be." Badaboom added before moving closer to the pair.

 

Not knowing what kind of assistance she'd be able to offer Boom stood a moment overlooking the seemingly unconscious Alicorn Princess. It's not a sickness, not a physical one at least. Her darker half is influencing her mind so much that the strain of holding her in check is causing the Princess Lightning Bliss too much stress.' Badaboom could hear herself inform, however that didn't much help in giving away to suppress Blissy's condition. "Whatcha want me to do, zebra?" Boom asked in away that, to her was normal, but the subliminal tone hid a dark intent.

Zecora seemed a bit intimidated if not 'helpless' in this pony's home. There was some...hidden agenda she couldn't figure out, but one thing was for sure, this pony was more predator then anything she could tell. She sighed though, shrugging off the feeling for the moment. Right now it was Seth who was the threat to the Princess, not this mare.

 

"Please understand what I'm about to say. The prophecy is true as night and day," Zecora began to explain to the pony, "you see Lightning Bliss was brought to me by Atlas," she revealed, "in order to avoid Seth's slaughter of masses. The wolf is a good friend to the Princess Bliss, but with his vampire nature returning, there was no time for this. The vampire wolf seeks the prophecy, to drink the life force of a royal you see? The vampire people are withheld in Tartarus as the Legend fortold, that only the true princess of Vampires dare be so bold...She must drink an alicorn, to free her kind, but it won't be easy for evil will find..."

 

Zecora took a step back, looking down at Bliss and rubbing the weakened alicorn's head.

 

"Lightning Bliss must die...for the vampire to succeed...But I cannot wish that on her for such a horrible deed...It saddens me greatly since I know of the vampire kind, as my zebra culture used to live among vampires, we did bind. Then the alicorn war against the vampires occurred...it was so sad to see how both sides endured. Yet here we are now...the vampire kind will be free...But at what cost but the life of the alicorn death spree?" She continued to stroke the shivering white mare's head, "I know you may not believe me, you have that right, but actions speak louder then words...You...do have this sight..."

 

She turned to Boom then, glaring into her eyes.

 

"You are a vampire...I can see that now and clear...So what becomes of me...and Princess my dear?"

It didn't take the wolf too long for him to trace down Bliss's sent. However, he did get a few wrong turns due to it's weakness. Eventually, he did arrive and found a second cottage. How many ponies lived in these woods?

 

As he approached the door, he was about to open it when he heard what the two had to say about him. It hurt him knowing he was the cause of the situation... and he was powerless to stop it if he did go near the mare he wanted to protect. With a frown of near depression, the wolf gave a look to the cottage and then to where he came. To save the one he couldn't harm, he would have to leave her.

 

Slowly, he walked back to the first hut.

Seeing as Seth hadn't returned, Lust was still free to roam in bliss's mind. Well,... free wasn't  the exact word. Sitting with Blight, Lust spontaneously barked out in pain, gripping his side. "Damn that wolf! He knew he could get rid of me! He wanted me away from his body. I was weak when I came... now I have no connection to the other half!"

Atlas knocked. "It's me! I scared him off!" No answer. "Ya'll okay? You can trust me" Nothing. Atlas turned and kicked the door down. Empty. Atlas's mind raced to calculate what could have happened. 

 

They ran... When we were distracting Seth they must have fled.

 

Seems so...

 

We have to hurry. Who knows where they ran off to.

 

Right.

 

Atlas flew up and began to scan the trees as he flew just over them. He'd never find them like this. The trees were too thick for that. He'd have to hope they would be smart enough to last on there own for a bit.

"Gah...what are you doing out there?" Blight demanded of her master, "you know how hard it is for me to keep this brat subdued? Her power of peace isn't to be underestimated you know!"

 

She scowled looking at the partly transparent image of her master Lust.

 

"I thought you had this all well in paw...Now my weakened excuse of a body, is being protected by the stupid Zebra and now we're in the hooves of Badaboom too! Was this your plan all along oh mighty master?" Blight snorted again and flicked her long bloody lion tail at the evil wolf's nose.

'Not another one,' Badaboom sighed mentally. "Look, I know how the story goes. I've been hearing it nonstop since a certain object fell unknowingly into the wrong hands." The mare responded to Zecora in an obvious tone of annoyance, but her crinkled expression loosened when the zebra changed the subject to the peace between her kind and that of the vampiric race. Zecora's final question made Boom smile maliciously. Slowly she pressed in on the pair. "Well first things first." Her tone dark with wicked intent.

