movies/tv Like A Roller Coaster: An Analogy

So I've had this analogy that a movie or a TV Episode is like a roller coaster. Here's why

Leaving the Station: So the movie starts with the roller coaster leaving the station making it's way to the chain lift. Here, we meet the characters, set the conflicts and get a general feel of the surroundings. Not much action here

The Chain Lift: Here, the main character is slowly achieving fame or a big event is about to take place. For example, in "A Canterlot Wedding", the hype for the wedding was building as the characters were prepping.

The Round Turn: This is perhaps one of the most important elements. It is right before the big drop. Here, morals are tested and things are put at stake. A great example of a well-made round turn could be found in "A Canterlot Wedding" again. Twilight acuses Cadence of being evil.

The Big Drop: This is the most depressing part of the movie or TV episode. Here, a bad move was made by one of the characters that causes friendships to be broken, maybe a life lost or other tragic events. In "A Canterlot Wedding", the case was Twilight being abandoned by all of her friends.

The "Resolution Ride": This is the exciting part of the movie or episode, where we get to see the characters resolving the big issue at hand. This is where the highest amount of action takes place. In "A Canterlot Wedding", This Day Aria, The Changeling Fight and Chrysalis' defeat all are included.

So, what do you think of this analogy? Can you see it fitting into most movies and tv episodes you watch?
