So, I've decided I'm gonna write a short story a day, and post 'em here. Here's the first:

It's a Funny Thing, Losing Your Mind

I was lost. Dazed, confused and lost. I wandered about the empty city, hoping to find a soul, but I saw not one. I looked for my friends, my family, my love...nothing.

I tried to be rational. I did. I though there may have been an explanation. I tried to think of one. It never came.

The concept of an explanation to this started to seem ridiculous. Funny, even. Something like this clearly had no cause.

I started to laugh. I heard things like "he's far gone now," and "there's no hope for him anymore, lock him up", but they were faint whispers. I knew my mind was unraveling at the seams. I just laughed. And laughed. And laughed.
