I was forced on the ground when something tackled me, I took a look at it and was met with some one eyed beast that looked like it was from a horror film, and It looked pissed. This was all the invitation I needed to try and force myself out from under the beast, I used my hands to try and belly crawl out of the monsters grip so I could get my knife. I would have shouted but it could bring guards to us which I did not want so I just continued on.

the beast struggled to drag the human away to its superiors. John weighed much more than it had anticipated and its rubbery limbs tried its hardest to drag him away. Instead, it was dragged along where John wanted to go, its amphibious feet scraping and creating a trail of dirt in the ground. Squealing like a pig in frustration.

I looked at this and chuckled, I just got up and to my surprise even though it was huge It was not as heavy as it should have felt. I took my knife and stabbed it into the creature's eye,and covered its mouth so it would not alert everyone around me. After the life went out of it I took my knife and arm out of the creature's eye socket and skull. Letting the blood pool. I walked to my companions a little traumatized, but nothing I couldn't deal with due to it acting more like a dog than a sapient being.

As John made his way to the group once more. He could see a blue mare vomiting into a bush with Twilight holds her hair back. Aaron waited for her to stop and saw John approaching. He smiles and waved at his companion approaching. "Hey. This blue chick is going to help us get a train started for our journey, but she is-" Aaron was interupted by another heavy stream of vomiting into a bush followed by Twilight comforting her. "Heavily intoxicated." "TIxie is not drunk, she is... u-under a curse." Aaron rolled his eyes.

I rolled my eyes as well at the blue girls antics, "Of course you are." I said sarcastically. "Anyway Twilight I ran into some one eyed lizard thing. Its dead from a severe case of eye and brain damage but what is it? I asked wanting to know what I just killed.

Twilight looked to John in surprise. "That was one of Tireks wandering eyes. He uses them to watch over us. If you killed it, he will not be all that happy." Aaron chuckled. "Well, he better get used to it. We're going to start messing with more of his stuff in the future." Trixie raised herself from the bush and approached the three. "Lord Tirek you say, well then the great and powerful trixie will be more than happy to help you in your quest. The train wont get you far though." Twilight looked to her in confusion. Trixie gave a sigh and proceeded to explain. "The tracks have been blocked by the everfree. You wont be getting far."

I sighed, looking at Trixy and Twilight, I spoke, "Well it seems that Tirek knows now of Aaron and I and will have guards here at any moment. We better get the hell out of here soon, before we have unwanted company." After ending my conversation I made my way into the train.

Twilight, Aaron, and John got onto the train. The train tilted to the side a bit as they stepped onto it. Trixie cast a spell on the train, bringing the machine to life. Trixie called out to them before they departed. "Remember. Once you get to the vines, get off immediately. And do-" There was a crash as Trixie's home was thrown over the train. Looking back, they could see a large minotaur approaching. "Go! Go now!" Twiliganhht flipped the switch, propelling them forward leaving Trixie behind. "Thank you Trixie." Twilight said as she went back to controlling the train.

I sat down and let myself think about the events that have transpired, today and just muttered, 'How the hell did all this happen, I had a life, family, friends. Now I'm on some foreign planet, and am expected to eliminate a tyrant that oppresses his subjects which, happen to be hooved, biped, talking equines.' I asked myself over and over.

Twilight heard John's words and felt a small wave of guilt. She had not intended for him specifically. He was just picked at random. But she too started asking herself questions of how things came to this. Her friends were gone, so many lives lost, and no perceivable hope for the future. She let out a sigh as the train sped down the tracks. Aaron looked out to the tracks and tapped Twilight's shoulder. She looked out and saw what he meant. The vines were coming and coming fast. "Okay guys. Almost time to head out by hoof."

I got up and opened a roof hatch and climbed up it, remembering the times I did some parkour, and I prayed to God that I was still as agile as I used to be. "So far we don't have our fanclub following us, but you guys better get up here and be ready to jump!" I shouted voicing myself over the wind, as I watched the vines approach closer.

Twilight put the train on a direct path with the tracks as she made it to the top of the train. She saw the tracks and the vines of the forest next in front of her. It was either that or a giant chasm. "Okay. On three. One... two... THREE!" On three, they jumped as the train fell over and headed down the chasm, crashing on various rocks. The three fell through the vines and down a hill. Twilight was being scraped and prodded as she fell. But to the humans, the thorns were less than a neusance. Sure it tore their clothes, but against their skin, they were comfortable with an occasional tickle. The three stopped rolling and were on the ground now. As twilight looked up, her cloak was tattered and torn. All the humans had were torn clothes and a bit of a headache.

I got up and shook the headache away and, looked at Twilight who was also recovering with some minor scratches, I checked myself and found that I just got my clothes torn up, with no scratches, I decided to help Twilight up and asked her a question that has been pestering me for a while now. "Twilight do you have a clue as to why Aaron and I are stronger and more durable than the creatures and people here?" "I even dragged Tirek's watch dog when I crawled, away, hell the thorns that should have scratched us did almost nothing."

Twilight got up from her fall and began to come up with a solution for their reactions to the local life. "Well... it could be possible that Equiis Gravity is much different than where you are from. Your physical attributes should be much more stronger here than back at your home. Also making you a bit stronger" Aaron was intreuged by this and saw a large bolder in the ground. Digging his hands into it, he began to lift. In a matter of seconds, he tore it from the earth and saw that the boulder was much larger than he was and would have crushed a normal human. "Cool. Hulk... SMASH!!!" Aaron tossed the bolder high over the trees and out of sight. "Ha. I have always wanted to do that. Check one off the bucket list."

