 With a nod Silver Tongue trotted up to the next tree, "Right, celestia forbid I do something i'm good at like selling apples. Well might as well give it my all.". Focusing all of his anger and frustration he had bottled up from the past two months into one buck to the tree, all while being very careful not to let it show in his face.

Applejack saw a hint of anger in Silver's face and attitude. "What are you angry for? The tree didn't do anything to you." Applejack said with a rather stern look. Thunder watched from afar. "He'd better keep control of his anger...or else I might have to make him control it." Thunder stated.

 "Pleas Thunder, it was practically my job to control emotions.", Silver Tongues anger was gone just as suddenly as it arrived, but his face turned very serious when he turned to face Applejack. "I messed up but thats not your problem Applejack. besides it had to come out sometime, and what better time than then?".

"Well still. It's better to control your anger." Applejack stated. Suddenly, little Applebloom showed up. "Who's that big sis'?" Applebloom asked. "Oh, he's a pony that has to do community service to redeem himself." Applejack explained as she went to buck another tree.

Silver Tongue knew that Applejack wouldn't see eye to eye with him, and decided to keep their conversations to a minimal. he went bucked another tree now that all his negative emotions were vented, but this time not a single apple fell, "There has to be an easier way to do this.". Silver Tongue thought to himself ​"Maybe if I got a large stick, I could just shake the branches instead of having to shake the entire tree. I will have to be careful not to shake any loose branches.". Without thinking about tradition he spoke up, "Hey, Applejack, you don't happen to have a long stick lying around do you?".

"No...I don't have any sticks around. If I did...I wouldn't give'em to you." Applejack stated as she continued to work. Applejack somehow knew that Silver wanted to take a shortcut to get his work done. "Bucking is the traditional way. There is no other way to complete this task." Applejack stated.

 Silver Tongue was trying to fight back the urge to start ranting, "Right its tradition aka, 'I'm afraid to try something new', oh please forgive me for disgracing your sacred tradition of kinking a tree of which we all must be subject to.". Silver Tongue instead tried his best to put it as gently as he could, "Applejack, I don't know what I did to lose your trust, but my way is simply more efficient if it works. I speak from experience when I say, you can't just deny new things just because you're used to the old ways, change is the only way to grow, and if you don't grow you get passed up.".

"Well...maybe it's the fact that you scammed so many ponies and thought you could get away with it. There! I told the honest truth. Now get back to work!" Applejack said annoyed. Meanwhile Thunder was doing a little bit of volunteer work at Sugarcube corner.

 "Wow, she didn't even give me a chance, just shut me down like I didn't know what I was doing, well I didn't know what I was doing, but thats where creativity shines the most.",  as Silver Tongue continued trying (and failing) to buck the apples down he remembered the debacle with the flim flam brothers, "Right those hot shots must have ruined any chances I had with that idea.". "Okay, I'm in your farm i'll use your methods. Just remember the easy way isn't always the wrong way if you have good intentions.".

"There is no easy way. This is the only way to get apples down from a tree. Do any other way, and you might damage the tree. Apples continually grow on these trees, so be careful. This is why bucking is the best method." Applejack explained as she bucked another tree and all of the apples came falling down.

 "Maybe for you but I don't have superpony strength, unless... I'm going to have to see a doctor about this afterwards but I can't fail such an honest pony.". Silver Tongue facehofed, shacked rapidly, and turned to face the tree giving it a buck. Lo and behold all the apples fell. Silver Tongue was rushing from tree to tree asif under a time limit. "Activating an adrenalin rush may not the safest way to get the job done, but it won't get done otherwise, not with my scrawny muscles.". "Don't worry I haven't lost my mind yet!", Silver Tongue tried to reassure applejack between bucks.

Suddenly, Big Mac came out and saw Applejack and Silver bucking apples. He watched from a far. Granny Smith was in the barn organizing some stuff that she was able to carry. "I just hope you won't lose your mind...." Applejack said worriedly as she continued to buck trees.

 "Only time will tell.", Silver Tongue replied, refreshing his rush whenever it started to wear off. "I guess farmwork isn't that hard, just very dangerous. Maybe those two months in prison really did get to me. Is it normal for everything to go black and white? Oh well, to make an omelet and so on.".

Applejack continued to buck the trees. Big Mac went and got the plow out the barn and started to plow the fields to prepare for the new crops. Thunder soon landed in front of Sweet Apple Acres. He then called Applejack. Applejack went to Thunder. "How's Silver doing?" Thunder asked. "Well...he tried to...well...do stuff his way...but I stopped him." AJ stated. "Well...he;s got a warning then..." Thunder stated.

