private In the skies.

Mr. Critical

     The ship rocked and creeked as the rain pelted the small vessel that floated through the skies, trying to take its inhabitants home to the little village on a shard of land. The ship only had two crew members, but the ship was so small, that was all it required to run. The two flew their vessel through the skies in search of work, trying to make a life for their families. Aaron, the ships navigator, had his hands on the helm as the rain fell upon the balloon that held them up. Growing tired as he steered the little vessel home. All the while wondering where his companion had gone to.

@@Mr. Critical,

The gray anthropomorphic she-wolf made her way towards the helm, her golden eyes glancing out at the pouring rain. Naturally, the storm impeded the little ship's progress and made for a small bit of turbulence along the way, but she knew that this ship would be able to pull through. It had been reliable for the two of them thus far, and she couldn't see how it would suddenly fail them now. Walking up to her companion, she glanced outside before looking to the human male. One of her ears flicked as she smiled and tried to make a remark to lighten the mood. "Looks like it's raining cats and dogs, eh?" She gave a chuckle, hoping she would find the cliche phrase amusing in the context that she was a canine.

@@Miss Reaper,

Aaron heard her little quip but out a small chuckle. It wasnt that funny, but he figured he could humor her a bit. He had worked with the wolf-woman for a few months, but this was the first either of them had tried to have a conversation. Aaron didnt even know her name. They just did there own thing and went about things, and left for home when they docked. But, he liked that she wanted to try. "Indeed it is." Aaron didnt know how to go about this. In the distance, he could see a flickering light. Knowing full well that it was their home town. "Ah. Almost home."

@@Mr. Critical,

The she-wolf Vivienne, who would have been known as Vivi to her friends if she had anyone aside from her companion Aaron, kept her smile as she looked out the window once more, her bushy tail swishing slightly. She briefly mused about how she liked the steady sound of the rain falling before she noticed the light. That light was always a welcoming sight, a beacon that shone even in the bleakest of nights to guide the way home.

Aaron brought the vessel into the docks. Anchoring it next to the other air ships. Compared to the others, Aaron and Vivienne's ship looked like a hunk of junk with beds in it. Aaron shut the power off to the ship he looked to the small town just outside of the wind shield. Aaron turned to his companion and he thought he would take a leap of faith. "So, um... would you... like to get a drink? I know you may have other things to do, but... I got nothing to go back to and thought you would like to talk. Maybe get to know each other a bit."

@@Mr. Critical,

Vivienne's expressive ears flicked up slightly in mild surprise as she looked at her companion. She paused for a moment in consideration before answering. "Well, sure... I don't see the harm in it," she said with a slight smile. "Besides, it... might be nice for us to get to know one another a little better." After all, she thought, they were traveling companions that had known one another for some time and yet... didn't really know one another at all.
