"Thank you!" Pinkie said as she said as she took the ingredients and put then in the batter. She then stirred them and put the batter in a cake pan. "In the meantime, why don't you go help with the unloading of packages in the back. Mr. Cake will be there to meet ya!" Pinkie said with a giggle and a snort.

 "Right, on my way." Silver said as he made his way to the back of the shop. On his way Silver hopped that those boxes weren't heavy enough to make it as hard as the job on the apple farm.

"Most of those boxes are probably full of flower, how heavy could they possibly be?".

 "Sounds like a plan.", Silver said with a calm, and collected smile. "Why don't the delivery ponies unload it? do they assume every store has a pony to unload the supplies? I guess you half to pay for the extra serves.", Silver Tongue thought as he went to lift one of the boxes.

(Well...I had my music blasting this sunday morning jamming and worship AND paying attention to the traffic when the nasty sun glare gets in the way and I end up having to pull an emergency stop in the perfect time, and a cop tells me to turn my music down and pay attention. He just assumed that I was jamming and completely distracted by the music when clearly the sun glare was what messed up my vision.)

 

Mr Cake watched Silver as he unloaded the box. He also unloaded one as well.

 (OOC: Some how, Cops know exactly the worst time to pull someone over... IT'S THE ILLUMINATI! In all seriousness, there has to be a way of dealing with sun in the eye, or else you couldn't go west at dawn, or east at noon.)

 

 Silver Tongue continued as the aces he was feeling intensified, but was able to work past it, knowing he wasn't the only one on the job.

(OOC: Exactly, and he goes directly blames the music and me. I was going to tell him about sun the sun glare but knowing cops these days...)

 

Mr. Cake continued to help Silver with the boxes. Meanwhile Pinkie was decorating the place for the upcoming foal's birthday party. "We've gotta get these sweets and ingredients unloaded because there are 5 birthday parties today." Mr. Cake stated.

 "Five birthdays? I didn't think the ponyville population was that large. Maybe it's a coincidence?" Silver asked with a look of mild surprise on his face. "It's funny how the small things are tripping me up now. I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Cake could read my mind, but for some reason the five birthdays got me.".

"It may look like a small town but Ponyville has a pretty large population. Ponies live in families and do stuff together. Pinkie Pie, although she's not related, lives here in Sugarcube Corner." Mr. Cake explained as he continued to help unload boxes from the carriges.

 Silver gave Mr. Cake a nod as he continued his work, "Ah, of course, every baker doubles as a town tour guide, I almost forgot about that. This town really needs a tour guide. With all the catastrophes that happen on a regular bases, you'd think this was a tourist hotspot but I don't think I saw any on the way here. Maybe they are all hiding in their homes out of fear of another disaster." Silver Tongue thought to himself as he worked to distract himself from his growing aches.

Mrs. Cake came from behind and took some of the packages. She then started to unpack the individual pastries. A delivery pony came by. "This should be the last set. After, why don't you go help Mrs. Cake with unloading and sorting the individual pastries." Mr. Cake stated.

 "Like I'm gonna say no?" Silver lightheartedly replied, not realizing the full implications of that question, until well after he said it. "Well maybe he won't realize the implications, just as I didn't".

"That's the spirit!" Mr. Cake complimented as he went to the front. In the front, Pinkie was lining up the sweets in the correct plates. Mrs. Cake was prepping her spot for unloading and sorting out the individual pastries. "Oh Silver!" Mrs. Cake called out as she waited for him.

After the last set, Silver was relieved at the debacle he dodged, and slowly trotted up to Mrs. Cake in hopes of keeping his aching joints from getting too bad, "Right, will I be giving each individual item to you, or is somepony going to tell me where they all goes so I can help sort them?" Silver asked sincerely.

"There you are. Alright, help me unpack and sort these sweets. Cupcakes go in this first table, Cookies go in this second table, and doughnuts go on this last one right here." Mrs Cake said pointing to the table on the far right. Meanwhile Pinkie had finished decorating.

 "Sounds easy enough." Silver said putting a box of Cupcakes one the first, a box of Cookies on the second, a box of doughnuts on the last table, and used what was already on the tables as a refrains guide incase he forgot. Slowly his pace increased as he was carrying more boxes at a time.

"That's just what we need." Mrs. Cake stated. She then looked at the clock. "Oh my! Five minutes until the first party starts!" She stated as she ran to the front and made sure the sweets were set up. Mr. Cake then came from behind. Meanwhile Thunder was doing his daily patrol.

 Confident that he was in enough of a grove that he wouldn't mess up Silvers mind began to wander, "I wish I could just go out on patrol. I wouldn't even have anything to search for, I would just randomly stop ponies, just to see how much they would panic at being stopped by the local vigilante. Well I wouldn't be a vigilante if I just stopped ponies. What if I just gave random advice? That-", Silver stopped himself when he realized he was about to put a box on the wrong table, and quickly checked to see if he had misplaced any others, but thankfully this seemed to be the only one.

"Careful now Silver. Don't let your mind wander when you're sorting these pastries. It's best to have full focus." Mr. Cake advised as he started to help Silver put the pastries on the correct table. Meanwhile a couple of the foals had entered Sugarcube Corner. "We must hurry, the party will start in two minutes." Mr. Cake stated.

 Silver Tongue tried to act like he was taking heed, but in his mind all he could see was his dad giving another lecture, and tried to distract himself with Mr. Cakes last comment, "Quickly now, we must make haste for time is short!", Silver imagined Mr. Cake saying in a full knights armor, before returning focus to the task ahead.

Mr. and Mrs. Cake were at the front to greet the foals that were coming in. They consisted of some of Applebloom's friends including Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. It was in fact Scootaloo's birthday and Rainbow Dash herself was there. Thunder had showed up as well.

 "That should be the last one." Silver said out loud as he placed the last box, and saw rainbow maned pegasus enter. Just by the way she entered he knew she wouldn't see eye to eye with him. Then Silver remembered some rumors about about a rainbow maned pegasus performing a sonic rainboom. "That must be her, probably the hotshot type. I better keep contact to a minimum. Don't want to take the spotlight.". Normally Silver would be all for upstaging a hotshot but it was clear to him that now was not the time.

Rainbow Dash went right up to Scootaloo and gave her a hug since she was now her younger sister. "Pay attention Silver." Mrs. Cake advised as she laid out the pastries on the table. Pinkie then came out with a birthday cake for Scootaloo and got everypony to sing Happy Birthday.

 Silver sang keeping a bright happy smile on his face, trying to imagine knowing the young filly for years, and being careful not to outshine anypony else.​ "First impressions are vital, so lets not mess this up. I'll probably be fine as long as nopony puts me on the spot", Silver thought to himself.

Scootaloo blew out the candles and everyone cheered. Mrs Cake then directed the foals over to the sweets corner plus the birthday cake. "You can have a piece of the cake Silver." She said warmly as she went to get a piece of the cake for herself. Scootaloo cut the first piece.