I nod my head at the explanation, "Makes sense, we have denser bones and stronger muscles due to our one G planet and because of this planet having the gravitational pull less than Earths our bodies don't need to resist as much so in theory we can also run faster, for longer and jump higher. But we need to exercise a lot to keep our muscle mass or we will lose our advantage. Not to mention our bodies will need to readjust once we get back home." I say in warning to Aaron, and to inform Twilight and Trixie. 

 

(I researched the effects that low gravity can have on the body over time. Also this is something not explained in fictions and often ignored. Not to mention this advantage needs a weakness no matter how seemingly small.)

I look at the small group, and say, "Well lets be off to wherever it is that you are taking us Twilight, I'm sure that the guard will be out in full force and I can't fight worth a damn." I wait for Twilight to lead and follow her keeping my hand on my knife just in case something goes to hell out here.

twilight nodded and took them down the dark path of the Everfree. Her prosthetic clinking against the rocks as the strolled onto the dark forest. The tree's blocked off what little light was there. The foliage was so thick, it was impossible to not knock anoything around. In the background, sounds of various animals could be heard. Aaron looked out and saw a few florescent plants. At least he thought thats what they were. "Stay close guys. And don't make a sound."

I nod and lighten my steps so the sounds I make are reduced, I draw my knife as well hoping to be ready to combat any attackers, with a silent prayer I continue forward. My heart pounding, forcing me to take deep breaths to slow it down. I was not much of a religious person but these events so far concreated my faith in the unknown.

 

Hell if I was on another planet like this, It would not be too many steps ahead to believe that there is a divine entity that watches the Earth and all his creations offering salvation to those who have faith in him, along with a revenge ridden banished angel that wants to pull people down with him.

The three went on. Aaron could hear scurrying along the trees and some falling leaves in the darkness. He pulled out a flash light and began to look around for any dangers. "Keep the light to the ground and on the path. No need to disturb the wild life." Aaron nodded at Twilights whispered advice. Continuing on with caution.

(There's no slenderman. But after what they run into here, you are going to wish it was.)

My eyes were finally adjusting to the darkness, when I heard the noise I only saw some shadow of which i could not see the figure of  too well. My grip tightened on my knife, as my eyes darted around not staying in one area for too long. I always made sure that I was near Twilight and Aaron during the walk.

Aaron held the flashlight onto the path, trying not to alert anything that may want to have there heads on a silver platter. The trees began to shift and shake on occasion. Twilight kept walking forward and Aaron provided light for them. There was a drip of liquid that fell onto Aaron. He wiped it away with his hand and found it very viscous. As if it was saliva. Turning around, Twilight and Aaron saw figures past John. There faces looking in fear. "John. Dont make any sounds. Just... keep moving."

I nodded a shiver going down my spine, I just continued on quietly moving forward and not looking back like so many people do in horror movies. ' Wow I'm now equating things with fiction, one more step towards insanity I suppose.'  with that thought done I just put on my new metaphorical calm mask and continued following Twilight and Aaron.

Aaron, twilight and John were walking in a group now. Staying close and not uttering a sound. THe figures were getting closer and closer. Twilight could also see the same figures crawling down the trees. The sound of nails could be heard scratching against trees. The wound was everywhere. Aaron tried to move on but came to a halt when one of the creatures stood before him. It was insect like with big, pale eyes glaring back at him. It had a black exoskeleton and its midsection looked like it hadnt eaten in a long while. IT let out a hiss as its mouth opened, a trail of drool oozing out. Though, it could not see him or the others. Suppressing a scream, Aaron maneuvered around it and kept going. Twilight did the same and the group kept going, now dodging the decrepit monsters.

I was walking around the insects when I messed up with my footing and a twig snapped. I slowly continued and hoped against all odds that It would not detect me, but murphy seemed to have something against me at the time so its attention was right on me. Supressing a scream I carefully picked up the pace.

The sound of the twig alerted the massive hoard. One of the beings landed in front of them and let out a massive screech, startling both Aaron and Twilight. "Run!" That was all the incentive Aaron needed. Twilight grabbed John's arm and began to take him through the now shambling crowd of insectoid hunger strikers. Their mouths opened to reveal a set of fangs and a bright blue tongue. Each hissing and grabbing for them. However, the group came to a stop due to the road now being cut off by a thick crowd of the creatures. "Well, Twilight, it looks like we are up a creek. What do we do now?" Twilight looked around, scared out of her wits. "I... I dont know."

I look around for an escape, and can't find one with a sigh I look at my knife, and speak a silent prayer. Looking at Twilight and Aaron, I spoke in a hushed whisper, "I'm about to do something stupid, so on my mark get the hell out of here, I'll follow soon enough." With that

 

I gathered my wits for what I was about to do, to say I was scared would be the understatement of the era, to be honest I was terrified. All I had to fight these things was a knife, and faith in a God that scientists try so hard to disprove and christians to prove, despite both being impossible, and there was only evidence, nothing more nothing less. 

 

I shouted "Run!!" before they could protest and I let adrenaline, instinct, muscle memory and quick reflexes from years of Free Running take over and I attacked the nearest one going for the belly  where I assumed the least Chitin would be present.

 

(Listened to "Blow Me Away" by Breaking Benjamin while typing LOL)