 

"We've gotta try and get Blissy back on her hooves right?" Badaboom continued innocently, followed by a laugh that she couldn't hold back. Once Boom was right next to the weakened Princess she hovered above her. Though Boom's eyes still held the vampiric red glow, there was no bloodlust behind them. "I've got an idea that just might help her out. However it'd be very dangerous to try, but if you don't have any plans what other choice do we got?" Badaboom asked stepping a couple paces back to ease the zebra's worries, and or suspicions.

Seth had trotted back to the hut, moping over his hatred from his friend. He almost missed the stallion circling the trees above. With a sigh, he cleared his throat and called up to him.

 

"You were right... I'm not to be trusted. You got what you wanted: me away from Bliss and Boom. The closer I get to them... The more I put the one I care for in danger..." He spoke, looking to the ground.

Zecora felt immideatly helpless and more prey like then ever as Badaboom made her way closer to the slumbering alicorn.

 

"What do you plan to do...mighty walker of night? Hurt Lightning Bliss? Or help her fight?" Zecora took a step protectively towards Bliss.

Badaboom held her devious grin as her fangs extended menacingly.

 

"I plan to get to the bottom of this,

by infiltrating her mind.

All and all swing, hit or miss,

But we're running low on time.

Now I ain't too sure how all this'll work out,

However I'll try my best to help her fight.

Lightning Bliss needs some guidance no doubt,

And as a bonus, I may get to meet this Blight."

 

The mare answered in a flurry of ryhmes, much like the zebra had been speaking, but at a quicker pace. Then before Zecora had a chance to object, Boom attempted to mind meld with the Alicorn Princess. If she was a vampire it should be possible, Badaboom thought to herself, but honestly the vampire pony didn't have much experience in this particular field. Yet after a quick mental conflict Boom was able to break Lightning Bliss's mental barrier, and just following her own body fell limp to the wooden floor of her shack.

Now in the void of the Alicorn Princess's subconscious, Badaboom felt a strange sickly sensation. Almost a complete lack of Peace that Blissy herself represented. If this odd feeling of dispare wasn't bad enough, Boom was also able to feel the presence of multiple souls within the one mind of Lightning Bliss. Though it seemed as if she wasn't going anywhere, Badaboom Box knew she was delving deeper.

 

Badaboom progressed further into the void feeling progressively worse regarding her own mental stability, but held firm. Until she could see them, familiar figures, all three. One on the invisible ground clearly Lightning Bliss, and another that was shockingly similar. Who Boom assumed was the darker half of Lightning Bliss, the one she knew only as, Blight. Standing next to the upright bat winged Alicorn, was the large shape of the vampiric form of Seth, Lust. Badaboom then made her presence known by landing down a good distance away, yet in plain sight, but hesitated towards being the one to start conversation.

 

"Well, well, if this isn't an unwelcomed surprise. Just can't get away from ya, can I? Lust?" Boom questioned rhetorically. "Truly gotta say I didn't expect to see you here at all. So have you been the one to put Blissy in her, sad, current state? Or was it...?" Badaboom trailed off scrolling her sight over to the tall, slender, form of the vampiric Alicorn.

Blight turned in shock to see that hers and Blissy's mind was somehow invaded by another vampire.

 

"Im-Impossible!" Blight shrieked in frustration, "Lightning Bliss isn't a full fledged vampire! She's still alive and in pony form so how could you invade her mind??"

 

Then she looked at her master Seth, calculating how it infact worked with each others mind-melts. But it was clearly obvious to her, they were master and apprentice, they could merge minds because they were interlinked by blood...However Badaboom would have to linke with a vampire in order for the mind melt to work...unless...

 

"Of course..." Blight's frustrated frown turned to a villianous smile, "my poweress is so dominating in Bliss's body...that my mind is stronger then hers now and is giving off more vampieric stamina by the minute!" She grinned with delight and glared at her uncouncious better half, seeming to be tied up by darken ropes. "So sad...the great and powerful Princess of Peace...can't even keep control of her own mind..."

 

"Blight...enough..." Bliss groaed and forced herself awak, slowly lifting herself up. Blight merely watched as the smaller alicorn rose, still grinning with confidence. "You haven't won yet..."

 

"No I suppose not...however I don't like this intrusion of Boom entering our...I mean... My domain..." Blight pointed to the earth pony vampire then.

 

Bliss turned to see infact she was being mind raped by multiple vampires at this point. Her eyes shrunk in horror seeing Boom here.

 

"If...if you're here...then...then that means my body is near...you and... Oh no..." Bliss gulped and sat down, weeping.

