It was terrifying. It just looked like a really tall well-built hairy man. Like the old Russian folk-tale of the Замороженные человек.

Couldn't have been a man I mean since you heard growls etc... there can't be a man. Unless this man is a really psychotic lunatic? Idk what to tell you... Could have been a huge bear? was it night time?

It was night, but I've been seeing bears since I was a child. Bears can't sprint on two legs....and I have no idea what kind of "man" can sprint through a forest like he was running on pavement.

In fact the thing I saw was much more human in stature. It was really dark but it looked very human, no hair on the face and no tail.

I was going to suggest possibly a zombie, as silly as it sounds. But then you mentioned he sprinted through the forest. I don't think one bottle of vodka can impair you so much that you start hallucinating man-like creatures that grunt at you. I really have no idea what that could have been.

It wasn't even a bottle of Vodka. I had one tiny shot glass too.

There are a few things that i find odd, you thought it was a deer, yrt you grab a revolver? Why? Would you kill and innocent deer?

Also, why did you follow it?

What if it was a man who saw you had a gun and got scared and ran off, yet you run after him?

Well rule of thumb don't mess with russians and they won't mess with you. So whatever/creature was being a idiot.

It "could" have been a deer. I am a paranoid person.

Also I've had trouble once before with a guy who came to my house and tried to burn a cross on my lawn. So I immediately think to attack instead of run away.

Maybe it was an escaped mutant from a Laboratory?

Or maybe even an Alien?

If the multiverse theroy is true, it could even be some sort of monster from another parallel universe.

I had a similar experience. I didn't see it, but I heard it. It definitely was bipedal, and the strides were much too long to be human. Perhaps we both saw the same creature (same species, I mean).

I really don't think it was an animal. Unless animals are human shaped and run on two legs. The only light I had was from the house, then I used my lighter to guide my way through the forest. I was the only one who saw it yes.

In Brasil we have stories about enourmous man like creatures who are neither Man nor beast. In america you cll them Yeti, or abomidable snowman.

You live in alaska yes? I can almost assure you that what you described would be a yeti. Lol I am not a superstisious but perhaps you should consider that this is not something you would normally see. Google 'Yeti'

They are huge creatures. Much taller than a tall man, and they are said to be fierce. Howver the sotires about them are dismissed and many have forgotten them. A shame really, but there is no reason to dismiss it here. Oh it could have been this! This would make for a much more pleasent situation!