 "I knew it I should have just tested it myself. It would have been clear how effective it was, I wouldn't have had to go into an adrenalin rush, and I wouldn't have gotten a warning. Now is not the time to ponder on what might have been, I have to sugarcoat the situation.". Silver Tongue seemed a bit shaky, but retorted with a lighthearted smile facing Applejack, "You're still worrying about that? you gotta learn to let stuff go. So whats next?".

Thunder read Silver's mind. "You ain't gonna sugarcoat it!" Thunder called out to Silver as he turned back to Applejack. "With the Element of Honesty around...it should be no problem keeping him straight." Applejack said to Thunder. After a little, Thunder left and Applejack resumed bucking trees.

 "I guess Applejack knows he can read minds, I was half expecting Applejack to look at him like he was crazy. That would have been pretty funny, for him to try to explain that.". Silver Tongue let out a light chuckle at the thought and tried to continue bucking trees as best he could. "Don't worry warden, Applejack won't let the nasty criminal try anything funny.". "Geez everyones so touchy today. Its almost like everyone forgot how to laugh, and said screw it were gonna be on a hire trigger today.".

"It's just that this is serious Silver. You're on a teeter-totter and you're leanin' towards the wrong direction. So I suggest you just keep your mouth shut and get back to work!" Applejack ordered as she continued to buck apples. Big Mac was still plowing the fields.

"She talked to me, then told me to get back to work asif I started the conversation, even then kicking a tree doesn't exactly take all you're concentration, oh well I'm not one to talk about avoiding half baked logic. Hmmm if a convict notorious for swindling and using adrenalin for the smallest of tasks, were to try to convince me that he had a better method for my job I probably won't trust him either. I guess that hindsight for ya.", Silver Tongue thought to himself, then spoke up at the same time as bucking, "Hey Applejack, you think I would be better off as a sails pony, or are you afraid I'll exaggerate about you're apples, or steal something?".

 

(OOC: the first sting of dialogue was supposed to be in 'italic' but it bugged out and changed it to regular text after I typed it all out.)

"Most certainly not! You sway ponies with your magic and think you can get away with it! Heck...that's the worst job for you. Better off as a delivery pony..." Applejack grumbled. Applejack was now fed up with Silver trying to swoon her. "That's it! If he tries one more time, he's done for the day with no more chances!" Applejack thought to herself.

 ​"Hmmm... maybe if I pester her enough she'll just say screw it and I'll get out of farm work in exchange for something less strenuous. That would hardly be sporting so I guess I won't do that. It's really amazing how ponies persecute others just for their knowledge and abilities, I think I heard about a zebra dealing with a similar situation. Sure I did use them for negative purposes, but I had my back to the wall, using it here would just be lazy.". Silver Tongue vision and hearing was starting to fade out of focus as the adrenalin was finally taking it's toll. ​"Besides I can't in this state.". Everything went black and white for Silver Tongue, "Come on she's already fed up, If I stop now than Thunder Dash is gonna make this job much worse.".

Applejack was just looking at Silver like he was crazy. He continued to look at him. One more instance and she would kick him off the farm and hand him back to Thunder, which she did not want to do. She was happy that Silver's horn was disabled so she wouldn't use any magic on her.

 Silver Tongue noted Applejacks stare, with every new tree the gap between to two grew, slowly, very slowly. "This is bad. dear celestia let her be the type to overlook details, at least if I collapse I'll have some time to get back up befor it was considered a problem, maybe I can slack a bit so that won't happen. If I could find a way for her to calm down... I... No stay on track. What was I doing?". Shaking his head lightly he spoke "You gonna staring like you're better than me or can we grow up and focus on work?". Silver Tongue didn't care anymore, ​"If you don't want me on your farm, now is your chance to pass your ritchus judgment on me. I am sick of Applejack putting me down every time I try to help anyway, but I guess my help isn't good enough, maybe the next person I try to help will at least tolerate it.".

 Silver Tongue stopped in the middle of his next buck, "When have I ever talked behind any pony's back? How do I even prove that I wasn't?". She had struck a huge nerve, he seemed to physically shy away from her stare, but Silver Tongue tried to stay calm, "Fine, fine, I'm not here to think anyways.". "Who am I kidding, the real reason I hate that stare is because it's-", the thought was immediately cut off by a looping song in his mind.