 

"That's right sister... Boom is in possession of our body...And unless my master Lust can regather us back and away from her...She'll more likely have her way with us when the Bloodmoon rises soon tonight..." Blight snarled and stomped towards Boom, "still think the prophecy is a lie? You stupid vampire...You're hardly worthy of the name... The time for vampire kind is upon us...and It is I along with SETH! That will finally rule our kind...and the streets of Equestria will run with rivers of blood...and all will know the day...when prophecy fortold that a Vampire Princess failed to do her duty...and died at the hands of the true Vampire Lord! ME!!! AHAHAHAHhA"

 

Bliss continued to weep as she watched her darker self continue to mock Boom. This was dropping down the gaultent for her now...One way or another she was going to be a victiem of a vampire ritual...It didn't matter who at this point...she was the losing pawn in this game.

The dark wolf looked to the three mares. He was both in pain from the lack of power as well as the long and pointless argument. Slowly standing, he growled.

 

"Ok, you three. Not that I don't like this little chat... But my head is driving for blood. Can one of you go and bite that zebra's neck? Seth had been blood sober for years. I need this!" He barked at them. "Come on damn it! Bite some one. What kind of vampires are you?"

"You...keep...Zecora out of this!" Bliss snorted at Lust as he made his vicously hungry threat, "she's done nothing to you...she's just...trying to help me...Spare her...please...I beg you all..."

 

She darted her eyes on Lust, to her dark impulse Blight, to Badaboom...locking eyes on her.

 

"If...you are to do away with me...at least...Spare Zecora....please Boom..."

"Truthfully I'm not sure how I got here. Just kinda went in on a whim, ya know? Your probably right though." Badaboom responded to the standing Alicorn, with little emotion outside of sarcasm displayed in her voice. "Your one to talk as well, Miss tall and mighty...So sad to see that the self proclaimed ruler of my race can't seem to keep a lowly little intruder, like myself outta your head." The mare continued her retort taking a step closer.

 

However Blight seemed a little too prepared for this and quickly responded with another short rant. Again in regards to the prophocy, and how she and the wolf, Lust, would be the ones to come out on top. "Oh snap! That's tonight?" Badaboom took a couple paces back in false surprise. "Well then, I suppose I should quit wasting time, and prove to you that I am destined to be the Princess of the BloodMoon! Boom's voice was dark and echoing as she cut in Blight's maniacal laughter giving her first true interest towards completeing the prophecy.

 

Then as Lightning Bliss continued to sob on the invisable ground, Lust decided to cut in. "Hey now, getting bored so easily? the fun's getting close to the start. No time to be worrying about some poetic zebra." Boom spoke out again in a mix matched voice. Her attention then fell onto Lightning Bliss once more as the Alicorn princess begged for Zecora's safty, especially when she used Boom's name in particular. "Still don't trust me, huh? After I came all the way in here to try and save ya. Which makes me wonder...I came in to try and kick the cause of your current illness out, but what would happen...if I pulled you out instead?" Badaboom questioned closing in on Blissy.

Bliss's emotions, fears all swelled up inside her mind...seeming to tap into her magic, a single for protection.

 

All in all, it was enough for her to whinnie out in terror. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!"

 

-- Outside in the real world --

 

"GAH STAY OUT *coughs and throws up*," she threw herself upward, bawling up another liter of liquid, nearly ontop of poor Badaboom in the process.

 

"ALOY!" Zecora whinnied, "Lightning Bliss you are awake! You must get up quickly you're life is at stake!"

 

Bliss looked to Zecora thinking for a second she was safe, then turned to realize the glowing red beaming eyes of Badaboom laid squarely over her weakened ill form. She had managed to free herself of Blight's unconcious hold...but the wretched dark mare still managed to keep her spell of illness on top of her. What can I do? I can't...run...

 

"Zecora...get out of...here...Run...go...save...yourself..." Bliss said to the zebra in a firm voice.

 

"What are you speaking of Lightning Bliss? I will not leave you here to this Vampire Miss!" Zecora took a defense stance, as if readying herself to attack Badaboom.

 

"GET OUT NOW ZECORA!! I ORDER...*coughs* YOU!" Lightning Bliss belowed in a powerful Equestrian royal voice that shook the cabin. The zebra was shocked by the sheer might of it and obidently obeyed its roar and fled the cabin, galloping at full force. Once the cabin was empty of the Zebra, Bliss looked to the red eyes of Boom. "So...here we are..." Bliss sighed and laid her head back down, "what comes next?"

Zecora continued to run, hoping to seek out anypony that'd be willing to help her, whether that be Atlas or anypony.

Badaboom was caught of guard by the sudden pulse of magical energy that forced her out of Lightning Bliss's mind, and back into her own body within her living room. The mare had to shake the strange sensation of being bounced back into the real world. Boom then shifted to the side as the Alicorn coughed up a dangerous amount of fluid, luckily not getting any of the substance on her. However the grey vampiric mare was again taken back when the zebra decided to take a protective position between Lightning Bliss and Boom.

 

"I thought you were one to understand me, Zecora." Badaboom sighed, slightly disappointed in the zebra's actions. Before Boom was able to elaborate her entire shack was shook by the thunderous voice of Lightning Bliss demanding the zebra again to leave. Then without surprise to Boom Zecora obeyed, though it was a bit startling to hear the princess shout in such a way.

 

After watching Zecora flee the property, Boom noticed that Blissy was now looking back at her. Shaking her head Badaboom gritted her teeth, her elongated canine fangs growing more prominent. "What comes next?" The grey made repeated again in a voice of disapproval. Flashes of long ago shrowded Badaboom's mind for a moment. "You know? I really didn't want things to end up like this...I thought we could all be friends..but now I see that you will just never see me as such. Even someone who tried to kill me, who hated me with an unnecessary grudge learned to look past what I am, to learn who I am." Badaboom began a speech as she again began to close in on Lightning Bliss until she was standing right over her. "Of course that only happened after I had the worries of life taken from him, and even after the incident he was able to call me friend...In short..If this world isn't going to accept me..." Boom knelt down to be hovering next to Bliss's over sized ear. "I'll teach it to fear me, instead."

Bliss was indeed terrified...but not now of the vampire...but for her very life existence. Though inevitably she had already accepted her fate to some extent...but the fear of Boom unleashing Blight...was just too much to bare.

 

"You don't get it do you..." Bliss sighed, "I am a fool yes...cause I know not of your kind...But Zecora does...she was just...doing what she felt was right...for me...You see," she took a breath, coughed, then continued, "she told me the story of vampires...that you all were once...a proud race...with a noble princess that ruled over you...But your power...triggered fear amongst...the alicorn pony race...Fear...lead to war...and war...lead to alicorn extension...and banishment of the entire vampire kinds...all but a few...it seems..." She slid back, turning to her other side with her back facing Boom.

 

"The vampire kind used to be peaceful Zecora said...and I trust Zecora...but...she doesn't support in what must be done...for the vampire race to come back to their rightful place... It's too dangerous because..." She turned her head to face Boom then, tears dripping down her cheeks, "I have to die...so you will succeed...but if you do succeed...You might die as well...don't you see? If you kill me... You'll release Blight...my darker self...You have no idea...how powerful she might become...Can't you see this now...? You can't just...let her be released! You can't murder me for...your own ambitions! I'm...*coughs* I'm sorry what's happened...to your vampire kind...But am I to blame for it all? Must I die...so they can live...? Must you risk dying yourself??? Risk facing Blight...?"

The lone wolf had left Atlas a while back, now moping under a rotting tree. With the situation known to him, he had been facing reality and facing what he had done. He risked the life of his friends, attacked a child, killed two innocent lives... What did that make him? A monster... For the past half hour, he had been tearing up to that very fact.

 

However, hearing hoof steps, the wolf looked up to see the zebra. Why was she scared? Blight? Boom? He had to know. Standing, he trotted over to talk to the zebra. "Hey, wait!" He called.

The dark wolf had been thrown out of Blisses mind, only crippling him more. He was forced to travel across the land in order or get to Seth's mind. When he arrived... He was nearly gone.

"ALHOA LOY ALOAHY!!!" Zecora whinnied at the sight of the gray wolf. She reared up so dramatically that she actually toppled over, falling into a bush and getting tangled up by vines in the process. "OY NO! I'M NOT TO BE FOOD! PLEASE BE GONE, GO ON SHUU!"

 

When the wolf didn't seem to listen or hear her, she curled up, holding only her hooves out to protect herself.

 

"Vampire wolf...once friend of Lightning Bliss..? You speaking to me before you end this?"

The wolf approached, not getting too close. "Easy... I don;t mean you harm any more... Lust is nearly gone and I have control." He spoke, offering the mare a paw, pulling her our of the bushes. "I was wondering why you are not with bliss... what has happened?" He then asked, fear filling his eyes.

Zecora noticed the change in the wolf's eye, it wasn't filled with a blood hunger rage like she noticed before...It was calm and full of pain and sadness. She cautiously took his paw and pulled herself out of the vines and bush, dusted herself off...and took a breath.

 

"You are Seth, Wolven Diplomat? Friend of Lightning Bliss, though not recently as of late..." Zecora sighed, "but I see you are in control, I hope you will stay so. There isn't much time though...you must go!"

 

She darted her head back in the direction she came in, "Lightning Bliss, trapped between two villianous might, Badaboom...and the evil Blight..." her eyes teared up a bit, "it may already be too late...If Boom drains Blissy...we may all have a blood red fate..."
